The rocking chair has a bent Chrome tubular frame with bent wood caned seat and back. The chair measures approximately 24 inches tall x 14 inches at its widest point x 27 inches long. The chrome tube frame shows slight surface scratches and minor spots of surface rust, and the caned seat and back show normal wear to original finish. Mid Century Drexel Mahogany Desk and Chair Set
This listing is for a mid century modern Drexel desk and chair set. Desk is mahogany and has a label in one of the drawers certifying it is'genuine mahogany' from the Mahogany Association. Inc. label is next to the Drexel stamp. All of the desk drawers are in good working order and are dove-tailed. There is a center drawer with a pen/pencil, etc. holder. This drawer has what appears to be an old ink stain(please refer to attached photo of this) The bottom drawer is a bit larger and has built in slats/ dividers for file folders. The desk top is very clean with very little wear to the original finish. Desk includes a glass top protector that was custom made for this piece. Glass top protector has a small chip that does not affect its purpose. The measurements of this piece = 50" long x 24" wide x 30" tall. The matching ... morechair is also mahogany with a thick vinyl seat in turquoise; appears to be original cover. Seat is in good shape with no rips or tears. Only other issue we observed is a chip to the mahogany on the lower left desk leg(please refer to attached photo of this) Overall, this is a nice, clean mid century set, that is solid and intact with loads of personality typical of the era. Set is being sold in'as is condition' and will be available for local pickup only. Up for auction is a vintage tulip swivel base chair. The seat is made of fiberglass and the base is steel. It has a black naughahyde seat. I can't find a maker's mark anywhere. But it looks a lot like Burke. But I'm not sure. I have been told by a dealer that it is Burke of Dallas, TX, probably 70's. The seat comes off the base. Chair measures 30"H, 18" from floor to seat and seat width is 18" There are no cracks in fiberglass or rips in seat, however there appears to be a drop of gold glitter nail polish on seat(see photos) and base has some wear but is in overall fine vintage condition. Dated Sept 1968 by the Boling Chair Comp. Siler City. N.C. it must be worth 3 times what I'm asking- a true futuristic mid-century look, American made and functional- The bottom has a height adjustment as well as a tension adjustment for leaning backwards- standard on all executive office chairs- The chair is vinyl with cloth cusion and cloth inset at the back- see photos- the size is 41 inches high. 25 inches across and about 27 inches deep- the base is wooden with metal protectors on the edges- all castors roll as like new- Three(3) small blemishes that need mentioning- on the right armrest. A crack in the vinyl about 1 inch- and just in front of that ... morea slight imperfection- almost nothing but it's there- second is the upper left corner of the the chair back a small quarter inch blemish, and the on the left at the bottom of the chair below the arm rest another slight quarter inch blemish- these are visible in the photos- but you have to look hard to see them(I attempted close up photos. But the light reflection makes it a little difficult to see clearly- NOTE. these blemishes could be touched up with a black marker and made practically impossible to see) the material on the cushion and the back rest is in great condition- slight abrasions on the upper edge of the back rest probably from rubbing against a wall somewhere along the 45 years in the history of this chair- Another note- on the last photo. Vintage Retro Rok-A-Chair Stressless Rocking Chair Mid Century Modern
This is a very nice genuine Rok-A-Chair that looks great and is extremely comfortable. This is the five button version and I believe the color is called Celestial Blue. It is in very good condition with only a rip on the back at the very bottom edge that is not very noticeable and a few missing upholstery nails on the back. The arms have already been reupholstered and the upholstery is soft and without cracks. It will be disassembled for more economical shipping. It is easy to put together with all provided screws. The back of the seat where it contacts the metal spring has some tearing where it was glued but this cannot be seen when it is put together. Thank you!
