PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original to desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. Beautiful Antique Library Table or Writing Desk made out of quarter-sawn white oak. The wood is cut in such a way to reveal the large flaking pattern found in white oak(Quercus alba) that has been quarter sawn. Once stained. The wood has a rich golden color as seen in the photos. The table measures 28 inches wide. 45 inches long, and 29 inches tall. There is a hidden drawer on one side and a shelf across the bottom. This table is in great condition for its age. What you are looking at is a beautiful piece of furniture. Highly valued tiger maple. Also known as curly maple and flame maple. Tiger maple is a mysterious hardwood with a distinctive wavy pattern that resembles tiger stripes. The design work is absolutely amazing. Take a look at those legs. You won't find anything like it available for sale. It measures 42" long x 32" wide x 28" tall. The top is made up of two planks that are shaped in a neat design as well(not just rectangular) There is normal wear. You will find scratches because it's been used. It's not perfect but trust me that's what makes it great and invaluable as time passes. People who take furniture and refurnish it only ruin it. The value of it being an antique is gone when you do that to furniture. I want to be completely honest with people. antique empire oval mahogany library table great grain
this is a gorgeous antique empire mahogany oval library table. Unfortunately you can't tell it from my pictures. they seem to worse than usual for me. at any rate, the light in the room is not good so i had a terrible time getting the camera to focus and then they were either too light or too dark. the bottom line is that the table is much much nicer in person. it is oval as you see, 46 inches long, 32 wide, and a bit less than 30 tall with casters. it has one drawer that is hard to see when closed, the front being contoured to match the contoured skirt. it is a great table and rolls easily on the casters. it has a sweet pedestal and the empire scroll feet. the feet of course are veneer, the rest of the piece is solid mahogany i believe. i will check it again to make sure and if otherwise i will add that to the listing when i get back ... moreupstairs to take a peek at it again. i bought it about 2 years ago and stuck it upstairs and forgot i had it. someone came by the house and had to sell it so they said, but not too bad for what i had to pay. they were not easy to deal with. the grain is just outstanding, however the pictures do not do it justice either. it has a couple of little dents that are not worth mentioning, one next to the drawer which can be seen in the pictures and maybe another little ding or two but maybe not. any tiny impertections do not distract from its beauty or function. it is as solid as it can be and does not wiggle, wobble, or have any loose pieces, the veneer is great and overall the table is in outstanding antique condition. it can be picked up at my home and shipped. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful. also i will be glad to do layaway on it should anyone be interested in doing such. good luck.

Large antique Arts & Crafts Mission Oak library table vtg. Stickley Limbert era
Early 1900's large Mission Oak library table from the Arts& Crafts Period. Measures 60-3/4" long. 30-1/2" deep, and 31-1/4" high. All quarter sawn tiger oak in its original finish and very sturdy. No manufacturers label or mark that I can find. Has dowel pinned joints and the lower stretcher board is mortised through(as seen in the closeup photos) The long spindled ends and overhanging top give it a great look. All original condition with no breaks or repairs. Normal surface wear including some marks and scratches on the top surface. This table has been in my home for many years and is for sale now as I prepare to move and downsize. Hi folks. This would be fabulous in any setting but outstanding in a home library. I took this apart for safety in shipping but it needs be rewired anyway. This is missing 3 screws that got misplaced over the years I had it. They are nothing special and easily gotten. This came out of a bank and was used on a long table for customers ... moreto fill out deposit slips. This was mounted directly to the table with a gang box under the table. So you’ll have to mount it the same way or attach it to some sort of base(such as a piece of marble or granite or heavy block of brass) if you want it free standing. This is not a small desk lamp the shade is 24” long. This will stand about 21” tall. It’s in good condition with the normal usage scratches but no dents. The lamp and switch has a patent date of 1911. The switch operates by pulling it out and pushing it in for turning the lamp on and off. The opposite side on the base from where the switch is it has another opening most likely for another wire to come off this lamp and feed another lamp on the table(sees my enlarged pictures) Note: I found a smaller one like this one but with a base offered awhile back at an auction house online and the pre-auction estimate was $1500.00- $2000.00. Please take a look at the many other antique hardware items I have listed. My pictures are large because I not only want to tell you what you’re getting but also for you to see what you’re getting. 1901 American Quarter Sawn Tiger Oak Oval Library Table The Brandt Cabinet Works
This table has beautiful quarter sawn tiger oak wood. It measures 36" X 24" and stands 29.5" tall. There is a manufacturer stamp in the drawer by its maker. The Brandt Cabinet Works, Hagerstown, Maryland. The pedestal supports are smooth lined. It is a family heirloom, belonging to my grandparents. They had many oak pieces, but I believe this was probably one of the finer. My mother& I are in the process of combining two homes and just can't keep everything. For auction is one vintage General Fireproofing GF Modemaker metal table. It is in excellent original condition. The Modermaker series was GF's top of the line series of office furniture. And one of the best lines of metal office furniture ever produced. Extremely well-built, with a design that blended industrial masculinity and streamlined elegance. This table is painted gray and has a pale sea green rubber trim and laminate of the same color, separated by a double aluminum trim band. Flat feet, and gently curved decorations. This antique Queen Anne desk follows the style perfectly. Made in England around the year 1900 of fine mahogany wood, this desk would be a wonderful addition to any home! Fine black leather adorns the top. This leather is new to the desk having recently been replaced. Gold tooling borders the edges of the leather providing ... morea nice contrast to the wood. All four Queen Anne style legs are the perfect proportion for the desk and connected with a decorative apron in the front. Beautiful brass handles were used on the two drawers. The drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetails giving a glimpse of the skill and quality of construction that went into this antique Queen Anne desk. Finally. A fully finished back allows you to place the desk anywhere in your room. Overall this desk is in very good and sturdy condition. The front right foot has a good bit of wear at the bottom as shown in the photos. There is an age separation on the back and two very small ones on the top. Minor wear in the form of tiny marks are present on the piece as well and help to give it character. The height from the floor to the bottom of the desk is 21.5″ except where the decorative apron comes down which is 19.75″ This front right leg has some wear by the foot. The finished back has one small age separation. The shaped apron extends around the sides as well. Both sides look great! The black leather makes a wonderful writing surface for this desk.
