Henredon Four Centuries Vintage French Large Oak Armoire w/ Fitted Interior
Henredon Four Centuries French Heavily Carved Oak Armoire with Fitted Interior. The armoire has 2 beautifully carved doors that open to a fitted interior. On the front center of the oak doors are oval shaped carvings that include circling rosettes and leaves. The ribbing of this oval shape intertwines with the carvings of the paneled front. Here there is an ornate vertically placed brass pull with a cut out back plate. The center fluting continues from the top to the bottom of the doors. Towards the top of the door are additional floral style carvings framed by the curved paneled front. Also. B oth sides of the armoire are paneled. In the top center is a carved medallion depicting a vase with flowers cascading outwards. On each side of the medallion are carved vines extending horizontally towards the side of the cabinet. The top is raised ... morein the center with thick rounded moulding finishing the edge. The base has french style scrolled front legs and simple rear legs. Curved moulding between the two front legs and between the front and rear legs. The fitted interior has one large shelf on top. 8 cubby holes, and 4 drawers. HENREDON French Provincial Armoire / Entertainment Center Impressive; Stunning!!
Offered for sale is a beautiful French Provincial Henredon Armoire/ Entertainment Center. This piece is the most impressive of many that I own for its stately presence and beautiful French Provincial style. This is an Heirloom piece of furniture to be enjoyed for generations. Henredon is known for being one of the best. If not the best, of furniture manufacturers! The Armoire is in excellent condition for a 20 year old piece. There are approximately 12 small scuffs, marks and nicks to the piece. A professional furniture repair person could get these out in about 1 hour and bring this piece to Near Mint condition. The only issue with the piece is that the right door has a locking mechanism and the key is now missing. Both doors, however, snap shut so there is no issue with one door being open. There is one large drawer on the bottom; 4 small ... moredrawers inside and one adjustable shelf. The piece measures 52" wide; 24" deep and 86" in height. The top crown is removable and with the crown the measurements are 60" wide; 27" deep and 88" in height. The interior section above the 4 drawers measures 51.5" wide and 44" in height. I have listed this Henredon Armoire at the lowest price on eBay! This is available for local pick up. Buyer is responsible for the cost of all packing. Insurance and shipping. It is currently on my first floor and near to the front door so moving from here is manageable. There is also a circular driveway so it is just 15 feet to the drive. I would highly recommend Plycon if you need a mover- 1 888 655 2664. I have used Plycon previously and they are WHITE GLOVE. While the moving cost is an additional expense.
