The unit measures 64 cm's in length. 26 cm's depth, and 30.5 cm's height, and is of the usual high standard craftsmanship of all Globe Wernicke furniture. It is hard labelled at the back. The Globe Wernicke Co. Ltd. Office& Library Furnishers, London" which dates it from approx. 1890 onwards, and marketed England by Furniture Maker Thomas Turner. This piece would probably date from 1900- 1910 going by basic style, and is beautifully and solidly made, with a beautiful reddy brown colouration, and with the most simple but stylish decoration. This is an original Globe Wernicke Co. bookcase catalog from 1908. This has the Frederick& Nelson name and address on the front. Likely where you could order their various cabinets and bookcases. It is 64 pages, well illustrated with full libraries and individual bookcases, the Mission style my favorite. Also there is a fold out page in the back in color that shows the various wood grains and stains that you could order. It's in pretty good shape. The paper cover has bends and tears along the edges where the cover overlaps the insides. The first page is dirty, the rest of the pages are very clean. That fold out page is torn from the top staple, otherwise it's okay. Very tough to get an original one of these. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows. NICE 4 STACK ANTIQUE GLOBE WERNICKE BARRISTER BOOKCASE
This is a nice 4 stack antique barrister bookcase marked Globe Wernicke. This piece came out of the Dept.of State in Washington. DC and still has the old stickers. All the glass fronts are intact with no damage. Door slides work fine; one was recently replaced. All sections have the original finish with slight color variations and non matching old brass knobs. There is no significant damage only some minor stains and scratches obtained over the years. In total you are purchasing 6 pieces: 4 cabinets. A top, and a legged base. Each separate cabinet is approximately 33” wide x 13”deep x 14 3/4” tall. Total height of the case is approximately 72” Please see all photos. It comes from smoke free environment. 1900-1915 Globe Wernicke Quarter Sawn Oak Stacking Bookcase Section that has the banded sides and is all original with original sticker in the back Pattern 113 grade 299 Standard E 13 1/2 unit Globe Wernicke Co. It is approx 13 1/2" deep 34" wide and 15 1/2" tall. The original glass is good. The back is still very solid and has the original pull which is a little crooked due to the fact that the screw is bent that is attached to the pull. The scissor hardware for the door is all there. The two boards on the top are good and strong. It is a little dirty but will clean up nicely. Pictures will show you views of this item. Vintage Globe Wernicke Solid Walnut Barrister Bookcase
This three tiered Walnut Barristers Bookcase was originally manufactured by Globe Wernicke. It comes in five stackable sections. Three shelf units, a base and a topper, all made from sold walnut. The unit is a finely made piece of furniture as displayed in the photographs showing the side panel joinery. It has knobs that do not match that can be easily replaced with more desirable hardware. The cantilever glass doors are in excellent working condition and operate smoothly. The unit has a beautiful aged patina. It measures 33 inches wide x 13 inches deep x 64.75 inches high. The two lower shelves are 14.75 inches high and the top shelf is 17 inches high. It weighs approximately 80 lbs.

This listing is for 2 Globe Wernicke bookcase sections. They are both marke d 3313 BGD 14 and the finish is 373 1/ 2 imitation mahogany. They e ach measure 33" L x 13" W x 15" H. Photo one is the first and photo 2 is the other. They are an older model and are stencil ed with the Globe label. There are no tags. Both are very sturdy and the glass is intact. They both need refinish ing pretty much to the same degree. You can see in photo s that there are many scratches and marks. The only difference is that one is missing it's door equalizer(this is the scissor like attachment that Globe bookcase had that attached to the door and roof) It doesn't affect the door as there are also rollers. I'm not sure if these rollers are original or not as I've ha d other Globe sections that do not have them. Antique Early 1900's Globe Wernicke Lawyers Oak Stacking Bookcase
Lovely early 1900's Globe wernicke stacking quartersawn oak bookcase. 3 stacking units with a seperate contour top and contour base for a total of 5 pieces. Bookcase is stained black. All sections labeled Globe Wernicke Grade 297 which is quartersawn figured weathered oak. All sections have original bands around each unit. Each section has original brass knob on door, and each section has original antique wavy glass. All doors open easily and have original scissor mechanisims. The metal side rails are not present inside the doors where the doors slide back on each section. Lovely. Local pick up and paypal. I would work with you if you contact a private moving company.

c1909 Globe-Wernicke Stacking Mission Style Bookcase
Welcome! Well what can I can about this wonderful antique bookcase? First of all I will tell you this is all original and it has all three of its original label on each section of this stacking bookcase and they are also in nice condition. This was made by the Globe-Weniche Company c1906 and each piece stacks on top of each other. There are 5 pieces all together. There is one drawer on the bottom then the three individual glass front book cases and a top section that holds them all together. So you see this comes totally apart for easy transporting to your home. This is in a mission style as you can see that from the knobs and the hardware on the bottom drawer. The wood is very dark and as I am not an expert on these things I am not sure what kind of wood this is? The varnish on this item has crackled a bit from age so you can see it is all ... moreoriginal and has not been touched. There are a few scratches here and there but could be easily touched up. I think for being over 100 years old this is in very nice condition. This is a fine antique and it could be used for your many books or even for a nice vintage collection of anything you might like to display. ANTIQUE MACEY NO. 25 BARRISTER BOOKCASE & OAK DESK - GLOBE WERNICKE TYPE STACKER
I have a rather hard to find Macey Bookcase with drop front desk. Desk is in need of restoration. Lid is cuped and will not close easily, someone drilled a small hole below the lock, I assume it was to aid in opening the lid. Interior with all the shelves is in good order, one of the lid arms is missing, veneer is missing on the bottom part of the lid. Desk top is made to have additional bookcases stacked on top. Unit measures 44 inches tall by 34 1/4 inches wide by 16 3/4 inches at its deepest point. Bookcase area is 12 inches deep by 13 inches tall and about 32 wide inside measurement. Door is probably not the right one but I think it could be made to work, It is wide enough but looks like it is about 3/4 inches too short, if you added a small piece across the top it would probably work. Not sure how the slides work. Has nice pillars on ... morethe front, all in all its a pretty neat old piece and deserves to be brought back, hope someone out there can do it. I have treied to cover what i think is mostly wrong with it, I am selling with PICK-UP ONLY so if you do not like it you will not have to take it.
