Classic Belmont Barber Chair that Needs a little TLC. The hydraulics work and most of the chrome and material is nice but you can see the crack right in the back of vinyl and the base is pretty dirty and there's some putting but would clean up nicely if you're looking for a nice old chair to put to use. update- I took this to a local machine shop to have a spot weld fixed and the owner took the liberty of doing a lot of extra work while it was there. He explained he reinforced all the other welds around the chair and installed new nuts and bolts where they had come loose and he also cleaned out the old hair and lubed up the mechanisms. The chair now operates super smooth and is structurally sound to endure lots of heavy duty use. I have another belmont(seen in first pic) I'll be posting soon. I purchased from the original owner and was originally going to keep for myself. I'll be very sad to see it go: Fiberglass color is a light lemon yellow. It is STUNNING with very heavy fibers. Has original eiffel base is black and has a worn patina to it black paint is faded from age. I actually prefer them this way: No bends or breaks. No repairs. Vintage Eames Lemon Peel Yellow Rocking Chair, EAMES ROCKER 1950's
This is a vintage Eames rocker in Lemon Peel Yellow! The chair is in near perfect cosmetic shape! The Yellow is hard to adequately photograph. But is a beautiful subtle color and the fiberglass is clearly visible throughout. The chair has no cracks or holes drilled and literally looks brand new! The black and maple wood base is a reproduction and also in great condition. This is an early 50's chair and has the"designed by Charles Eames" badge of authenticity! Overall, this is a stunning example of one of the Eames most iconic designs. I have enjoyed owning it and I sure you will enjoy having it in your home as well. Please ask questions if you have them. This is a original Herman Miller fiberglass chair. The color is Salmon Seafoam. This chair does not include the base(shell only) It has the wide base mounts and all of the mounts are intact. This char has absolutely no cracks. The approximate measurements are 17 inches tall 17 inches wide and 15 inches deep. This is a vintage 1950s Stylaire Cosco kitchen step stool This is the Mercedes of Stylaire step stools. I can hear Leigh and Leslie Keno saying"This is just how we like them. just the right amount of age to prove it's real. And not a reproduction. Pretty neutral colors go with every kitchen. I f I am correct this is the highest quality stool that Stylaire made. The least expensive stool was all enamel(no chrome) and no upholstery. The best ones. Like this example, have chrome all over the place, plus padded seats and stool backs. This one, I believe is all original. Even has all four original leg caps. Mid century vintage art deco Shell Oil chair 20s/30s/40s US gas station Eames
This is one of my most treasured possessions. And I don't really want to sell it, but I no longer have anywhere to store or use it and it is not to my wife's taste, so go it must(at least, either the chair or the wife must go! It is a fantastic original American'Shell oil' chair dating. I would guess, from the 1920s or 1930s. It is exactly the kind of thing you'd have seen old guys sitting on outside gas stations in Miami in the 30s, chewing the fat while they waited for cars to come in and fill up. It has about the most incredible Art Deco look imaginable, and it has been absolutely beautifully restored by a craftsman who specialises in pedal cars. I bought it directly from him in the USA a few years back, and he is no longer trading(he was dying of cancer when I bought the chair, otherwise I don't think he'd ... morehave been selling it at all! The chair is a rocker. But not in the usual way- the rocking effect is achieved by springiness in the metal tube that forms its frame, and it is very effective- it's very comfortable to sit and rock in, even though it has no padding. The costs of import to the UK were close to the price I am selling the chair for! If(and it's a big if! you were able to find another one for sale it would cost you several hundred dollars to have it packed and shipped here. The only one I was able to find when I looked for other ones for sale was this one. Which is similar but not identical(I think it is a bit newer) priced at $995. Up for sale we have a very rare Eames Hans Barrel Back Chair. It dates back to the 1960s sometime in the wegner era. The style of it is Mid-Century Danish Modern. The chair is made out of kodawood with a leather seat. This chair is in fair to good condition. It does have two small rips on the top portion of the leather seat. From an estate. A one owner Charles Eames RKR rocking chair(Small Size) Circa 1950s. It has been in the family for over 50 years and has never been offered for sale. It is all there with the original cover plus a modern bikini replacement. The rocking chair is 27" tall. 17" from the floor to the seat, the seat is 17" deep and 19" wide. It has the original finish and runners. There appears to be one small weld as shown in the photos. The rocker is marked"Pat Pend" stamped in metal on the underside. Rare Sigurd Resell Falcon Chair + Ottoman wegenr juhl eames 1 of a pair! A rare high backed chrome based Falcon chair by Sigurd Resell for Vatne. This is a beautiful example in original leather. These are typically seen in the bent wood versions. The metal examples are much more rare and much more modern in my opinion. The high-backed examples are even more rare. Exceptionally comfortable thick leather cushions on chromed flat steel frames. The cushions attach with a very simple yet ingenious double pin that sets into the frame. Very sturdy. Condition is very good. Leather is in terrific vintage condition with a beautiful patina. No rips or tears or repairs. This one has two buttons missing but I think I actually have them. Some very light scratches as compared to the other example listed separetly. The leather connectors at the corners are ... morealso in very good condition. The ottoman is also in beautiful condition. These are very rare as a simple ottoman and even more difficult to find with the chair. Leather on the ottoman is a slightly different tone. Up for auction I have a Herman Miller Eames Side shell chair in good condition. It is a greenish grey color that I have seen described as greige. The fibers look great and I have cleaned the shell so it is ready fr use upon arrival. I took the pictures carefully so please be aware of the imperfection on this shell. There are cracks on each side of the seat where the back and base meet and a slight imperfection near the top of the chair on the back. These imperfections do not impact the structural quality of the chair. It is very solid. The photos make the damage appear worse than it actually is. Vintage 1950's Eames Herman Miller Molded Plywood DCW Dining Chair MCM Original
This is an original 1950's DCW(Dining Chair Wood) molded plywood chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames. There is a hole on the back rest because some dummy put a nut and bolt on it to keep it tighter. I did remove the bolt and put the back rest back on the proper way as it was upside down when I found it. The top of the back piece has a crack in it due to having a bolt screwed into it. The chair has all the original hardware. The seat shows a lot of use and there are a few chips on the edge. See pics. The legs are all consistent with the wear shown in the picture of the one leg. I wiper this down with soap and water to clean the dust and grime. This could be restored or left as is. I happen to like the way it looks in this condition.
