Made in England. Circa 1960 Mahogany Single pedestal Minor marks to top Repaired leg, This beautiful antique style mahogany pedestal drop leaf table was crafted in England around 1960. Over the years. The mahogany has developed a lovely patina that contributes to its rich grain and lustrous complexion, which should only continue to grow more beautiful with time. We refer to this style of table as the Regency style due to the nicely turned pedestal and the fluted and splayed legs. The feet are a brass claw foot and caster. Because this pedestal table is also a drop leaf table, it is very versatile, perfect as a side table, hall table, serving table or dining table. The convenient pedestal design also means that this drop leaf table has a sturdy base and legs that are not too intrusive. Obviously this table has been meticulously cared for over the years as it remains in very good condition today. The drop leaves function smoothly. The leaves are supported by a swing out wooden arm on each side. There are some very light marks and scratches on the top. But these do not detract from the overall beauty of the table. One of the legs has been broken and expertly repaired down by the feet, we have included pictures of this repair. It is sturdy and strong. The table is 24.25″ x 32.25″ with both leaves down and opens up to 48.25″ x 32.25″ with both leaves up. A wonderful find that would go great in any home or as a small conference table in any office! Early Antique Drop Leaf Plank Harvest Table Red Washed Primitive Farmhouse
This is a wonderful antique plank top farmhouse table with the most desirable red washed finish. If you love the primitive look you will love this table! It has drop leafs. With the leafs down it measures 43.5" L x 22.5" W x 28.5" H. With the leafs extended it measures 49" W. The table is very sturdy and would make an excellent dining room or kitchen side table. One of the hinges does need replacing as it has rusted through with age. One leaf is also turned up a bit as happens with very old wood. It's more noticeable when the leafs are extended than when they are down. Of course it comes with all the dings and marks of a piece this old but this adds to the character. We are ready to sell this historic. Hardwood, 1800's dining table. Still sturdy and classic after all these years. Has the drop leaf on each side and then swing legs(gate legs) to support sides to provide full size dining options. Also nice with the drop sides down and table up against the wall. Hope the photos are helpful the table is 28 1/2 inches high and 53 inches long. Across the top with leafs down, it is about 22 inches and each side leaf is 16 inches, so when table is full open it is 54 inches across. Some nice carving on the support legs. Some antique wear marks and some repair that seems probably to be from way back as well. When we got this table we were told that the table was in use at the Civil War era, and research online lends us to believe it may be from much earlier in the 1800s. This pembroke table includes a convenient drawer with a solid brass handle. Because this is a dropleaf table, this table offers great versatility ... morefor a wide variety of situations, and would make a great hall table when not in use for serving or dining purposes. This table measures 38″ x 22″ with both leaves down. and 38″ square with both leaves up. Three factors have contributed to our rating of fair on this piece. Although it is still a sturdy and functional table. The top has sustained various stains and indents. The rosewood banding around the outside has developed crackling and crazing. Finally, the side with the drawer has some cracks. These cracks have not affected the sturdiness of the table but they are quite obvious. Despite these flaws this is still a very nice Pembroke table that would look wonderful in the right home. A view of the finished back. A very beautiful table from all angles! More detail of the stains and dings to the top. Here you can see the crackling of the banding and some of the stains to the top. Two supporting arms swing out on both sides to support the leaves. These are the cracks by the drawer. A single brass ring pull can be found on the drawer. Square tapered legs are simple but elegant. The single drawer provides a little storage in the table. Ethan Allen Drop Leaf Table by Baumritter of NY. This table was recently refinished and in very beautiful condition. As with most things. It is not 100% perfect and has its very small flaws, but it looks almost as if it came from the factory. It is a very beautiful table that is smooth and shines like new It measures 35 L x 25 W x 24 H. It is stained in American walnut and is an older piece. Possibly 50’s, 60’s or 70's. It has pad feet and swivel wood drop leaf supports. I believe the table is made of Maple construction and is a hard to find table. The numbers for this table are 2534 and 169080. The 169080 number may represent the type of table. Such as a drop leaf style. Ethan Allen has always been known for quality and craftsmanship. Like Lane and others. This Baumritter side table has been completely stripped to the bare wood. It was ... moresanded with 80 grit then 100. 150 and last 220 grit for a smooth stainable finish. It was thoroughly cleaned in between each sanding and then stained in American walnut. It was then sanded with 220 grit, cleaned and clear coated four times, as it was sanded in between each clear coat with 220 grit. It has been sealed with a polycyclic clear coat(4 coats) for a tougher protective finish. The final product was sanded with 600 grit. Than 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 and finally 2500 grit. It was also wet sanded in those grits for a better finish. At the end, 4 coats of paste wax was applied to the table top, while the edges and legs were wiped with Weiman’s lemon oil to enhance the color and protect the finish. I would love to see it go to a good home to be enjoyed as maybe a functional table or just a nice table for a lamp and maybe some pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. 18th C. American Sheraton Drop Leaf Table, c. 1880 Hawaii. Walnut
This smallish American Sheraton drop leaf table is a gem. As an Interior Designer who has owned and operated an Antique store. I have had this in my personal homes since the early 1980's, when I acquired it in Hawaii. It maintains its original oil-rubbed, satin finish, along with all the aging marks and patina appropriate for its age and use. It was most certainly used as a gentleman's card-table at some time, as it shows a cigar burn, as well as several beverage rings, all very old. The height of this table allows you to pull up modern chairs, and dine upon it, as it has no lowered apron to knock your knees on, as do most table of this era( when we were all so much smaller in size) making it very versatile. The oval leaves were obviously hand made. As they are not exactly(1/2" difference in the drop) the same, and both leaves, ... moreas well as the top are crafted from one plank of matched walnut. Some of the screws attaching the apron and top, all counter-sink, look as though they were changed at some point before I acquired it. We are downsizing, and I have no place for this beloved and vanishing part of American furnishings history. It is rare on several counts: Its oval leaves, along with being of Sheraton style; single plank and matched top and leaves; walnut material; and the original finish being intact. And lastly, it's size. It was fashioned as an un-fussy and practical drop leaf table, so it is smaller than the formal Sheraton tables usually associated with Mahogany. This table measures 48 1/2" wide x 21 1/2" deep with both leaves down. This is a fabulous Howell Double drop leaf kitchen cart utility table for the retro decor. The legs have an art deco slant. The top is black and white formica in a tweed design with two drop leaf extensions. All surfaces are trimmed with brass so there are no raw edges to be seen. The top and bottom shelves measure approx. 16" by 24" When the drop leaves are extended. The top measures approx. 36" wide. There is a black handle on one end so you can use it as a tea cart. This gorgeous example of swinging support bracket came from an old treadle sewing machine and is ready to move on to it's next reinvention! As you can see in the photos. The mounting plate is not flat and will require a small notch in the underside of the mounting surface. This style mounts entirely to the underside of a horizontal surface adjoining the drop leaf or shelf(for example. The body of the table that the leaf is hinged to, or a small extension from the wall) which means it doesn't need a wall or other vertical surface to swing out from. This is particularly good for table extensions! The mounting plate itself is 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" And the bracket extends out 7 1/4" If you're looking straight onto it like in the first photo, it swivels to the right. Once extended. It locks into place by dropping down slightly ... moreinto a front groove in the mounting plate and must be lifted a bit to swing back to the right, so the leaf or table extension it's supporting should have a small bit of play factored in to allow for that action.
