The model number of the arm chairs is 959-810 and the side chairs are model number 959-811. The 8 chairs all have upholstered seats w/ thick foam padding and beautiful soft and subtle colored antique white and tan fabric upholstery which is in almost perfect condition. The inlaid Pecan wood top of the table and the 2 large, matching, center leaves are just a work of art, quite stunning to look at and beautifully done. This entire set is all solid woods with NO particle board. NO press board, NO plastic laminates ... moreand NO stapled connections. The 4 legs are bolted onto the tabletop for easy removal and transport. This set belongs to my mother-in-law who bought this set"Brand New" in 1990 for a little over $6000 directly from Drexel Heritage in Woodland Hills. CA. She has now recently moved into a senior assisted living home and will not be coming back to her beloved home again that she cherished and kept so perfect all her life. There were NO kids left in her home when she bought this set new in 1990 as the kids were all grown and out on their own by then. So. It is in near perfect condition with none of the child dents in the legs, top and chair legs. The only flaw I found was that the upholstery of one side chair looks like it had salad dressing or some small food spill dropped on one edge of that seat cushion. I did not try to clean it but it looks cleanable with a little effort. Otherwise, everything is in just wonderful condition. In 1990, these tables and chairs were still manufactured by Drexel Heritage right here in the USA, not China, as they now are. Two(2) 20" leaves, and eight(8) chairs(2 arm and 6 sides) The table has a banded inlay veneer top and four removeable cabriole legs with shell carvings at top. It is in very good condition with some minor crazing to top, structurally strong. The chairs carry on the shell motif with carvings at the top of the splat on the chair backs. Cabriole legs in front have a graceful curve and the arms chairs have graceful goose neck arms. Pair Drexel Mahogany Mid Century Stools, Bench, Seat Very Good Condition
Beautiful marching pair of mahogany upholstered stools by Drexel Heritage. Circa 1970- 1980. The seats or benches frame measure about 20" x 13" x 16" tall. They are marked with the Drexel label and the number 801968. The frame is marked, 596 067 5. It appears the fabric was replaced. There is a tag on bottom of seat from Biggars Custom Shop, Pasadena dated 1985. Very good to excellent condition with very light wear from use. The fabric is clean and the frame is tight and solid. It is two pieces so it is easier to move. It has a display light inside the top and 3 glass shelves. There are two cabinets on the lower part with a shelf in each. There are also 3 drawers. Drexel Touraine vintage pecan wood table and chairs. Includes table with 2 leaves. And 6 chairs. It is 3 feet 11 inches wide, 2 foot 6 inches tall, and without the leaves it is 5 feet 10 inches long. Each leaf is 18 inches. There are a couple worn spots, one on the edge of the table top and a spot on the top of a leg. Both are shown in one picture. There is small hole in the lower part of the seat back shown in a picture too. The seat cushions are still very firm as it was used for holiday meals only, but the seats could use a good cleaning or be reupholstered. Very nice furniture.
