This was the most sought after bedroom style in America in the mid Century. Built extremely well of good solid wood construction and burnished brass handles. We ADORE this piece in our living room. But are moving cross-country and have nowhere to use it in our new home! What's interesting about this piece is that, even though it is massive, the footprint is not that big. The piece is not very deep(20" so in most rooms, it would look like a built in unit! It currently lives in a home with 12' ceilings, so you don't get that idea from the pics! This is a custom configuration 6 piece wall unit by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall for the Drexel Declaration line. There is not another one like it! This piece was ordered by Joseph Zoline in Chicago a few years before he moved to Colorado to refurbish and reopen the Telluride Ski Resort as we know it today. The original delivery tag addressed to Mrs. Joseph T. Zoline is still taped to the back. Growing up. I had the weird hobby of saving newspapers. I used to save newspapers for every little thing that I thought was BIG. About two years ago, I was going through my papers and was gonna throw a lot of them out. Instead of doing so, I decided to cut them up and make clippings for collectibles/collectors. To make a long story short, since Memorial Day Weekend of 2011, I have been sorting through all of these clippings, and have been making them into packages available for sale. The newspapers I have collected are mostly from the early 1990's. But range from the Late 80's to late 2000's. Please bid with confidence. Vintage Drexel Tourraine Bedroom Set
This is a 3 piece set including dresser w/ mirror. Tall dresser and full-size bed frame. The set is in excellent condition. It has all original solid brass hardware. This furniture is in pristine condition and features beautiful long cabriole legs on the beautifully curved head and foot boards as well as on both the dressers. Both the dressers also feature serpentine dove tailed drawers that all slide with great ease. This furniture has been owned by one family and has been in the same house since it was originally bought in the early 1950's. It has been very well taken care of its entire life and still looks like it came off the showroom floor. Will sell each piece individually or all together.
