Drexel Heritage Bel-Aire Travertine Top Nightstand Discontinued
Beautiful nightstand for sale. From the Bel-Aire collection. Travertine Top. Dimensions 44 1/2" x 20 1/4" The travertine top broke in two pieces and has been repaired. I own a moving company and damaged a customers nightstand top. I purchased one from Craigslist and gave my client the unbroken top. That left me with the base and a broken top. I bonded the two pieces together with a stone mastic. Then I reinforced the bottom with fiberglass mesh and more of the mastic. Then I filled the crack on top with a Travertine repair kit. Overall. The repair looks pretty good. It looks similar to a"vein" that you would see in marble or granite. Up for auction is the nicest example of Drexel Declaration Buffet/Hutch I've seen. It has the original sales floor tag. And product literature. It's a beautiful piece. I have the matching table and chairs in another auction- check it out. All pieces have the same date code, and were manufactured at the same time for the same customer. This auction is for the pieces you see pictured here. They include the sideboard and four door glass hutch with all associated shelves, hardware, and literature. The wood is american walnut, and its a stunner in person. The sideboard could be used alone. It's very nice. It has built in lighting in the left and right door sections. A mechanism activates the light when the doors are opened. It takes a standard sized(edison) bulb. There are plugs for these lights on the back of the piece(see pics) The ... moreright door section has dividers for serving trays. Etc. The drawers are quality dovetail jointed. The top drawer has dividers for knives, forks, etc. This piece can house a lot of tableware. There is a notable scratch on the top(see pic) It can be covered by shifting the hutch portion to the left creating a modern asymmetric look. It did;t really bother us much, so we kept the hutch in the middle(as shown) The upper hutch section is a beauty. It has four solid walnut framed glass doors. And houses a set of four white"milk glass" shelves. The shelves are height adjustable. The hutch has built-in lighting, too. A few small fluorescent bulbs can be turned on/off manually with a switch on the cord. This is all original. We housed a complete set of Fransican Atomic Starburst dinnerware, and with the lights turned on a night, it was a show stopper! The condition of the upper hutch is excellent. The original literature is included and consists of everything you see in the pics below. It has the actual"hang tags" that once hung from the knobs on the showcase floor. This is a lot of 8 vintage dresser drawer pulls. They came off a Drexel dresser. Most. But not all of the screws for attachment seem to be original. Several of them have a small crack near the edge, as indicated in pic#6. This does not seem to deter from their form or function. They may need cleaning. I will leave that for the buyer. PR MID CENTURY DREXEL FRENCH LOUIS XV PROVINCIAL WIRE DOOR NIGHTSTANDS TABLES
Beautiful pair of French. Louis XV or Provincial nightstands/tables. The pair date to the early 1960s are were manufactured and are marked DREXEL(pre Drexel Heritage) and were part of the Trentino collection. The pair feature double front doors with wire fronts in quatrefoil pattern. There is a single drawer beneath the doors. The pair are maple with a medium stained finish. They are beautifully constructed and are incredibly sturdy and strong. They are in very good condition with some evidence of age/use. The tops do show some age in their coloring. This can be resolved but, as is, they have a beautifully aged character. The pair measure 24" tall. 24" wide and 16" front to back. The door sections have an interior space of 22" wide, 14" deep and 11" tall. The drawers have interiors of 18" wide, 12" ... moredeep and 3" tall. Shipping via UPS with insurance provided for you. Mid Century Post 1950 Modern Walnut End Table-Drexel Declaration by Kipp Stewart
A mostly refinished mid-century modern piece from the Drexel Heritage Declaration line which was designed by Kipp Stewart. Circa late 1950s. This is the square end table but could also be used a small coffee table. Solid Walnut and walnut veneer top(veneer top per my contractor who helped me carefully refinish this piece to it's original condition) Dimensions 30" x 30" x 20.5" tall. One small ding on top of the table and some of the cane have a minor tears(see pictures) but otherwise in very good condition for a table that is over 50 years old.
