Vintage Plastic Lidded Dressing Table Pot Halex This is an imitation tortoiseshell pot in lightweight plastic by Halex. Halex is probably more familiar as the manufacturer of most of the world's table tennis balls but it had a huge range as the major producer of finished plastic goods in the country for several decades after its formation in 1939. This was probably part of a dressing table set at one time as it smells strongly of face powder. Some light scratching and a couple of marks on the inside base from something hot- it has melted although not all the way through. I am guessing from the 1950s- early 60s. Antique c1800's Ladies Opaline glass Dressing Table Set French? Brass? Mounts
These are so delicate and beautiful and they look very OLD. I did not clean them. The auction is for the set of 3 bottles and the vase/mounted stand They were bought from one dealer so I would like to keep them together as a set of 3 bottles and the mounted vase/basket. It is hard for me to date these because opaque white colored glass is sometimes called milk glass and sometimes Opaline glass. According to the internet Milk glass is very old and a favorite glass during the Georgian/ victorian era. Much of the translucent opaline glass especially that which was mounted appears to be from France. Today the BBC roadshow had a similar looking mug with enameling that dated to the late 1700's. These pieces look like they could be c1780-1800 because of the hand made. Hand painted, workmanship. To me they look like something you would find in ... morea Georgian dressing room at the time of Martha Washington. There are two large bottles one with a very rough pontil mark(the other polished) One has a very long and skinny neck with a small opening. I think it is an early rosewater sprinkler. This bottle is 7" high and shows tool marks where the glass maker held and worked the delicate neck. It has a smoothed pontil and is marked with the#30 in old script on the bottom. It has light green enameled beading and swags. The other bottle is 8" with a larger diameter. The 8" bottle has a larger mouth and is highly enameled and jewel like it in its treatment. It has a rough unpolished pontil and an old english#4 painted on the base. The painting is so bright on this bottle it doesn't look like it got much use. Neither bottle has a stopper and I don't know if they were suppose to have stoppers. Perhaps the stoppers were once cork. The vase has a metal mount making it a basket and it appears to be the support for 2 small bottles. One bottle remains and is perfect. I don't know where the other went. A pretty. Dressing table brush and mirror set, I believe dating to the 1950's. Vintage Petit Point Golden Embroidered Vanity /Dressing Table Brush & Mirror Set
A beautiful matching petit point and embroidered mirror and hairbrush vanity set. The mirror is oval and has a bevelled edge. And the hairbrush has nylon bristles set into a wooden pad. The petit point retain their lovely bright colours and the delicate golden thread embroidery is also bright and glistens. The metal handles and surrounds are golden in colour and have a fan shaped design. The age related faults that I can find are a slight scratch to the mirror and a small area of yellow discolouration to the embroidered design on the mirror, with a couple of tiny dinks to the metal. The Peach colored dressing table measures 7inches high. 5 1/4 inches deep and 12 1/2 inches wide. The drawers work and pull out without difficulty.see pictures. The Pink table measures 7 1/2 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide. There are some scratches on the paint. There is a picture of kittens on top of the pink table and a rose on the bottom shelf of the pink table. I'm not sure if they came on the table originally. Old Vintage Kidney Shaped Shabby Vanity Chic Dressing Table Desk Bench Glass Top At its widest this dressing table is 36 inches! Is about 30 inches tall. The kidney shaped table has its original glass top. This table was manufactured by to Salisbury Brothers in Vermont. The original label is still visible on the back of the table. The brass or brass colored wire bench with the cushion goes with the table. It has some damage. On two sides one half of a seat wire is disconnected from the frame. Please examine the photographs and ask any questions. Thank you. Also the skirt does have some staining. And some rust on the staples is evident. At least one staple is missing. Overall this lovely table is in very nice shape; however. It is being sold"as is.

This is a vintage wood vanity. I would say it is from the 20s. 30s or 40s. It has a round mirror approx 48" diameter. The mirror can be detached for transport. The mirror is not perfect, in some places the silver backing is scratched. The bottom vanity piece is 50" wide, 19" deep and 24" height from the floor. The height of the entire piece from the floor including the mirror is 64" It has 5 dovetail joint drawers. 2 on each side and one in the center. I listed this item with no returns accepted. However, if you purchase, and come to pick it up promptly, and when you see it you don't like it, we can cancel the transaction.
