The wavy glass in the doors rattles a little from shrinkage due to age. The only damage we see is a few tiny chips at the edges, see photos. As you can see this is profusely carved piece with flower and leaf detailing and lots of turned spindles. This is a two piece dresser with two cupboard doors to the base with two drawers above. Nice 2 board top and original teardrop hardware, recently imported through Edinburgh, Scotland. This delightful little cupboard stands 29 1/2 inches tall by 22 inches wide by 19 inches front to back. Inside the cabinet the open space measures 23 inches tall by 19 inches wide and 16 inches front to back. This cabinet space is divided by one removable shelf that allows 8 inches clearance below the shelf and 14 1/2 inches above. Overall it is a fantastic antique cabinet and will be a great addition to any home, study, cabin or place of business needing a lovely little mission style oak antique cupboard. The latch is solid cast iron and nothing like the pressed junkie steel ones you’ll find at a home center. These are usually referred to as utility latches because of the wide range of uses. I’ve seen these used on transom windows, cabinets, casement windows almost anyplace you’d like to use a unique looking latch. The latch and keeper will work on either right ... moreor left hand side of door or window. The latches are cast iron and the keepers are steel. The keepers are not original to the latches but are the correct type for them. The condition is very good with the latches having age darkening dings and scratches and loss of finish from age. These are still somewhat stiff to turn and are not all wobbly like many I come across. All I did to these was a quick wipe down with an oiled rag. The approximate measurements of the latch base are 1 1/2” x 1 3/8” The T-handle or grasp is 1 5/8” across. The keeper is 1 ½” wide at its widest point x 1 ½” Circ. about the middle of last century. Nurse First Aid Antique Figural Medicine Cabinet Cupboard Vintage WWII Era
This medicine cabinet is in very good condition for it's age. It has a few small nicks and chips. 2 holes in the back for mounting(as well as a copper wire) and is fully functional with a tight gripping latch. It measures 33-1/2" tall x 13-5/8" wide x 4-3/4" deep. Knob is 1-1/4" diameter and sticks out another 1-3/16" from front. Bottom to top of cabinet is 22" and the Nurse's head makes up the remaining 11-1/2" in height. Width of interior is 12-5/8" and each shelf is 9" tall. Weighs 13 lbs 10.5 oz. I have not attempted any repairs, and those dark spots on the back are from where I had just wiped away the dust with a damp cloth. But I don't believe these two parts go togethe r. The lid fits but doesn't screw on tightly I've been told the jar may be a sugar jar for a Hoosier cupboard no chips or cracks in the glass.
