It is beautifully inlaid in cut brass with a jester in the centre of the panel in the central door. In addition there is scrolling acanthus foliage with flowers and honeysuckle. It is further adorned with a plethora of fabulous ormolu mounts. The central cupboard door. With raised oval panel, enclose a red velvet lined interior with a shelf, and is flanked by two serpentine glass doors with shelv es. The DFQC label has apparently had many versions. Older versions had a burned logo. A metal plate and some a metal foil. Versions that came later were paper or textile. In general it seems that the original name was Danish Furniture Maker's Control. This was changed in the 1970'ies to Danish Furniture Makers' Quality Control. The label pictured says Danish Furniture Maker's Control. I am not an expert but from my reading on the internet it appears that the label on the furniture dates the furniture from the 70's or before the 70's. The label on the furniture says Danish Furniture Maker's Control and not Danish Furniture Maker's Quality Control. The paper identifying information on each part of the credenza have the Poul Hundevad indication.

HEYWOOD WAKEFIELD M1544 CREDENZA, MUST SEE!
This three door credenza(M1544) produced between 1956 and 1961. Has its original Wheat finish and is very clean and in very good to excellent original condition- please look at all photos closely. The Wheat finish is a little less pink than the Champagne finish. But our dining room H-W table and chairs were the Champagne color and the difference was difficult to see. This substantial credenza is on casters. Making it easy to move for cleaning or accessing electric outlets. Not only is this a wonderful serving piece, it has great storage! The top left is a silverware drawer lined in felt, below it is a deep cabinet with one shelf. The top right drawer has a white melamine interior as do the two large drawers behind the center and right doors. Although probably intended to store linens, the two lower drawers conveniently pull out and are sturdy ... moreenough to hold china. There is some slight discoloration in the felt lining of the silverware drawer. As shown in the photos. Besides minor signs of wear, this piece is in remarkable condition. Mirrored back shelves in the front turn to reveal a storage area behind with container/barware holders(also a mirrored back) Both turning sides are in excellent condition and circulate properly. Interior shelves and cut shelves are original; mirrored backs are in excellent condition. There is also a hidden pull-out shelf in the upper center portion of the credenza. Which reveals an additional prep/serving area. This feature has a black formica surface with a small brass pull. Below the pull-out shelf are 3 additional shelves behind 2 bubble glass doors. Made in Sweden Done in a luxurious what looks to be birch wood. That has an exquisite grain. Recessed drawer pulls with brass backing. Center panel has swinging door with two interior shelves. Room and Board Custom Hudson Credenza
This is a custom built credenza by Room& Board. Very gently used and has been well taken care of. Has a few very small surface scratches near middle knob on front. Solid wood so it is pretty heavy. I would recommend several people to carry this out. It is in the basement so you would need to carry it up one flight(about 8 steps) of stairs. There is a snap shot of the price for the same custom credenza with all of the dimensions. Wood type, shelving, and extras that ours had. The wood has a beautiful finish. Solid walnut.
