MID-CENTURY DANISH MODERN DESIGN DARK TEAK SIDEBOARD CREDENZA LG FLAT TV STAND
Here is an absolutely delightful and somewhat rare to find mid-century Danish Modern design dark teak sideboard or credenza recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh and probably manufactured during the 1950's through 1970's by one of the high end furniture makers in UK at the time. Who abandoned their more traditional designs and were all making quality teak mid-century furniture to sell within the United Kingdom at the time. I have not found a tag or other identification on this particularly piece. As stated in the description of condition above, this sideboard is in very nice condition, in it's original finish and free of any major damage or issues as shown in my multiple pictures, included in an attempt to accurately represent the design, quality, condition and overall beauty of this gorgeous mid-century dark teak credenza. ... moreAs mentioned above, on the top of the sideboard, their do appear to be several faint rings or water marks, 1 perhaps 8 inches in diameter, and 3 smaller closer to 2 inches in diameter but again, all fairly light. I attempt to show them in close up but as you see in my photo's they are barely visible and do not detract from the presentation of the piece. I show this piece in my last three photo's with a dining table and a group of 6 side dining chairs, available through separate auctions, from the E. Gomme Furniture Company G-Plan Fresco Range line, designed for Gomme in the 1960's by Victor Bramwell Wilkins with each piece of beautiful teak furniture in the line contrasted with darker afromosia teak frames. Handles and legs. This sideboard appears to be made more of a darker shade like that afromosia teak used in the G-Plan Fresco line, and as you can see this sideboard goes nicely with that dining table and chairs, providing an alternative or additional matching sideboard option to the actually Fresco Range G-Plan credenza, which I also have currently available in my ebay store. This exceptional piece was made in Denmark c. 1960's and features stunning slatted teak speaker grills which are removable for placing speakers inside. The credenza floats over a solid teak base giving it a striking look. The top features 2 black laminate surfaces on the left and right side. The center area has 2 sliding doors which open to reveal a large area with an adjustable 2nd level shelf for placing your stereo equipment. Records etc. The center area ... moreis vented on the underside for your components. There is a stain and minor water damage inside the cabinet where something had spilled in one area- not very notable as it will primarily be covered but should be noted. The 2 top sliding doors do have some minor scratches from use as well as a small dark mark toward the top near the handle both are clearly pictured. The back side of this piece is completely finished so it can sit in the center of a room and look great from every angle. There are a couple very minor nicks on the back edge as pictured but nothing very notable. The front of the credenza has some very faint spotting in one area which is not very notable and is pictured in images 16 and 17. This piece measures 28.5" tall and is 87" wide by 20" deep. The center area measures 44.5" wide by 18" deep front to back. The total depth of this area not including the adjustable shelf is 15.75" The inside of the speaker areas measure 16" tall by 19.5" wide by 17.5" deep. Here's a nice piece of Vanguard memorabilia. Given to all crew members when assets under management reached the $2 trillion mark on January 2, 2013. vtg MCM Rosewood credenza and china cabinet top Risom Danish Modern 60's style
Nice vintage piece that has a couple issues- see detail. Beautiful lighted display china cabinet. Even the inside back panel of the top case is Rosewood with very pretty grain. Has a low sheen oil rubbed finish. Does need a little adjustment on the doors and has a couple areas with some good sized chips- but repairable stuff. On chip is on the bottom inside left foot area and the other on the right top edge of the bottom credenza. The bottom chip is on the kick plate which is painted black anyway so that could be filled and touched up black. And for the one on the top- if you move the top section just a a couple inches forward it covers it. Some bumps and light scratches but overall- still displays nicely and ready to use. Has holes inside the cabinet and shelf pegs for adjustable shelves- but I have no shelves with it. credenza is 56.5 inches ... morelong x19 deep x 29 tall and top cab section is 13 deep x 48 tall and the interior depth is 11 and 1/4. Hello. Thanks for checking out my auctions! This listing is for one: Broyhill Sculptra Premiere Line 6 Drawer Dresser with Mirror Please see pics! Dresser is in very good condition. Light scratches on the top. A couple of small, 3/8" indentations in the right side. They hardly show up in the pics. Also. Please see the last pic, it is hard to make out, I just couldn't get a good pic of it. But there is a thumb-nail size spot of the top surface that is raised up. It is at the back of the dresser. Near the back rail. I do not know what could have caused it. But for the most part, it is not noticeable without looking for it. But I did want to point it out to any potential buyer. The drawers all slide in and out easily. The unit is very solid and much heavier than it looks. The mirror and its frame are in very nice condition. About the ... moremirror and its mounts. As you can see. The previous owners mounted the mirror off to one side. Add to that. The way it was mounted did not seem very stable to me. SO, when I was done taking the pics, I removed the mirror and all the mounting brackets. This means the new owner will need to remount all the attaching brackets, hopefully in a more secure manner. The unit is 60" long, 17" Deep, and 31" Tall The Mirror is 43" Tall and 27" Wide I will not personally ship this dresser, I live approx an hour east of St. Louis. Beautifully made cabinetry with dovetail joinery. China cabinet has 12 in. deep shelves with routed grooves for display of plates. Brass hardware. I have not been able to verify that the shelving unit was made by Willett but it matches in style and finish. Beautiful Biedermeier Style 2-Tier Drop Leaf Buffet and/or Server with Black Inlay. Cut Out Front, and Brass Columns supporting the 2-Tier, and Acorn Style Finials. The buffet is supported by 4 tapered legs finished with tapered bracket feet. The supporting legs have a black arrow shaped inlay pattern on the 2 exterior sides. The wood paneling below the first tier has vertical diamond shaped inlay above all 4 legs. And horizontal black rectangular inlay on the panels between. There is a drawer in the center of the cut out that measures 23"L x 10 1/4"W x 4"H and is adorned with a horizontal diamond inlay pattern on the front. On the front sides of the 1st tier are the 2 drop leaf extensions that are supported by wood lopers underneath. The extension allows for an additional 15" in width of serving space(15"W x 9"L ... morex 14"L) There are 6 column shaped brass pieces that support the 2nd tier and are detailed with fluting along the shaft and a rounded base and capital. Up for auction is the nicest example of Drexel Declaration Buffet/Hutch I've seen. It has the original sales floor tag. And product literature. It's a beautiful piece. I have the matching table and chairs in another auction- check it out. All pieces have the same date code, and were manufactured at the same time for the same customer. This auction is for the pieces you see pictured here. They include the sideboard and four door glass hutch with all associated shelves, hardware, and literature. The wood is american walnut, and its a stunner in person. The sideboard could be used alone. It's very nice. It has built in lighting in the left and right door sections. A mechanism activates the light when the doors are opened. It takes a standard sized(edison) bulb. There are plugs for these lights on the back of the piece(see pics) The ... moreright door section has dividers for serving trays. Etc. The drawers are quality dovetail jointed. The top drawer has dividers for knives, forks, etc. This piece can house a lot of tableware. There is a notable scratch on the top(see pic) It can be covered by shifting the hutch portion to the left creating a modern asymmetric look. It did;t really bother us much, so we kept the hutch in the middle(as shown) The upper hutch section is a beauty. It has four solid walnut framed glass doors. And houses a set of four white"milk glass" shelves. The shelves are height adjustable. The hutch has built-in lighting, too. A few small fluorescent bulbs can be turned on/off manually with a switch on the cord. This is all original. We housed a complete set of Fransican Atomic Starburst dinnerware, and with the lights turned on a night, it was a show stopper! The condition of the upper hutch is excellent. The original literature is included and consists of everything you see in the pics below. It has the actual"hang tags" that once hung from the knobs on the showcase floor. It has grooves on its sided that receive the little shelf pins, so basically it slides onto them. This is a nice touch there are no visible means of support for shelf. Up for sale. Is a set of office furniture. This will impress your friends, family, and business acquaintances. This is not the cheap"put it together yourself" from some box store. This is quality furniture that I have owned for years. In this set there is an executive desk that measures 39" deep by 78.5" wide(it is huge! there is a mat inlay on the top of the desk to set the keyboard on so it does not scratch the desk; there are also two gravity fed cord management systems on the top corners of the inlay for cords from keyboard, mouse, desk lamp, etc. It has designed legs and sides as you can see in the pictures. Nice! Vtg LARGE Mid Century Modern Alma Furniture DESK CREDENZA Walnut Set
An amazing desk and credenza set by Alma Furniture company from the 60s and in classic mid century modern design. Made of solid walnut(even the drawers) and has laminate surface for work area that protects wood from abuse. File drawers on both left side of desk and left side of credenza along with numerous other drawers for storage. It has pull outs for additional work surface on both sides. A curved shape to area where legs go on front of desk for your guests to be comfortable, wonderful oval tapered legs with adjustable feet for leveling, metal tracking for drawers so they slide freely, extra deep drawers on desk, and fantastic design. The desk measures 78" long, 38" deep, and 29" high. The credenza is 77" long, 21" deep, and 29" high. Excellent vintage condition with only very minor blemish or two to desk ... moretop shown in close ups. All drawers etc work perfectly including locks for each side of desk. I had this desk for years and when I moved to CA my brother bought it from me and had the tops refinished. They did a great job but when he got it back set a letter holder on it and it made imprints to the varnish, they are very minor and not very noticeable but you can see them in close ups. There are also a couple of darker small streak spots on desk that were under varnish and always there that are also shown in close ups. Other than those couple of spots the desk is in fantastic condition. I can tell you from experience having used it for years that it is the most user friendly set ever! Tons of storage and very high quality. Listed for pick up only but have gotten quotes from 1,200 to 1,480 for Southeast and 1,400-1,600 for west cost(prices fluctuate with gas) The dimensions are on here so you should be able to obtain shipping quotes. Selling our gorgeous two piece teak credenza. Can be easily used as a sideboard or buffet. Was sold by Scan Design, specializing in Scandinavian furniture. As you can see from the photos, these are very versatile, both pieces can be pushed together, pulled far apart or just enough to fit your space. They can even be stood on their end for a tall cabinet design, it's up to you! When they are fully together, they measure 76 3/4inL x 26 1/8inH x 17 5/8inW. For those who like Danish mid modern century, low profile furnishings, this will be a wonderful addition to your home from ours. CONDITION: there are two fade"lines" on the top and you should be able to see them in one of the photos, not bad but so noted. As with use, there may be a few scratches but nothing deep.
