There is one drawer with two porcelain and brass pulls it has a lock but there is NOT a key, one glass door compartment with insignia and door latch that works and an open compartment The left side upper top has been notched out and there are scratches/mars. The back shows nail holes and a few areas where the wood has split. The right side is okay with the exception of some scratches/mars. This auction is for a very neat& very petite Mahogany Corner Cabinet from Scotland. I seldom buy these for many reasons. One. They are hard and expensive to ship due to their size when buying a larger one. Two, most are cheaply made of particle board and paper thin veneers slapped together with staple guns. This one Has None Of Those Traits. It's an older one. It's well made out of mahogany with a"flame" mahogany top and has very pretty"fret-work" trim across the top, down each side of the front and across the bottom. It has cute bracket feet. It has the old"wavy" glass in the door. It has a lock& key, which still work and the small size give a person great flexablity on where you can put it. Up for auction is this amazing industrial style cabinet. This thing has an incredible look. And is fresh from a workshop. It contains numerous cubbies, each protected on the base by a small lip. This would look great as a spice cabinet in the kitchen, or a display shelf. It does show use and age. It was painted a silver color years ago. the back is still green. The silver has patches of rust showing giving it an amazing feel and look. Insides of the cubbies could use a cleaning and are rusted. Some have small holes, but the metal is completely sturdy. Mid-Century Modern 3 Door China Cabinet/Buffet Condition: This piece is vintage and as such displays a fair level of wear from age. It is a nice looking all wood china cabinet with three tall glass doors. It does have two main issues. The first is what appears to be a burn to the finish on the surface beneath the doors, and a deep gouge to the top side rear corner. It has a wonderful and highly functional shallow depth for can goods or dishes. I t is oak with a funky swirl pattern that is mirrored on the matching doors. Missing one door latch There are 10" 9" and 8" between each of the 3 shelves inside. I can think of about 6 places I could use this functional piece! ANTIQUE SOLID OAK WOOD SPOON CARVED VINTAGE TREADLE SEWING MACHINE DRAWERS An antique set of 6 sewing machine drawers made of solid oak. These drawers have a spoon carved design on the front of the drawers and have a pressed carved decoration on the outside of the framework. They have their original ring handles. Each set of three drawers measures approximately 14" high x 13 1/2" long x 5 7/8" across the wood housing and about 5 1/2" across the drawers. Some of old finish is still there and looks very worn. The wood still looks in good condition with only minor nicks or abrasions and only one drawer has a crack in the wood on the bottom. The handles do have some rust on the rings and one of the brass keyhole escutcheons is missing. But that's it! Use them as they are or refinish them. They will look great! Make sure to look inside your lock first and see if you have the proper key hole. Singer also used square and flat keys. This key will NOT work on square and flat key locks. I picked this up at estate sale and don't know much about it. It was used to store old electrical components and was very dirty and dusty, I tried to clean it up a bit. The drawers have the brass moth design and 2 are missing the side fronts(see photos) 2 of the drawers do not go in all the way, I am sure that it is easy to fix/adjust. I think that this cabinet was painted some time ago and there is wear, scratches and some nicks. All of the glass it intact. I would like to have local pickup but I will also offer that if the buyer wants I will ship, this means that I will take it to the local UPS store in Olney, MD and they will box/crate and ship the cabinet and you will pay what they charge ... moreand they are quite expensive.
