Up for sale is a great workhorse of a bari! If your looking for that great vintage french metal sound but don't wanna spend the $7-10.000 it costs for a Selmer, than this would be an excellent option for you! This is a 1952 Buffet Crampon Dynaction Bari sax. These saxes were the closest french competitor of the selmer's but can be had for a mere fraction of the price! This one is a very nice player. I've had it set up and a few pads changed recently and it's playing great. The horn retains about 75% of it's original finish. Buffet rare 1920's Art Deco from Austria or Germany
This is a rare grand piece. It has not been restored and I have tried to show the minor damage in the pics. The square cutouts originaly held cut glass liquer bottles. In the center with the drop down door is a tin/porcalined food box. The cabinet on the side has the original brackets to hold 2 glass shelves. The one key fits all the doors. The drawers need a little work to make them glide easier. There are no identifying marks. The top part of the buffett lifts off the base for easy moving. The approximate measure of the base is 76 in. x 23 in. The approximate measure of the top half is 76 in. x 15 in. and she is 69 inches tall. I call her the Grand Old Dame because she commands the room. I have researched this piece for 11 years and have found only one other that was very similar. 1958 Buffet Super Dynaction(SDA) Alto Saxophone This instrument is in great shape with about 75%+ of the original lacquer remaining and no dents or signs of any past repairs. It was recently(October 2012) fully overhauled and has had very little play time since. The overhaul was done using white Roo Pads and Selmer style nylon domed resonators. The action is tight. Snappy and quiet and the horn plays like a dream throughout the entire range of the instrument with great intonation and that classic"full and punchy" French sound. See the video below. The neck is in great shape. It has never been pulled down. These are fantastic hand-made. Vintage French saxophones and were built to directly compete with the Selmers being built at the time. 1820s tiger oak buffet
This buffet was built in France circa 1820. It is in perfect condition. The drawers are dove tailed and not loose. They slide in and out. The doors are un cracked and do not sag or rub. The three beveled mirrors are un scratched and in perfect condition. All the finials are original and not cracked. There are no water mark or rings on the top or on serving shelf. This is a superb example of fine 17 century furniture.

I had this particular instrument inspected by my well established independent band instrument shop, and they informed me that the instrument is ready to play. Presented for auction is a great Vintage Buffet Crampon Paris B12 Clarinet with Blue Velvet Lined Hard Case. The Clarinet is in very good. Gently used condition, with very minor light signs of use. The serial number is 371042, all of the marked pieces have the same serial number. The Clarinet is marked W. Germany. A friend checked the clarinet out and it sounds great! The pads are soft, all of the cork is in place and everything works properly. There is a little minor roughness on the end of one of the sections, as I pointed to in the last photo. You'll be able to see the two small spots. It's negligable, but I wanted to mention it for completeness. There are also 3 Rico V-3 Reeds and some cork grease. Hi there. This is Abigail, my 1989 Buffet R-13 Bb. She's been recently serviced, corks are new, and she plays beautifully. I was using her everyday, so, she stands up to the rigors of working hard. She has two Clark Fobes Barrels included(one 65mm Bb, and one 66mm A. My parents bought her in 1991 from Ken Stanton Music here in Marietta, and I am the original owner. She comes in the original case, and I'm throwing in a Claude Humber mouthpiece. She'll work great for students, as her modern counterparts are $3000-$4000. A great deal for a great horn!

This beautiful instrument would be perfect for a college music major or for an advanced high school clarinetist as they begin their orchestral endeavors. I purchased this clarinet in 1977 for my study at Eastman and used it playing in many orchestra gigs. It has been lovingly used be only me. The clarinet is in excellent condition and was overhauled by a woodwind repair man in Rochester. Serial number 161483. As you can hopefully tell by the photos. There are absolutely no cracks or chips anywhere on this instrument. Pads do not need replacing. There are no leaks. Serial numbers match both top and bottom. Silver keys. The Pouchette Double Hardshell black leather case is brand new and never been used. Why? When my niece purchased her Buffet R13 Bb clarinet ... moreit came with a double case which she didn't want so I was the lucky recipient! Vintage 50's era Buffet Crampon R13 A clarinet
Up for auction is a top quality early Buffet-Crampon R13 clarinet. Serial number 37806. This was built in about 1956. During Buffet's Golden Era with Robert Carree as their chief craftsman, the person who developed the R13 originally. It has a wonderful creamy, well-focused tone, good resistance and even scale, great intonation and excellent projection. It was overhauled about 4 years ago and the pads are still in great shape; you could take it out tomorrow and play it in any college or professional orchestra with excellent results. No cracks anywhere and the wood is in fine condition. The keys and rings have acquired a soft patina over the years, but are not worn and have an excellent feel and"grip" An adjustable thumb rest has been added(see photo of the back of the instrument) that is the only change or modification ever ... moremade on this horn. The case is a very nice double case from the early 1960's and the exterior leather is basically perfect on the case itself. The handle show slight signs of wear. And the velvet lining is showing the effects of 50 years of wear and tear(see photos of case interior) It wound not be very expensive to have a music store reline the case, however. Room for 4 barrels and two clarinets makes this a very useful kit for professional or university use. No mouthpiece is supplied, since advanced players tend to have strong preferences about mouthpieces already and probably already have the mouthpiece that they want. For example, I have been using a Gregory Smith Chedeville copy on this clarinet with excellent results. I have enjoyed this instrument for several years but no longer play symphony orchestra actively. I still have my R13 B flat. Though! Seriously, why spend $5000+ to buy a new instrument that is an imitation of this one. And is made of poorer quality granadilla wood(or synthetic wood) when you can have the original for big savings!
