The secretary top measures 36" wide x 46" high x 10" deep and features beveled glass doors as well as two adjustable cherry wood shelves that are grooved for china display. The back is selected veneer. The top has gorgeous carving and a pretty finial. The secretary base measures 36.5" wide x 41" high x 19" deep and features five drawers and a drop front with lock with key. There are cubbies inside the desk base as well as two drawers. The drawers are very clean inside. This secretary was manufactured in January. 1980 and is in excellent condition overall with a few exceptions. There are light dings and one more noticeable ding on the front of the secretary where it drops down(see pics#10, 11) There are also a few tiny chips low on the front two feet and one chip on the very back side of the secretary top. It is not very noticeable when it is against the wall, unless you are looking at the back(see pic#12) The Ethan Allen name is stamped in the top drawer and the date as well as the item number are stamped on the back. Ethan Allen manufactures high quality investment grade furniture that can be passed down through generations. Made in England, Circa 1960, Mahogany, All doors lock with key, Dovetailed drawers, Adjustable upper shelves, Satinwood string inlay, Minor wear to step back and feet, Sturdy. Good overall condition, This four door mahogany breakfront bookcase comes from England. The mahogany is accented with subtle satinwood string inlays on the lower doors and drawers. The astragal glazed doors at the top all lock. And each section of glass is an individual pane. This combined with the dovetailed drawers shows the high level of quality that went into the creation of this lovely bookcase. Originally made around 1960, the bookcase remains in very good condition today with minor wear around the feet and step back where the lower cabinet meets the upper cabinet. The wooden shelves in the upper cabinet are adjustable with a brass pigeon hole system. The entire bookcase comes apart into two pieces(top and bottom) to make it easier to move. The shelf depth in the upper cabinet is 10.75" Each drawer has a brass swan neck drop pull and opens and closes very easily. Finally, the top is finished off with a dentil moulded cornice. This wonderful bookcase is very sturdy and would make a beautiful addition to any home or office! As you can see there is a large amount of storage and display space. The shelves are adjusted with a brass pigeon hole system. The lower cabinet doors display a gorgeous flame mahogany grain. These are the pulls on the drawers. Each drawer is also constructed with dovetailed joints. A sign of quality craftsmanship. This close up of the step back shows some of the minor wear you will find in that area. The three adjustable shelves each measure 9” in depth and 41 ¼” in width. This is truly one of the most beautiful Victorian Secretaries of its kind that we have had the privilege to offer. You will notice that there is some faint writing on the back of the piece(see the e-Bay photo) that probably indicates either the maker or the person for whom the piece was made. From what we can see it is signed M. Hall, Hannibal, MO. The details on this Secretary are absolutely wonderful! This beautiful Secretary is constructed of mahogany. And flame mahogany over a secondary wood and the details are exquisite! Antique Italian late 17C cabinet credenza bookcase. Pine & walnut.
Here's a fine example of an early Italian pine credenza of about 350 years old. The pine now. While darker, still casts a yellowish hue that lightens up the whole piece, unlike others that are all walnut that came after this. Still sports it's original spring lock on an unmolested door(never removed or changed) No key. However. Large walnut diamond lozenge shapes on two front doors and sides. Still solid and without any weakness. Door and drawer knobs. I find that so amazing. Totally solid. Doors however are fine, but should be opened slow and with a slight lifting so that they don't rub on the lower shelf. Right door looks to have been cracked and repaired. Inside floor has an old sheet of plywood put on over the existing floor. Very minor losses to floor moulding. At one time a TV was installed in the cabinet and the back of ... morethe cabinet was cut about 8" round to accomodate the old TV's. Fortunately. They saved 90% of the cutout and this was re-fitted into the original space. Size is 51" wide. 49.5 high and 21" deep. Pick up locally or will assist with your shipper at your cost. This delightful piece stands 72 inches tall and measures 31 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Front to back. It travels safely in two pieces, the top 27 3/4 inches wide by 7 3/4 inches deep front to back and 32 1/2 inches tall. mission lamp and bookcase,very unique,rare
this unique piece of furniture is rare. I have checked every book ever printed with pictures and have found nothing, i have and you can check the web for the same. its about 57 inches high and has one door that opens up with 3 shelves inside. i have added several pictures. the first picture shows the item as i got it.without the top. from folks that have seen something similar,one side of the item shows those things(i don't know what they are called)so that the pieces can be connected without screws.on the back of the item. you will see a small hole and a square opening below the small hole. when i got it, there was a screw inside the structure and implanted in the small hole. i took this screw to a hardware store to find out what kind of screw it was. They told me it was for an electrical wire to go thru. the electrical post went inside ... morethru the hole in the piece of wood and that electrical post was the post that went up thru the top piece of wood(now missing) and into the lamp. The electrical cord which would of gone thru the electrical post also went outside the structure and thats why the hole is there,because the electrical cord would of have to be plugged in.I also found out that if you notice that there are openings on the sides and on the front of the structure too, after advertising this piece on ebay for awhile. I have received several notes of what the item is missing and after taking it to to someone who has seen a lamp bookcase like this, i found that the top piece was square shaped and fit on top of the structure. and on top of this square piece was a lamp, an arts and craft lamp and the base of the lamp fit on top of the piece of wood that is now missing and the wire went up the middle of the base of the lamp to the socket of the lamp. i also found out that the three square holes, one on each side and one in the back held a part of the lamp fixture which is missing. Whether this is how the structure was made i can't say for sure. but it seems that this is all possible and as good an opin

One of a kind bookcase from my Grandfathers' drugstore. It is a large piece measuring appx. 8' x 8' It is two separate pieces and very heavy. It has been moved twice in the past two years and could use a little tlc as there is some flaking/chipping of the paint. Arts Mission Bookcase. Excellent age related condition. Circa 1900. Base with drawer in very nice shape. And drawer opens and closes fine. Glass on both cases are wavy and old. But I can't attest to there originality. One of the glass doors has been extended at one point. Who. What, where, or why, I don't know. This is a solid wood series. Made with quartered and fumed oak. The pictures are very accurate in terms of condition and color of the wood. Which is darker then golden oak, with a reddish tint. The top piece does have a bit of lifting. But no splitting. Adorable half size quartered quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase. These were mostly made by Globe Wernicke or Macey Co. but I do not know the manufacturer of this one. Piece is executed in quartered oak with leaded glass doors. Each with pretty beveled diamonds. Additional highlights include a sculptured top and a full skirt. Completely professionally refinished(some of the backs may have been replaced) and in excellent condition(beautiful smooth surface) with all doors operating perfectly. Here's an early 1920's Belguim locking oak bookcase with massive"lion's paw" front feet. High quality locks secure all three doors from both the top and bottom. Center beveled glass door. In exceptionally fine condition and with just a couple of blemishes on top as shown in pictures. 68" wide. 59" high, 20" deep with paw feet that protrude. Cabinet a few inches smaller. Heavy and solid. Will assist for pickup with shipper of your choice for crating and delivery, at your cost.

Foliate and line carved solid side case, divided open front with carved center stile, 4) full book shelves, on molded bracket foot base; height 52" width 72" circa date 1860- 1880. This piece resided on Lexington Avenue. Cambridge, MA in the home of a Bishop in the early 1900's. It has been well taken care of for its age. The bookcase could be a very handsome asset for anyone enthusiastic about the time period and style.
