This is a beautiful Raised Outline Navajo Weaving T his is a Mission Oak 2-Stack Bookcase. Made by the"F.E. Hale Manufacturing Co. Herkimer. New York) around 1910. The bookcase is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak, and features metal alignment bands on each section. The top section is 12" tall(9 1/2" usable inside) and the bottom sectionis 14" tall(11 1/2" inside) Overall the bookcase is 34" wide, 12" deep, and 40 1/2" tall. The bookcase is in excellent condition. And has been refinished with a warm, dark brown finish. The glass has been replaced, however the hardware is all original. It disassembles into sections for transport and will fit in a pick up or van. It measures 114.25 inches wide by 105 inches tall. Overall it is in good co ndition. Early 1900's Quartersawn Oak Lawyers bookcase. Barrister is 47 inches tall. 34 inches wide and 11 inches deep. Outstanding, near mint condition. All original antique wavy glass, original bands around each section, has original brass knobs on each door and each door has scissors to open and they open with ease. Each section is labeled Hale. The bookcase has no signs of wear or nicks or breaks or repairs. there is slight wear to top that I photoed that does not take away at all, but I photoed anyway. Beautiful vintage Shaw Walker bookcase. The piece is comprised of 5 stacked parts(4 shelves plus the cap at the top) which are held together by dowels. Making it easy to transport and reassemble, even for one person. The piece is in fair condition; the wood shows signs of light wear. One of the doors sags a little when slid into the frame, two of the pulls need repair, and a couple of the dowels that hold the levels together are missing.
