This bowl is 3 3/4" in diameter and the lid is 3 1/4" in diameter and weighs 22.3 grams. I can't decipher the fancy monogram on the center of the lid but it could also just be some fancy type of scroll work. Bowl is lead crystal and it is in excellent condition. This bottle stands 5" tall from base to tip of the sterling top. I believe this has a glass dabber and was used for perfume but the glass applicator is missing. The bottle is hand cut lead crystal and it appears to have a chip on the bottom but it could be a flaw rather than a chip. Bottle was made in Birmingham. England in 1900 by Miller Brothers(M. This is a stunning antique port of two Victorian era Art Nouveau silver plated figural hand mirror and brush. They are done with an abundance of very intricate ornate detailing and are done in high relief. marked on the side of both"Victor Silver Co. July 25th 1903" the dimensional scene depicts a stylized female face surrounded by very ornate floral detailing. the handles are equally as ornate on all sides. The mirror is done in a circular format and has nice weight to it. the mirror is thick and has a beautifully beveled edge. the comb is made from a horse hair bristol and is very full and sturdy. the set has a wonderful patina from age that can be shined up if deserted. mirror measures 9 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. the brush measures 8 1/2 inches by 3 inches. they are overall in nice shape. All the pieces are done in amber bakelite with a pink celluloid face. The pieces are hand painted with small blue stones(faux sapphires) as accent. The set appears to be complete with top missing on one of the pieces. The leather case is clean with some cracks and wear but was conditioned and well taken care of over the years. The stitching and boarder are intact. The outside of the case depicts a cameo like embossed image of a goddess with some green coloring that is still visible. Antique 1800's Sterling Silver Satyr Hand Vanity Mirror -Fitted Leather Case
I will try to contain my enthusiasm for this item as I describe it. This is one of the most unusual and perhaps beautiful silver hand mirrors that I've seen in a long time. And. It comes in the original fitted leather case which has the gold embossed monogram of the original owner. The mirror and case are from Charles Bronfort. A bijouterie on the old Boulevard de la Condamine, near the port in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Bronfort was the jeweler to the principality of Monaco and created the gorgeous military medals for the monarch and army, These medals were constructed in gold and silver and jewels and incredible enamelling. They are sold for many thousands of dollars today. This hand mirror is incredible. It features the head of a satyr at the top of the handle and the bottom of the handle has the hoof. The detail in the silversmithing is ... moreamazing! There is an impressed makers mark right above the hoof on the front and another on the frame around the mirror. The top of the mirror features a ribbon and wreath motif with this motif continued so that it frames the mirror. The back of the hand mirror has a brown hand tooled leather backing. This is pulling away from the mirror slightly as shown in the photos. The hand tooling is done in gold. This stunning mirror comes complete in the original case specifically made to cradle it carefully. Probably for presentation or travelling. The entire inside bottom is a silk velvet, which is in part a grayish brown color and the portion under the top of the mirror is sort of a shearling color. In fact, when I first opened the case, I though it was shearling until I felt it and it is a cushioned silk velvet, as well. The rim of the bottom part of the case is leather and all hand tooled, again, in gold with a chevron design. The inside top portion of the case is in silk satin and has the Ch. For auction is this lovely 7 piece antique sterling silver vanity set. Each piece is stamped Sterling and I have tried to show that image in the photos. One piece I could not locate the Sterling Mark. Included in this that are two hand mirrors which measure 10" long and 5 1/2 inches wide. Both mirrors have a beveled glass mirror one has some deterioration of the silvering behind the glass. One mirror is heavier than the other most likely it has most of it's plaster of Paris remaining on the inside, both mirrors have a few dings and several dents particularly around the edges. The brush measures 9 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide, the brushe is marked Sterling, the brush portion is no longer completely intact in the mirror frame, the brush has a few dings and dents and hat is quite dented around outside edge where it would hold the ... morebrush. There is a cuticle pusher that measures 5 inches long this piece is in very nice condition. There's a nail buffer that measures 4 1/4 inches long it is marked Sterling but also carries the Gorham Hallmark, the buffer is quite worn on the bottom with the outside leather being nearly completely gone. The small dresser jar measures 1 1/2 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide, the top is marked Sterling this piece needs a good cleaning. Finally the last these measures 4 1/4 inches long I want to half inches wide this piece is missing the base whether that was a brush or something else I am not certain, is peace has quite a few dings and dents around outside. All seven pieces are quite old probably dating to the turn of the century or earlier; you should expect light to general wear on each piece, Dings and dents,and the set needs a good thorough cleaning and polishing. 100% customer satisfaction offered. 8% sales tax in New York State. circa 1890 Antique Art Nouveau Vanity Blown-Glass Jar with a Sterling Silver Lid
A nice antique cut glass vanity jar with a sterling silver lid that features an Art Nouveau flower arrangement. The interior of the lid has a vermeil coating; the lid itsself has a few pin dents. The lid fits tight and secure. It measures just about 3 inches tall without the lid and the neck has an overall diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The lid weighs 20 grams and it is marked Sterling. AG-46. Late 1880's Dresser. Powder or vanity jar*Porcelain*Made in Germany*Articulated floral*Bulbous shape*Gilt filigree trim Offered here is the prettiest antique dresser jar. This is made of porcelain. Looks to be German or Austrian. It has a unique bulbous shape, round with scalloped sides that puff out, the lid has the same scalloped shape. The top edge of the jar has high relief flowers with articulated petals that swoop upward over the edge of the lid. The porcelain is a cream color with more yellowish tone on the out part of the lid, it is embellished with pink flower. The handle of the lid is a fan shaped flower petal with the lower petals cascading over the top. The jar has a blue band with a gilt filigree design below. It is marked or signed in gold on the bottom but it is worn and I can not read what it says. Excellent vintage condition, ... moreno cracks or damage, the flower petals are all good. Antique EAPG clear glass vanity jar set of 2 cane plus other pattern silver top
On sale is a lovely and rare set of mitered cut EAPG clear glass vanity set of two. One has the word"Trinkets"written on an attached metal plate in Victorian lettering. The other taller jar has an open hole on top as it is a"hair receiver" In Victorian times. Hair was pulled off a ladies hairbrush and the hair pushed through the top of these jars to save. The hair was later put into a ball or stuffed into a net called a"rat" and used to put under the hair to give it the full Gibson Girl look popular in the late 1800's. The heavy glass has what seems to be a cane design of alternating squares with a sideways oval or 5 diamonds within(star) The glass is in fine condition with one scratch inside the rim under the cover that is a little rough on the inner side and smooth on the outer side(see the last picture) ... moreThe lids are probably nickel silver and are in good shape with one having an indentation on a spot under the letter"i" on the trim along the edge(see picture) The Trinket jar is almost 3" wide and 2 1/4" tall with a few little bubbles in the bottom of the glass. The hair receiver is 3 1/2" high and almost 3" wide. I have not seen many vanity items. Never mind sets, in pressed glass like this.

Antique matching ladies hair brush. Comb& hand mirror + Plus an extra old time mirror with stand. The extra mirror does NOT match the other three pieces. The set has a nice flower detail on the backs. The brush is also removable from the handle. This set has been used for most of its 60+ year life, but it is in excellent condition. The mirror has a few small thin scratches, but it has not been cleaned so some of what looks like scratches could be just smears. I know one that I rubbed on was a smear) The extra mirror I am including actually has a mirror on both sides which can be twisted and rotated and it has a unique attached folding stand that looks like brass. These were both my mothers and she had and used them for as long as I can remember– over 50 or 60 years. Antique vanity Shaving mirror wood 1800's
A Handsome Antique Shaving travel mirror- I think it is American Empire period in style. Possibly Crotch Mahoghany veneer circa 1880's. This mirror was from my parent's collection and stood for 50 years in their home amidst many antiques. It is a great old antique shaving mirror. Probably used as a portable travel mirror. It has folding swing out panels held together with hinges. What a wonderful(and hard to find in this condition) addition to your vintage toiletry collection. These mirrors were an important part of any traveling vanity set for the well traveled ladies and gentlemen of the Victorian era. They would have fitted in nicely into any suitcase.
