PAIR Unique Antique Ornate Silver Vanity Hair Comb Holders signed
These are genuine antique comb holders from Holland. I polished them just a little as they were black and turning green. But they need much more polishing. Each is signed with a hallmark and HH90, I believe they were made by Hendrik Hooijkaas from Schoonhaven Netherlands. One measures 1" high x 5" long and the other is 1 1/4" x 5" long. The hallmarks and signature are hidden within the design. They are very beautiful and extremely detailed with raised scenes on both sides of each. A comb slides easily into the slotted ends. WHITING Sterling Silver VANITY PEN DISH TRAY ART NOUVEAU Victorian Antique
Up for a no reserve auction is a very beautiful sterling silver. Antique vanity tray or bowl made by fine American silver maker, Whiting. The edge of the dish is very ornately patterned with a gorgeous, floral repousse. The dish measures 4 3/4" long and 2 1/4" wide. There is a monogram of"HDTC" I believe. The back of the dish is clearly marked"STERLING 2652" with the Whiting lion hallmark. The dish is in good condition overall with no holes, splits or repairs. There are some dings on the flat surface of the tray, which can be seen in the photos. This is a very pretty vanity tray made by Whiting. Thank you for looking. Both are fully hallmarked with the French Minerva head no.1 for 950/1000 and a maker's lozenge. Both boxes have floral decoration to the lids and a beaded edge. One box has a powder puff and a mirror to the interior of the lid. Both are in a good used condition with the odd tiny ding and little wear to the silver gilt. Not major and not really noticeable but I feel I must point this out. Please look carefully at the 12 photos as they are a good reflection of the boxes and their condition. Antique 14 1/2" Round Wall or Vanity Mirror with Fleur-de-Lis Design
This antique round wall/vanity mirror is about 100 years old. The original paper backing and all clips and hangers are original. This mirror measures 14 1/2" around and has what I can only describe as a"fleur-de-lis" pattern running across the top through the glass. It's impossible to tell if that design is etched or is some kind of old art/paint/gilt still clinging to the glass surface. This mirror does not photograph well. But you can make out the design in one of the attached photos- please view them carefully. The design is much more noticeable in actuality. This old mirror has a distressed patina, some wear spots, and an overall cloudiness in the glass. It's old- but still beautiful for all that. The round edge of this old mirror has the most signs of wear. Amazingly, it has no cracks or chips, or dings- it does ... morehave a slight bubble in one spot near the edge but it's very small. Antique Vintage Large Vanity Dressing Tabletop Shaving Wooden Swivel Mirror
Antique Victorian style wooden swivel mirror for a tabletop vanity or dresser. Mirror may have also been used for shaving. The frame and base are wood. I am not sure what type of wood it is. But if I had to guess I would say Mahogany, but please determine for yourself. Approximate measurements are 21 1/2" tall, 18 1/2" wide at the base and 6 1/2" deep(at the base) The mirror appears to be original and has that antique mirror patina with small black specking throughout. This is the perfect mirror if you are looking for something that shows its age, character and patina. Condition of the glass is good and it has a beveled edge all the way around(set in about 1" there is some chipping of the glass up underneath the top of the wood frame, difficult to see unless you really looking(please see last photo) Condition of the wood ... moreis good with some wear, patina and cracking to the finish in spots. This piece an amazing antique look that you can only get with with age and time. There may have been some water damage to the back of the piece at some point but it really only adds the character of the piece. Item is in all over good condition but not perfect. It has a green under the glaze back stamp of GD&C Limoges along with the word Depose and a patent date of Nov. 11. 1890. The word Depose is also embossed into the porcelain on the back. The tray is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or damage. I do not see any loss to the hand painted design. The tray measures 12" x 8 1/2" and is about 1 1/2" deep. Antique ENAMEL & MOSAIC FLORAL Gold Dore Vanity Compact & Puff Vintage FRANCE
Antique French Floral Mosaic& Enamel Gold Dore Compact Embellished w/ Pink Beads& twisted rope design This is one of the most uniquely designed and artistically created Vintage Powder Vanity Compacts I have seen. It has a detailed Mosaic design with multiple flowers in the center. And even the Mosaic stones of the leaves have been painted to create depth. All stones are in perfect order, as are the pink stones that are set around the scallop lid design. This is so well made that it's like a piece of fine jewelry! There are enamel motifs in light blue on the top of the compact case that form another creative design(some of the enamel has pin holes that are not very visible to the naked eye. But I increased the definition for full disclosure. The edge of the compact is beautifully banded by a double rope design. It closes/opens ... morewell and the hinges are very good. It also has it's original powder puff which is also in very good condition. It has a lovely bevel scalloped mirror framed in a gold setting(mirror has some some fogging and minor age marks that were difficult to capture in the photograph) The sides are embellished with detailed scrolls and flowers and the bottom also has a distinct design and is stamped MADE IN FRANCE. Please NOTE: Although the dark areas on the floral Mosaic may look like something is missing. It is actually leave shaped stones that have a darker center. I checked everything with a jeweler's eye. This Lovely Compact has a scallop like form that Measures 2-1/4" from the hinge to the front lip; and 2-1/2" from side to side. Thickness is about 5/8" closed. Antique Victorian Beveled Glass Plateau Vanity 3 Footed Mirror 10" Wide
The mirror measures roughly 10" across and is about 1.5" tall. The feet appear to be more of a metal. While the decorative rim appears to be like brass. I have polished the brass and as you can see, it is in good condition. The feet do not polish. The backing and mirror are original. There are stains on the backing and spots in the glass that are difficult to photograph but I feel that photo three shows the worst of it.

The marble is in good condition, no stains. The picture that looks like there is an oval stain is actually the light reflected from the mirror. The right drawer pull is a little loose but attached securely. Not noticable except when you open the drawer. it comes with a Matching carved wood mirror. Mirror has some marks near the top bottom. DESCRIPTION: Gent's Edwardian solid ebony backed hair brush. Measures 5 long. 2.75 inches wide, and stamped'REAL EBONY' to the side. This extremely slow growing hardwood was imported from British India and was a popular vanity set material with both men and women from around the turn of the century to the mid 1920s. When the timber became too rare and expensive to be economically viable. These ebony relics of the period have been highly prized ever since. CONDITION: The ebony is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. It has a very highly polished patina. The bristles are in fine clean condition with no loss or discolouration. First of all the hollow engraved brass handle is so unusual. And then it is etched all around the mirror too. Then the floral needle point? embroidery on gold toned backing. There is a plastic casing over the embroidery. I was told this mirror is dated as far back as the 1800's? But not positive on the actual time.just know it's antique. Then I noticed it opened up and inside I found a clipping in German inside. Looks like it was put there during the War World 2 Era for Winston was mentioned. But I don't speak German. I left it there because it was so neat.
