DESCRIPTION: Edwardian solid ebony wood pin/coin/trinket dish with silver embellishment. Silver has a vacant cartouche surrounded with decorative engravings and is hallmarked London 1925. Maker P+E. Dish measures 1 inch tall, 3 inches in diameter, stamped'EBONY MADE IN ENGLAND' to the base. This extremely slow growing hardwood was imported from British India and was a popular vanity set material with both men and women from around the turn of the century to the mid 1920s. Victorian Sterling Silver Vanity Set Antique 1800s 11 Piece Grooming Set
This is a stunning late 1800's 9 piece Victorian sterling silver vanity grooming set, natural bristle brush. A button hook, a nail file, a cuticle pusher, a pair of cuticle scissors, and the handle for another matching piece. The pair of scissors is marked.925. theirs a mother of pearl They show some slight tarnish dings. And age related wear, but are still in wonderful condition for their age. A ll have the"Sterling" hallmarks on them. It's rare to find a complete matching Victorian vanity set in such terrific condition.

Antique Amethyst Colored Jewelled 4 Pc. Vanity Set Silver Plate E. & J.B. EUC
AMAZING ESTATE SALE FIND: Silver Plate. Lace, and Lavender"Jewels" This is an exquisite antique vanity set consisting of silver plate and glass tray. Brush, comb, and hand mirror. Three of the four pieces are stamped"E and J. B. a company that produced lovely items like this from 1890 until 1930, when the Great Depression forced them out of business. There is no manufacturer's mark on the comb, but it is clearly a part of the same set. The tray measures 21-1/4 inches long by 7 inches wide. The filagree decorations on the tray are not exactly the same as those of the mirror. Comb, brush, but all of the pieces look beautiful together. The tray consists of two pieces of glass and between them is a delicate handmade doily. There is one small break in the bottom piece of glass. In one corner(shown in photo) The doily inside ... moreis slightly discolored along one edge. The glass in the hand mirror is in almost perfect condition; there is only one faintly smudged area. Comb appears to be tortoise-shell and is complete; no missing teeth. It is decorated with two lavender jewels and silver filigree. It is rare to find a set like this with a comb in such perfect condition. Brush is probably made of boar bristle. It too is in excellent condition. And is decorated with many lavender glass stones and silver filigree. There are a few small areas where the silver plate is worn or discolored. Dress or grooming set from the world famous entrepreneur, William Whiteley, the founder of Whiteleys department store. He opened his first store in the fashionable area of Westbourne Grove. London in 1863. By 1890 he employed over 6.000 staff and in 1896‘Whiteleys’ was granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria. Whiteley himself was shot dead at his store in 1907 by a man claiming to be his illegimate son! He left £1.000,000 in his will, which was a vast amount of wealth at the time. Not only is it by William Whiteley, it also has two beautiful pieces of repousse silver, in the form of two brushes, by the renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews. The items that are not of silver are cased or mounted in their own bottle green leather. The set consists of: Two solid sterling silver backed brushes. You are bidding on a very beautiful trinket box. I believe this is a Kalk Porcelain piece from Germany because the Mark on the bottom is baked into the porcelain. Also. The wear is consistent with it being an antique and possibly mid C1900. Kalk is known to be one of the best Porcelain's from Germany. The Lady and Gentleman Courting also seems to represent the mid. 1900's. I purchased this at a Virginia estate auction. Beautiful old 1930's or 1940's look to it. Flowers around a nicely designed border with a nude woman admiring herself in the mirror. Very classic. Elegant look. Not sure of the metal. It appears to have a brass or gold finish treatment. The mirror is 10" tall and it is 9 3/4" across at the widest. The bottom is supported by 2 little feet and there is a fold out support easel in the back. One front foot does have some tarnish(see photos) No spots. Streaks or any damage found to the mirror. Antique, Art Noveau Metal Gold Gild Swivel Vanity Mirror -Bells & Floral Design
An art noveau gold gilded swivel mirror is up for your consideration. This mirror has a gorgeous flowing design not only on the frame around the mirror but on the base as well. There are flowers and bells. It is made of metal. Very heavy and in beautiful condition. The glass mirror does show wear to it around some of the edges, like a worn blackish look. From base to top it measures 18-1/2" tall and the base itself measures 10-1/2" long by 6-1/2" wide. The section holding the swivel mirror is the widest measuring in at 12-3/4" and the glass mirror itself measures roughly 8" by 6" The first picture is closes to the true color and the brighter gold pictures were taken with flash to give you a better idea of the design and texture. Antique Vanity Mirror Cherubs Brass Colored Cast Iron Vintage
Here is an antique oval vanity mirror with an ornate cast iron frame featuring five cherubs. Flowers, and other designs. It measures 11.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high; the bevelled mirror is 6.5 by 5 inches. It is marked"309" on the back, but has no other maker's mark. I think this originally had an easel stand on the back so it could sit on the dresser top. But someone has modified it to hang instead. The front of the frame is painted a brass color(the picture of the whole mirror represents the true color better than the closeups) it has lost minor amounts of paint. The mirror reflects well, but has some scratches and spots.

Up for auction is a beautiful old Japanese round metal jewelry box with a raised 1.000 flowers motif on the lid and dragons around the sides. Interior is lined in a royal purple silk cushion. There is a maker's mark on the bottom. It is in very good condition with some green patina, light soiling, a couple of small crimps to the inner rim of the bottom piece, wear to the finish under the lid. 2 Antique 19thc RARE Daum Cut Glass Gilt Cologne Scent Perfume Vanity Bottles
The photos do not do these bottle justice! RARE 19thc. Daum cut glass cologne scent bottles. They looked like rock crystal. But I believe they are glass. Beautifully cut with patterns at the neck, top mid section with roses and ribbons, and at the base. Gold gilt is painted into the engraving. Both bottoms are in gilt(style of mark dates to 19thc, Daum- the Cross of Lorraine- Nancy. One is slightly taller and thick glass than the other. They measure roughly 10 1/2” including the stopper. Faceted on the neck and body. Photographing these was difficult. They were filled with sugar in order to photograph them without the pattern on the reverse showing through. Condition- Intact. No repairs. Wear to the gilt in the carvings. 1 bottle has a chip on the lip. Both stoppers have cracks in the bases of the stopper. No chips or cracks to the bases. ... moreOverall glass clarity is vg- excellent. there are a few spot in body and at the bottom that I couldn’t clean. My bottle brushes are long enough or thin enough to get in there; in other words. I do not know if the glass is stick in spots. I had a memory than these had an internal crack in the body of 1 of them. I can not find it! You will be purchasing this with the knowledge that there might be a 1/2” internal crack. Pair of Vintage Antique Handpainted Floral Milk Glass Vanity Dresser Powder Jars
These I purchased some time ago from an Estate. I'm in a position now where I must downsize my eclectic collection of antique items. These two items I could probably list separately but I believe they belong together. Both are Vintage(1920's-30's) Powder Jars which ladies placed on their Vanity Table. They are Milk Glass with a floral hand painted design around each jar. The lids are metal and they screw on the jars. They too are painted. The jars measure 3" high by 3 1/2" in diameter. The Milk Glass is thick and heavy with no flaws(no chips or cracks) The paint on the jars has quite a bit of wear which is seen in my pictures. The paint wear on the lids is very minimal. This type of art is pretty much obsolete. I believe someone will appreciate them as interesting and pretty antique collectibles.

Val St. Lambert Antique 6 Piece Vanity Set. Perfumes, Dresser jars.
A beautiful antique vanity set made by Val St. Lambert of Belgium. Six pieces- 3 different sizes of perfumes and 3 different sizes of covered jars. The perfumes are: 4 1/2" 5 3/4" and 6 1/4" The jars are: 3 1/2" 4 3/4" and the round one is 3" in diameter x 1 3/4" tall. The jars all have a rayed base, as shown. They are molded glass with a diamond shaped pattern between the blue panels and the clear panels below. They are in very, very good condition, especially considering their age. The large perfume has 2 matching lines on the neck of the bottle. As a glass collector and antiques dealer, there is no question in my mind that these were done during the manufacture of the bottle; they are not cracks and do not go through to the other side. I have done some research on them and come up with the fact that they ... morewere also made in amber. Which I have seen, but never have found them in blue. I have seen them dated from pre-1900 to 1920. My understanding is that they are older- before Val St. Lambert started making acid-etched, which was c. 1900. This is a large and beautiful tray looking like new. The piece is marked J.P.L. FRANCE(JEAN POUYAT, LIMOGES FRANCE. Ca. 1890-1932) The plate is hand painted and signed and dated on the back(1896) The piece is decorated with pink roses on a light green background. The scalloped border is heavily gilded with a brushed technique. The bottom is unglazed. As usually done with trays, to avoid slipping. Here is a beautiful antique 1920's French Petit Point flower display encased in a glass and brass handled vanity or accent tray. Petit Point is the most skilled form of needlepoint there is to do.
