Description: More from our recent acquisition of exquisite art glass this is a very rare antique Northwood Tree Trunk pattern vase. While it is a more common standard size the color known as renninger blue has a deep almost cobalt color with the scattered hobs and lines to give this iridescent piece the look of a tree trunk. The top as shown is flared and ruffled with an almost mirror finish. It stands 10 1/2" at its tallest. 4 1/2" across the widest part of the mouth, and 3 1/2" across the base. The vase is in very good condition with a couple of straw marks and bubble pops common during the production of these pieces. A fresh estate find! Antique Composition Bride Doll Shirley Temple Unmarked & Trunk 1930s 19" TLC
EARLY COMPOSITION SHIRLEY TEMPLE? This Composition doll looks like Shirley Temple and was probably made in the 1930s. The only thing missing to make her look just like Shirley Temple is the dimple. She has these spots all over her. I believe they wash off but I will leave this tomher new owner. She does have a few cracks, chipped fingers. Her head is loose. She has a mohair wig with tin decal sleep eyes that are blue. She has all her lashes and a open mouth but the teeth either are pushed up or missing. She was found in a wedding dress w/veil, even wearing her bra and panties and has other clothes, all unmarked and have an attic smell, and have tears- They are old and have been stored for many years. Genuine Antique Flat Top Steamer / Travel Trunk 2 Trays Storage Chest
Free local pick-up only. From a local M id S outh E state. this Antique Flat Top Steamer/ Travel TRUNK made between 1880 and 1920. After 1920. As trunks became mass-produced they were labeled with the"makers mark" Measures 36" length x 24 1/2" height x 21" width. This is a solid piece; all metal strapping, corner bindings& hardware is intact. The wood parts of the trunks structure are time worn but intact as well. The YALE lock is intact but there is no key. The two leather side carry straps have long since torn away- easy to replace with an old leather belt. Seldom found are the 2 interior trays that appear to be original to this piece. The top tray(photos#8& 9) has finger-hole lifts at each end; measures 33 1/2 length x 18" width x 4" depth. The tray flap-over lid is secured via 3 hinges on one ... moreside. The other would have been secured via the leather snap straps but again the leather has deteriorated away. The 2nd tray(photo#10) has what appears to be some sort of textile handle-straps to lift it out with; measures 35" length x 13 3/4" width x 7 1/2" deep. The interior of the trunk measures 19 1/2" overall depth. Understand that this truck is close to 100 years old and therefore smells old as well. Both the interior and the exterior of this trunk are genuinely time worn. A beautiful old aged piece as is or restore and make it your own. Made of bent wood and in excellent condition. The key plate appears to be brass. Overall very good condition for its age. LET'S ALL HAVE SOME FUN HERE: I have this OLD CHEST that's been sitting in my barn for 20 years that I know of and probably WAY BEFORE I bought this old farm. My wife likes new things so I'll get rid of this and someone out there in E-Bay Land can take this home. This chest is actually in quite nice shape all in all. The wood is still quite nice and not rotted etc. It's a BIG CHEST at 37 inches wide. 22 inches front to back and 27 inches tall. The LEATHER handles are VERY SOLID and still have the mfg. numbers that are very readable. All four casters are on this chest. The(what I call) cigar box is all here too. The last 4 pictures are the bad parts of this. The back side plate of the lock is missing, the inside thin paper type paneling is coming off, the bottom has some(not much) rust. Made in Holland Hand carved Circa 1900 Unique design Bun feet Locking drawers and cabinet Excellent condition, Hand carved out of solid oak. This antique coffer is quite attractive. It was made in Holland around 1900. It is different from most coffers in that the top does not open. Instead it has two small drawers and two cabinet doors that open on the front to give access to the storage space within. This is very unique and interesting! The hand carvings that adorn the entire front of the coffer are intricate and lovely. The four main panels appear ... moreto be birds and all the surroundings are carvings of flora. A nice smooth bottom moulding. Simple top, and traditional Dutch bun feet help to balance this carving. The smoother accents keep the coffer from looking gaudy. As previously mentioned the storage of this coffer is divided up amount two small drawers and a cabinet section. The two drawers and cabinet doors all lock. The inside is all lined with a green paper that could be removed. The cabinet section contains one shelf which will help keep whatever you store inside organized. This is great for someone who has many smaller items they wish to store. This antique coffer is in excellent condition and ready to go directly into your home. There is a small repair to the center moulding where the cabinet doors meet and there are a few wear marks throughout as you would expect from an antique of this age. Antique Curved Alligator Like Hammered Tin Top Saratoga Trunk Offering you beautiful curved Dome top trunk. This trunk once was quite an expensive beauty. The curved top. Plentiful nails and amazing-fine hardware makes this a high-end piece, often known as a Saratoga Trunk. The reason for the curved top is to ensure that this trunk would go on the top of the stack. Rather than having trunks stacked on top of it, damaging the contents. I have not altered or refinished this trunk. I purchased it from a lady who stated it was in the stable area of her very old, victorian home. The home was built in the early 1900's. INSIDE: I believe it is constructed of Pine with a floral paper design. Which means this trunk belonged to a Woman. OUTSIDE: Has a dark metal/tin tone. 4) wooden, Elm? vertical slats on the dome top, 2) horizontal wooden slats ... moreon the front& back, 1) wooden slat on each side. There is a 16" wide Alligator Leather look design area on the top that extends down the front and back and along both sides that is divided by leather slats. I was told this design area is an ornate hammered tin. The metal work is very nice and when this trunk was new, must have been gorgeous. There are(8) metal shield type designs holding down the top wood slats. On the top side ends, there are large metal Crown like designs. There are(2) brown leather handles. 1 handle is torn but repairable. This trunk was definitely for a woman of importance. Approximate Dimensions: 22" High@ the highest-middle 32.5" Wide 17.5" Deep Condition: This trunk is in good antique condition. There is normal wear. Which is expected, due to it's age. The bottom inside does have a few minor cracking in the wood. There is not a lock on the trunk. All the nails& design hardware are there, as far as I can see. Antique Steamer Trunk 1900-1950, Eagle lock no. 410
This trunk is unique from other Steamer Trunks of the era. At some point 1 inch caster wheels were added for ease of transporting 3 are steel wheels, 1 is wood. The covered insert tray is still with the trunk as well. It has some flaws, but who would not at its age. The lock is manufactured by the Eagle Lock co of Terryville, Conn. U.S.A. no. 410. That is printing in the lid saying water proof, and a note written in pencil on the back top of the storage tray not to sell this trunk. It is a very nice piece. With the wheels it might even make a great coffee table. The size is 34" L x 21w x 24 3/4h with the wheels. Questions please contact us.

Eventually the company was sold to people who lack knowledge about the lock business and proceeded to make many bad decisions. Barely holding on in the early 70's another individual bought the company from Penn-Akron Corp. Which had gone bankrupt. But by 1974 it was out of business after losing a bid to the Lori Corporation for a large order for cylinders for the U.S. Postal Service. Trunk-n-Treasure Beautiful Refinished Flat Top Steamer Antique Trunk W/lock, Key
Beautiful Refinished Antique Flat Top Trunk with original Working Lock. Original key, and straps. Here at Trunks-n-treasures we take pride in the trunks that we have refinished for the past 8 years. We have refinished hundreds of trunks, each one with the craftsmanship that we have learned from growing up around our grandparents watching them run and refinish furniture in their antique shop. This particular trunk is a very nice, clean refinished flat top steamer trunk from the late 1800's. To begin refinishing this particular trunk we took all the paper off from the inside. We then removed the canvas from between the slat boards to expose the wood underneath. This gorgeous trunk is made up of pine wood with oak slats. Once we removed the canvas we sanded all the wood and then applied tung oil as a finish. After much research we have found ... morethat by using tung oil, not only does it not leave such a strong odor as other finishes, but it also penetrates the wood preventing the wood from drying out so quickly. On this trunk are two new Amish leather handles and two new latches to keep the lid secure. Also on the lid of this trunk you will find the original trunk stay. This trunk also has the original working lock with the original key. Due to the age of the trunk, having both lock and key is a rarity. The fancy metal hardware on this trunk has also been repainted by hand in black and gold leaf. This trunk also has new leather straps to help keep the lid fastened and to bring back the originality of the trunk. Many trunks this age had straps such as those that we replaced to help keep items secured when traveling. As in any trunk of this age there are a few signs of wear but that is to be expected. The interior of the trunk is very clean. Dropping down to the bottom of the trunk we have also applied tung oil to the bottom to give it a new refinished look and repainted the metal black. Antique Toleware Domed-Top Trunk. Circa 1850-60. Transparent Blue Asphaltum Background. Trunk shows some wear- the stenciling is still visible and recordable if you wish to reproduce it on another box. It measures 9 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 6 3/8" H. Yellow stripes on top and ends. There are no dents. This is typical of the tin produced and decorated in the Berlin. CT. tin shops around 1850-60.

Antique Trunk 30.5" x 22" x 17.5" (Needs Restoration)
This trunk has been on many journeys. It has lost a wheel. Its leather strap handles, even its keys- but it hasn't lost its appeal! I searched for a maker's mark. On the left metal closure. There is engraving that is still partially there: Co, New York" The name of the company is worn away. The trunk appears to be made of wood with a metal overlay and a paper lining. The metal is worn, but still has traces of a beautiful design in black and red. The lining is like wallpaper, and crumbly in areas, yellowed, and water stained in some. The hinge of the right lock would not move easily, and I did not force it- no doubt a little oil will assist with that problem- it does not appear broken, just stuck. The hinges for the lid on the back appear to be in tact.

CIVIL WAR REENACTOR ANTIQUE VINTAGE ROUGH HEWN PLANK BOX TRUNK STORAGE
USEFUL. OLD, HANDMADE WOODEN BOX I purchased this on a back country farm in rural Virginia about 40 years ago. It's a simple construction. Wood planks make up each side and the lid which is held on by two metal hinges. I'm sure it was old when I bought it. Over the years it's been used as a coffee table. As I had a glass piece made to fit it, and later, simply storage for my Civil War reenacting. It has been well-cared for and kept in a dry environment. Would look perfect on a camp street, keep a blanket inside, etc. I'm guessing rough cut 3/4" pine boards- really doesn't have much of a fragrance at this point. It's heavy. Antique Early Dark Domed Top Oak Immigrant Wooden Trunk Rare C 1820 Iron Straped
Up for offer we have an early antique domed top wooden immigrant trunk. The trunk measures 49" long by 26" wide and is 28" tall. While woods are not my forte` we have a consensus that this is red oak. Weighs a ton solid in construction and has aged nicely. Dates 1800-1820 possibly earlier. Came out of PA estate. All Original hardware with the exception of the is intact with the exception of a decorative plate above the lock front. You have to examine closely to see, appears a decorative element as the original lock is there no key though. There is some minor loss to some of the decorative hardware edges top and such please refer to photos. The wrought iron handles are there and solid to lift. The piece must have stood on a wall as the back is considerably darker(dirty) than the rest. This is a hide-covered stagecoach trunk believed to have come from Ellis Island. It is VERY unique and a rarity! The hide covering is thought to be cowhide. Although the hair length seems longer. Italian Renaissance Cassone or Late 1700's Antique Dowry Chest or Trunk. An Italian"Cassone" is a traditional dowry chest or trunk in Renaissance design. Descending with the daughters of a prosperous family. This example from about 1775 is solid walnut with an excellent finish and warm antique patina. There are shrinkage separations and mars for antique character. A bride's dowry including linens and silver would have been kept in this prized heirloom possession. The top originally lifted. This furniture from northern Italy has been altered to allow the the locking front panel to open instead, so things could be set on top, useful as a wide screen TV console. Inlaid burl and banding are beautiful. Hand carved detailing is exceptional. Original wrought iron hinges for the top are visible inside. ANTIQUE 1800's All Original Dome Trunk Tin embossed metal throughout 26 inches wide Nice oldie and all original not refinished. Great for age without dents on dome or throughout tin metal some normal wear but very good. Original rusty patina. Missing handle. Inside is solid.
