The measurements are 30"x 18"x 8 1/2" When in the table the height is 20 1/2" Please look at the pics carefully They are the best description of condition. The brass has dark patina and the canvas shows some surface marks normal wear as expected for a piece this age. The inside is cloth lined and has several stains but no rips or tears. Key is missing and no luggage tag.Glass top is included. I have a picture with vintage stickers under the glass to show one way you can display this beautiful vintage piece. These are authentic open barrel skeleton keys that I personally purchased in Poland. There are 6 of them ranging in size from 1 to 3 inches in height. A couple of them have pretty good rust on them. Here is a newer type of trunk liner paper. This is a classic pattern that we have used during our restorations. A prepasted paper. One double roll measures 20 1/2" wide and is 33' long. This lot is for two new rolls and one open roll with at least 10' remaining. This is more than enough liner paper to finish 2 average size trunks and one insert. Suggestion: We always use wallpaper paste during installation to insure adhesion.

This is really an amazing old wagon box-trunk. Circa mid 1800s built. Wood Dowel-Dovetail-Square Nail Construction with iron bands. Original rope handles. Skeleton key lock(NO KEY) Measures 30' Long x 14' Wide x 10' Deep. Condition: There is 2 areas were metal banding is missing as pictured in the front of the box. There is a piece missing at outer edge bottom board( see boxes bottom picture) so the bottom boards are a little loose but held in place by the metal banding. It was actually used on a stage coach and in very good condition for its age. Shabby chic rustic and rugged. Made of solid wood and sturdy. On the outside there is a little paint loss on it due to its age. Mostly on the back of the trunk on the bottom. The outside was probably refinished at one point. It was hand or CUSTOM made. Very heavy well made chest. It is solid with no damage to it or its 2 drawers. The drawers are 14 3/4 inches in depth x 20 inches long x 2" wide. In good solid condition. None of the wood shows any sign of damage. Warping or shrinkage. Both drawers open and close easily. ... moreTwo metal knobs are present on each drawer to open them. The previous owner told us that it was checked by an expert and was made sometime during the 1840's and except for one handle on the top. Everything else is original. It looks like it may have been used as a gun/pistol box or a storage box for guns. Its bottom drawer is QUITE UNIQUE. The drawer has seven raised wooden compartments in the color blue. That color blue was not be the original color. TWO of those compartments were designed specifically to fit pistols. The other compartments perhaps to hold ammo and anything else related to pistols or guns. The trunk/chest by design does not have any side handles. Four strips of embossed metal adore its domed top. When you open the trunk/chest it will not remain open unless you put something underneath the top to prevent it from closing. Underneath the lid of the trunk there is a secret compartment. The interior is in very good condition. The inside of the trunk is all natural wood. Very clean with no odors. Vintage Antique Trunk *You Grade*
Up for grabs is an old vintage/antique trunk. I don't know too much about the trunk other than its been in storage in a basement for years. There are obvious signs of age and wear and tear. One of the metal fasteners on the side is cracked down the middle. The trunk itself and the cloth inside would need a good cleaning. I'm leaving the trunk exactly as is and I'm not attempting to clean it. I'll leave that for the professionals! The trunk measures 29.5' across 11' deep 19' wide. There are no markings that I can see to distinguish the brand. On one of the sides there is a faded tag that may give some clue to the history but I can't make out what it says. The latches and hinges are in good working condition. The lock faceplate is complete. But the lock itself is not. The leather handles may not be original, and one is shorter than the other. Antique SCHUNEMAN & EVANS steamer trunk-St Paul, MN- early 1900's-by Indestructo
I am offering this antique steamer trunk from Schuneman& Evans in St. Paul Minnesota. This trunk was owned by a wealthy Minneapolis couple and was shipped over to Europe for a vacation in the early 1900s and was shipped back to the US from Europe after the vacation with a trunk full of expensive. European clothes. I am listing some of the clothes found in the trunk as well) The trunk was made by Indestructo in Indiana and there is a serial number found on the metal tag on the trunk, which was used to track down the owner in the case of loss. The trunk is in very nice condition for it's age. There are four hinges on the back side of the trunk and all are intact and working. The" clasps" used to close the trunk fasten well. There is another mechanism between the clasps and I'm not sure what it is and have not tried to ... morefasten it into place. The leather handle on the top of the trunk is broken as shown in the photo. There are appropriate scuffs and scratches on the surface of the trunk as one would expect from a trunk that is from this era. Inside is the half of the trunk that was used to hang clothes. This side has a cover as shown. the other side is drawers used to store smaller items. Some of the pulls are missing as shown. There is a separate compartment with a purple silk( I think) covered holder for one's favorite hat and this is in excellent condition( Please see photos) The drawers have a white powder in the bottom. I'm not sure if this powder was put there as a talcum powder or if the surface of the drawer has deteriorated so just a heads up on that. The trunk is 23.5 inches wide and 15.5-16 inches deep. This is a VERY hard to find wooden chest from WWII. Used to store ordinance, and from my research, could have either been a training set with"dummy" bombs and materials, or the real thing. I found this online: The box was a specially designed carrier for what was considered the essential tools and materials for an engineer squad to operate, whether in combat or not. It housed compartments made to hold all of the tools in a uniform way which, when opened, one familiar with the layout, could spot a missing item instantly. It has several compartments inside, a metal edging, heavy duty carry handles, 3 hinges and 3 clasps on front, which work well. Still has its original stenciling- US CHEST. DEMOLITIONS SQUAD. The finish looks like a brushed on turquoise stain, giving it a great shabby chic look. Inside it was painted light yellow, ... moreand there are remnants of baby wallpaper from the 50s. Removable linen shelf in great condition as is the gathered material on top to hold extra items. Entire inside is SUPER clean with no stains at all. I believe it is a textured leather with pusted leather strap on one side. And leather handle and edges show wear. Piece measures 32" in length. 18 side and 10" tall when set flat. Eagle Lock with NO KEY, and two fasteners on either side of lock. Outside has a few mars. But no major rips or tears. Wonderful and decorative piece.
