You are bidding to purchase an amazing primitive antique steamer trunk that is unmarked. But reminds me of the Louis Vuitton ones. And covered with a textured substance that reminds me of leather. But I’m not sure that’s what it is. I appreciate any information you can provide about this well-traveled piece of history. It is wooden and has rounded corners and measures approximately 33 x 21 x 13 inches and has leather strap handles on the ends for easy carrying. One end of the strap is secured to the trunk and the other end will slide back and forth to a metal stop so that the leather handle will lay flat when not in use and pulls out for a comfortable grip when moving it. This case features a rounded wooden trim with metal(possibly brass) guards on the corners. It has 3 metal hinges to hold the lid in place and a metal trim band around the ... morelid and along the front side corners. There are several labels or stickers on this case. Some of them read: On the right end: HAMBURG-AMEWRIKA LINIE D. This is a sweet little Antique Victorian Doll Trunk or Miniature Salesman Sample Trunk. It is constructed of wood and has a slight domed lid. The inside tray lifts out. It looks to have been originally covered in a stenciled wallpaper but that is mostly missing from the outside. It still remains on the inside of the lid which also has a picture of a Victorian girl. There is a small amount left in other areas. The trunk measures 12" x 7 1/2" x 7" The lid has a crack across it which is shown in photos. Lid is also washed in a deep red. The side handles are missing. Very sweet little primitive trunk! Perfect doll trunk. Perfect little treasure chest. Perfect primitive piece to add to your décor.

This is very old. So it has nicks, scratches and a few cracks which add character to the piece. The interior was recently lined in burgundy colored velvet. Antique Trunk / Chest 1885 (Refinished, GORGEOUS!)
Antique trunk found in horrible condition so I decided to refinish her. She was covered in moldy. Torn paper, metal was destroyed, leather hard and cracking, broken and missing hinges, broken, missing and sharp edged straps. I completely refinished the. Stained and polyed. New hardware. Hinges, and stop chain, she's line halfway on the inside to cover a stain that would not come out of the wood. The metal was treated. Brushed, and since it was oxidized and looked terrible I gave her a coat of flat black rustoleom metal finish. Also vigorously conditioned the leather straps to save them and they came out beautiful. Great condition for being 127 years old and having been through a fire in the previous family's home. She would be great as a table or decor piece. The top is only slightly camel backed. Here is a beautiful rare trunk/chest it has two metals handles at either side which is unusual. It comes with it's original key and the lock works very well. This is a very old trunk lined with either Japanese or Chinese old newspapers( any help or information on the newspaper inside and what it says would be appreciated) then there is a hessian lining on top of that. The interior is lined with what looks like pine. It has oak banding and nice ornate brass catches. The lock is very nice and unusual as you can see in the photo it is very ornate and is a double lock. The exterior is lined with some sort of metal overall is in very good condition for its age. This is a beautiful piece of furniture for any home perfect for a coffee table or secure storage box because it has the key. VTG Antique Old FANCY Cast Metal Chest Steamer Trunk Lock Latch Hardware Parts
This is a really neat heavy cast metal lock/latch which I believe came off a very old steamer trunk of sorts. It's in good used vintage condition with some surface wear and tarnish and I believe a tiny crack by the bottom bolt that you can't see from the front and doesn't seem to affect its use whatsoever.please view pictures for any further description/condition. It measures just under 5 5/8" tall x 3" wide in the locked latched position. Don't forget to take a look at all my other unique vintage hardware I have listed as well. Offered for sale is an Antique vintage small trunk covered in leather accented with brass studs. The wood looks very dark and appears to be mahogany. But I'm not sure. The box measures 12.5" long x 7' wide x 4' high. Has one compartment. The outside of the box shows some age appropriate wear, the photos greatly magnify the surface wear, in person the box wears the patina of age gracefully, and presents very well. Nice to find a true gentleman's box, most are the much smaller stud boxes, but this is a really useful size for emptying pockets of keys, change and pens etc, it would make a great gift. Antique Scandinavian Rosemaling Hand Painted Large Sized Legged Chest/Trunk
Up for sale is a beautiful large sized Scandinavian hand painted rosemaling chest that I had sent over by container to the States. I am not sure about the year of this chest but it has a lot of patina and is one of a kind. This chest measures 32" tall. 49" long and 26" deep. There is one wooden bar inside the side of the chest to hold the top open with four small legs each measuring 2" tall.The outside is painted in a maroon color with floral designs in blues and greens. The backside of the trunk is painted in a light blue color as shown in the picture. This would be a lovely storage chest for blankets or clothing. There is definite wear on the outside and inside of this chest that I think only adds to its great patina. I will be happy to ship this chest if need be and will research the best rates. Fantastic Large Antique Black Steamer Trunk Chest
Nice. Heavy black/very dark brown antique steamer trunk. The front lock and both side latches are present. Often the front center mechanisms are missing. Gorgeous metal accents and rivet work. Much of the leather strapping has rotted away which is very normal for these trunks that did most of their travel in the damp bottoms of large ships. The initials JEM has been placed on the side. There is a small dent on the top and water damage to the lining only on the inside as you can see in the photos. PERFECT for an end or coffee table with the flat top, as a restoration project or a blanket chest. Measures 24.5" High, 38" Wide and 22" Deep.

Antique Wardrobe Style Travel Trunk w/ Customs Sticker Possibly Hartmann?
This is a very clean trunk. The inner cover has a rip in it and I don't have the key. But the case is sturdy and the interior clean. The handles show some wear too. No odors or stains. There is a customs sticker from the US on the outside, but I couldn't read a date. This looks exactly like the Hartmann, but has no tag. The only name I found was the Eagle Lock Co and the latches. Here is an old one for you. Measures approx. 30x16x14. Wood is white oak with steel banding. Pix 5.6,8& 9 are the inside. It has 2 large drying cracks in the top which add lots of character. Antique Leather Chest Steamer Trunk Brass Studded Travel Steampunk Upright Early
Up for bid is an old steamer trunk. Black with blue interior. Brass trim. 32x9x19 inches. This trunk is still very solid but cosmetically rough. Has stains, some rust on the brass, the leather handle looks to have dry rot or very heavy shedding. I took plenty of pictures to show condition, all sales are final.

Antique silver tin metal over wood steamer trunk early 1900's unique Rare 1930's
For your consideration is an antique steamer trunk. Dates to approximately 1932. There are stickers on the trunk. Which I did not remove. This is a large trunk, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. I was told that this trunk went from Germany to England and to Scotland and then to the United States. Measures 40" wide, 21" wide and 21" deep. This trunk does show wear, but adds to the history. There is some damage to the inside and made some holes on the underside. This does not effect the look, but would not make a good shipping trunk anymore. RARE Early Primitive Antique Colonial Camphor Chest Voyage Trunk Original Brass
This auction is for a Primitive Camphor Voyage Chest. The chest is made from the aromatic Camphor wood. The chests were used for travel and safe keeping of personal items. The aromatic wood therefore served as a natural pest repellent. I have been unable to determine the precise age of this chest however it is believed to be a very early primitive example from the mid to late 1800's. The craftsmanship is amazing, there is dovetailing at each corner joint and the original brass slats are still fully intact. The lock mechanism is also fully intact but missing the original key. The exterior has seen some age and wear, but the integrity of the box has not been compromised, it is sturdy and will continue to withstand the test of time.
