With only 11.000 made, this rare 1940 Philco Transistone model PT-69 features a stunning book-matched walnut cabinet, fully functional& self starting Sessions clock, maple inlay, bullet’ style knobs, and excellent performance on the AM broadcast band. Cabinet: The walnut cabinet is simply stunning. Virtually flawless. Gorgeous. Matched slanted grain flows throughout the front of the cabinet complimented by a maple inlay at the top. The cabinet’s unique shaped design resembles a cross between a tombstone and cathedral which accommodates for the fully functional Sessions clock located at the top. We then sand the cabinet with fine grit pads down to the original bare wood. All nicks, chips, and blemishes are filled and/or blended. Any loose veneer is re-secured. We use a nitrocellulose piano type lacquer which is applied through a professional HVLP turbine spray system in a climate controlled room. Nitrocellulose lacquer is very thin. Vintage Antique Old Wood Table Top Tube Radio Small Rare Detrola Mdl 3202
This is an excellent example of the 1939 Detrola table Top Radio Model 3202 made in Detroit. MI. The beautiful cabinet still retains its original finish with just a few minor marks here and there. This model features the carrying handle, push buttons for quick station selection(would need to be set or adjusted in the rear of radio for specific stations for each button) or you can simply push the far right button in and use the tuning knob for tuning in or surfing your local broadcast area. Also this radio has a built in"loop antenna" so you will not need to attach extra leads for the BC or am radio reception. The radio has its original bakelite knobs, dial lens cover, push buttons, and AC power cord. The filter caps have been changed and an alignment completed for peak performance. I did change the grill cloth, dial lamp, dial cord, ... moreand added a back to keep out any little hands that may want to reach in there. I seen this model at radiomuseum.com. Looks like it was made made 1941-1942 sold originally around $39. It is missing two front knobs. One wood panel is broken I took a pic for you to see. This is all original. It has not been restored at all. It has scratches on the wood. The back panel is missing but looks like all the tubes and parts are still there. I did not plug it in to test. I read that old vintage equipment should be powered up 1 amp at a time I guess to not blow a tube or motor and we can't do that here. This is as is so any questions please ask before you bid. Beautiful Antique C19th Chinese Lacquered Gilt Chinoiserie Table Box 7 Drawers
A rather stunning early 19th century table box in the fashionable chinoiserie style. The box is made of hardwood and comprises a detachable front panel which incorporates its original 19th century chinese brass lever lock. The panel is lacquered and gilt painted with figures in a garden setting interspersed with buildings. The detachable panel encloses an arrangement of seven drawers and an open recess. Each drawer with its own brass pendant handle in the chinese style and the bottom drawer with a secret escutcheon and lock. To the sides the box has a rich patina and two brass carry handles with handle rests beneath. The corners are bound with brass braces. Measures 50cm wide by 53 cm tall. One thought was to remove the lock in hopes of finding the maker, but we did not, as we did not want to perhaps damage the screw heads. There are slight marks to the lower right of the Inlaid star on the top. There are two holes with brass cylinders on the front(top) edge.not sure what they are for.no accessory hardware for them either. The star(top) is composed of 16 individual inlaid pieces in the veneer. The wood is unknow to us, if we(I) had to guess I would say walnut, with maple or ash pinstripping forming the boarders on the top and side edges. The bottom is cover in green felt(no picture) somewhat worn, but not ripped, just some rolled edges(comprised of three pieces of felt) one having the number 033 marked on it. This item came with an auctioneer tag from Gaston& Sheehan Auctioneers Inc. in Pflugerville, Tx. with alot number of 680 on the tag. We called them, but without more information, relative to the piece it was impossible to search just the lot number 680. Japan and brought to Canada to be a part of the Museum of gears project. This is a scarce example of a beautiful machinery that was made in early 1900's, a rolling mill made in Japan by Yoshida& Co. The company still exists but it operates under different management. I've contacted the company and had a chance to talk with a sales manager Lisa Tajima who said that the company was founded in 1914 and this is likely the very first manual rolling mill they ever made. Unfortunately there were no documentation or any photographs survived through the years of company's development and changing times of the World War. The only thing I know for sure is that this is a rare ... moretool and even the company that manufactured it does not have such an example. One of the older workers of this company mentioned that this rolling mill is supposed to have an"L" shaped crank or a handle. I do not have a crank since the model has been discovered without it, but I do not think that it would be hard to find a similar handle. This tool is in"as found" condition. It hasn't been cleaned or restored, which is probably perfect for any collection. There are no cracks but there are some paint chips on the surface, which in my opinion only add a character to the object. This rolling mill appears to be functional. I've tried to move gears and twist the rollers in both directions. The top pinion could be lowered up and down with the top crank. I am amazed by the amount of exposed gears in this machine! Some of the gears look a little bit yellow but it is because of the machine grease the remains of which are still present on the surface. For sale is a very sharp looking antique oak dinner table. My guess is that its around 100 years old. But still in nice shape. If I were to grade the condition I would give it a B. No major damage but it is nicked up here and there and the leaf inserts should be refinished. Priced to sell with the condition its in for sure. It wouldn't take much to bring this table back up to top quality and that's not even nec. as its very nice and fully functional as is. Solid Oak, nice Queen Anne legs, very sturdy and pretty. It measures 30" high. 17" wide and 24.5" deep. Paint is a burnt orange or brownish/orange color. Great paneled sides. Both of which are different from each other. Drawers are slightly different sizes. Top back board of the top is a little more raised than the rest. Shows much age and wear and imperfections. Lots of paint spatters and crackle. The finish has a wrinkled texture. The inside of the drawer is dark. It comes with both rails and mounting screws. One rail has a piece missing from its end. But it does not affect functionality. Antique 50s Zenith Table Top Vacuum Tube Radio / Working / AM/FM / Dry Inner
Thank you for stopping by my store, I Offer An Antique Zenith Y723 Table Top Vacuum Tube Radio- It is marked Model Y 723 on the bottom. I believe mid 50s vintage. The shell looks to be free of cracks. As far as I can tell. You will see a scratch mark on the right/rear. As seen in my pics. The inside would indicate it was in dry storage. I did not pull all of the tubes out. And one has a metal cover, but from what I did see, they were all Zenith marked tubes. I don't see any moisture issues. Overall. The inside looks clean and complete. It has been warmed up on a variac for 24 hours and both AM and FM are working. Afterwards. I ran it non-stop for 3 days. The 3 controls on the face function fine The dial will slip at a few spots until it is used a bit. Easy fix there. Just clean the pulley area and wipe the dial string clean. We have a ... moreworking radio. For now. It not only sounds good, but a good AM DX-er* That being said. it may work, as is, for a long time, or it may fail in a day. I can not offer any guarantee but it is old and has been sitting. You tube audio guys understand. You may only use it for parts. Or as a base for a restoration The back looks to be fine and the four mounting pegs are all there. The three knobs on the front are a mis-match. But the detente action on fm/am is good. The detente and sweep on the on/off/volume is smooth and strong. And the dial will sweep smoothly, side to side, with slight slippage in one direction. After a few tries it got much better. So cleaning it will help. Knobs gotta go, for the"keeper or collector" Well. You can listen to it while you hunt for proper knobs! I do not smell any signs of electrical issues. The plastic shell on top has some spotting o it and will need some sort of polishing. Sides and bottom are pretty good and. This is a hand-crocheted lace tablecloth measuring 46" X 54" it has a pattern I haven't seen before of 4 petaled flowers connecting squares.and when viewed overall leaves a pattern of open holes. they are perfect for threading onto a small rod or length of ribbon to make a lace door cover or window cover) I find no breaks or loose threads- there is one spot of yellowing which yu can see in the last picture and I'm sure this will soak out. It is made of a white heavy cotton crochet thread. It needs to be gently soaked and reblocked to shape. The owner tells me it has been stored for years in a large plastic tub with the other lace tablecloths I'm listing for her today. This one would be perfect for that small hallway table or bedside table- would also serve very well as a window covering.
