Antique Duncan Phyfe Sofa 1940s Original Owner Excellent Condition
This is a Duncan Phyfe sofa from the 1940s which has been in my family since that time. I have owned it for over 35 years(my grandmother had it before then) I have had it reupholstered twice during that time. It is in excellent condition. The current upholstery is a Robert Allen chenille fabric in a beige/taupe pattern that mixes and matches with everything from traditional prints and stripes to contemporary decor. I've used it in all of these settings. The upholstery is in excellent condition- no rips. Tears, stains, or odors- foam was all replaced and the sofa has been barely used. Any shading of the fabric seen on the photos is the result of the nap of the fabric, which, when rubbed in one direction will look slightly different. The wood trim is in good condition- probably has some minor scuffs. But nothing so noticeable that it would ... moredetract from the look or use of the sofa. Wood legs are solid. One leg was broken off in the reupholstery process but was professionally repaired. The sofa is solid and sturdy, and quite comfortable for naps! The sofa measures 80" in length; is 33" wide. Height to the top of the back is 32" height to the top of the arm is 26" I love that this sofa is much smaller than today's sofa monsters. It's difficult to find a smaller profile in sofas today. I am offering this sofa at a very reasonable price in the hopes it will find another great home that will love it and care for it as much as our family has. These legs came off an antique camel back brocade sofa from the 1930's(or earlier) that I purchased at estate auction yrs ago. It was a very well constructed piece of furniture with hand tied springs. A heavy hard wood frame, and horse hair for the first layer of padding. When I retired it for good. I salvaged these front legs. The back"legs" were actually part of the frame itself, or else I would have saved them as well. They have the original finish on them except for where I used a little denatured alcohol to help identify the wood. I am not positive. But my best guess is that they are mahogany or maybe cherry. They are NOT identical! That was never noticeable when they were on my couch- only when I put them side by side to measure. Upon doing my research. I found out that this style of carving is very complex and can only ... morebe done with one solid piece of wood so it's actually not unusual for them not to be exact duplicates. Original four factory wood screws included- they are flat(square) head- another clue that they are old. Cross head screws weren't used until the later 1930's and after. Measurements: Right leg: 3.5" all 4 sides at the top where it fastens. 6" high. 2.25" across; 2" front to back at the bottom where it rests on the floor(foot pad) Left leg: 3 sides at 3.5" and the back side is 3" across at the top. 6" high. 2 1/16" across; 2" front to back at the bottom(foot pad) You can't go to Lowes and buy these!

Antique Queen Anne Style Mahogany Settee Sofa & Two Matching Chairs
This beautiful high quality mahogany matching set of settee and chairs possibly dates back to the turn of the century or earlier. They are in excellent condition with only a few minor scratches. There is only one metal screw showing- at the underside of the armless chair. All other connections have plugs. They are 40" tall, 22" wide, seats are 17" deep, the backs are 14" wide and the settee is 41" wide. As you can see there is extensive carving of acanthus leaves and clamshell designs with openwork throughout. The design in the lower part of the settee is the same as that of the middle part support of the arms of both the settee and chair. A stunning French antique Louis XV style hand carved& upholstered settee circa 1890. The frame is solid French walnut and was made over a century ago when this furniture was eagerly sought after by the finest homes in America. It is approximately 42 inches high. 26 inches deep, and 55 inches wide, and is in excellent overall condition. It still has the original cut mohair upholstery and will need to be redone. I will give the frame a professional dusting and a coat of paste wax and it will be ready to enjoy for another 100 years. All you need to do is choose and buy your fabric and take it to your local upholsterer for recovering. Antique Edwardian Ebonized Sofa
This is a statement piece sofa for your waiting room. Retail shop, office, or living room. It is ebonized mahogany wood. The frame is extremely solid and weighty. New springs and upholstery were added 10 years ago. The fabric is a brownish/gold with black fleur de lis, in a textured textile that was made in the Carolinas, a premium grade upholstery fabric. The sofa is solid mahogany and has wonderful carved detail featuring fruits and hairy paw front feet. The back feet are plain. The sofa measures 86” long. 33-1/2” high, 23” deep, and the seat is approximately 19” high. The sofa frame is all there and mostly solid. But the left arm needs gluing. The fabric is in OK condition. And was put on in 1968. There are also some old repairs on both arms(see pictures) Please look at all of the pictures carefully as they are part of the description. Antique Rattan or Bamboo Sofa Couch This is a vintage antique rattan or bamboo sofa without the cushions. The sofa measures 67 inches long and 33 inches high. The seat is 12 1/2 inches off the ground and23 1/2 inches deep. The sofa is unmarked but it looks like it may be Heywood Wakefield. It is in very good condition and is very sturdy though there are a couple spots where the reed strapping has come loose and needs repair or replacement but this is mostly cosmetic. To give you an idea it will cost about $100 to ship this from Syracuse NY to Portland Oregon Estimate shipping weight:48 pounds This will probably be best shipped though greyhound freight. It is less expensive but you will have to pick up the package at the terminal on your end. I will also have to have a box specially made to ship this which will cost about $25.
