The credenza has a slight serpentine shape, and paneled doors on each end with an attractive curving style. The crendenza has five (5) drawers, one of which has dividers built-in for flatware, and two (2) doors, that each open into large storage compartments with plenty of space and adjustable shelves in each. The crendenza has short curved legs. There are some small areas of veneer loss on the front of the piece, and these areas can be seen in the photos. There are some stains inside the drawers, which have dovetail joints. I am unsure of its age or manufacture of the piece.

Which are a very well thought out softening of the“touch-points” of the design, this model credenza is quite variable. It was available with a wood, linoleum, or marble top. The legs were either chrome steel, black steel, wooded legs, or even no legs as a floating wall mount. The doors were wood, or white lacquer. The only standard internal components were the pair of shelves, and beyond that they could be specified with a bay of drawers, a file drawer bay, or a bay with pull-out electronics tray for a Dictaphone(the electronic voice recorded of the day, which recorded 15 minutes of speech onto a single use vinyl belt) This particular specimen has a very well balanced mixture of the variables. With a beautiful walnut case and walnut bypass doors, chrome steel legs, and all three optional bays(stack of drawers, hanging file drawer, and electronics tray) The interior is all oak. The drawers in the stack are all solid oak fronts and sides, with dovetail construction. They also have built in drawer stops, so you can’t accidentally pull the drawer all the way out and drop it. The hanging file drawer has metal slides to bear the extra weight. The pull-out electronics tray also has metal slides and the bay has a hole for cords. All the extra space in the bays has holes for the shelf hanger clips, so the pair of shelves can be re-arranged to match your needs. I have this antique buffet made by Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing. I know this set is made before 1934, because in 1934 the Tomlinson Chair name was changed to Tomlinson of High Point. The matching table had the original tag on the bottom side of it, which is in the picture, however, the table is not for sale, this is for the buffet only. I am thinking its all Oak. By far. One of the nicest pieces of furniture we have had the opportunity to offer. This is a wonderfully carved server or cabinet made of solid walnut. It had 2 drawers above double doors. The interior has a fixed shelf. The columns are full carved and burled. The handles are also carved wood. The condition is excellent. One of the cabinet doors is slightly warped but still works perfectly. The finish is beautiful and the color warm and consistent. In 15 years, this is the first of it's kind that I've had the opportunity to own. This is a true antique. A fine piece of furniture. It would go nicely in any decor. Beautiful and well preserved sideboard buffet server. Red/Brown Marble with no cracks or chips. There are ink stains in the upper drawers. But this is part of its history and character. Skeleton key lock in perfect working order. The detail if the spindles and the upper hand carved piece are exquisite. The marble is approximately 1/4 inch thick and is recessed into the top. It is flush with the top. This piece is solid wood and doesn't appear to have been refinished or altered from it original state. The exact date of this piece is unknown. for auction a wonderful antique quartersawn oak server or could be used as a sideboard in a smaller dining room sitting. it has great form and beauty. The top and bottom sides are bombayed, the center drawers are bowed in a fine fashion. three curved upperdrawers, the center with felt. it has two doors on either side as you see. the piece is presented in original finish, all the hardware is original and perfect including the door locks. each drawer has original lock, all locks work with ease and i have the original key for it. it has two fierce whole bodied griffins on the mirror crest which are carved in a very fine fashion. it has the original beveled mirror which needs to be cleaned. as i was cleaning the woodwork on the mirror frame some of the new life got on the mirror and i just wiped it off, should have used some water. anyway, the ... moremirror will clean up nicely and only has a few minor areas of silver loss. this is a very heavy piece, i can barely lift one end with the drawers out and the mirror off. it was made by a superior cabinet maker, possibly horner of new york, as the drawer construction with the birdseye maple bottom are very indicative of his work. it could have been made by berkey and gay from mich. really doesn't matter who made it. it is constructed with perfection. it has 4 very well carved claw feet that support it. the cabinet is in wonderful antique condition with great patina. i cleaned and polished it as it has been in storage for a few years. it is quite solid and everything that is suppose to work, works like the day it was made. there are no major blemishes but on a piece that is 120 years old you can expect a few little bumps and bruises, however, i would classify this piece as near mint condtion. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck fyi, i paid 2000 for it years ago, i am starting it at 2300. ebay has triple their fees, it used to be 3 percent, they raised to 10 percent, greedy bastards. at any rate, their commission and listing fees etc. wi

Antique Heavily Carved Oak Sideboard European Origins Needs TLC
We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning European oak sideboard. This piece measures 53.75"W x 76.5"H to the back top x 19.5"D. It is 33.5" to the height of the work area. The top boasts an elaborate center carved panel depicting a scene with a man and a woman. This panel is flanked with more elaborately carved sections. Above and below there are spindles and on the sides there are also pinwheel style spindle& carving designs. There are elaborate floral designs surrounding the center panel. and separating the center panel from the panels with the pinwheel designs. Above the top spindles. The crest also boasts elaborate acanthus leaf carving with a center medallion of a bust of a man. The corners of the crest have small finials on them. One of these is broken off but we do have it. The work surface on this ... moreis in good condition with light surface scratches. Divets, and dings that are age and use appropriate. Below the work surface there are two carved front drawers with a carved medallion between them. The drawers have early joinery as shown in the photos. These also have what appears to be the original brass hardware. At the base of the piece there is a large surface for storage with two columns in the front as well as a small spindled gallery shelf. The bottom molding is ornately carved with the same floral medallion. There is a large crack and piece missing to the bottom molding. This sits on bun feet. There is one foot missing on the back and there is also one cracked. There are age and use appropriate scratches. Dings, and divets on this piece. There are areas that are also in need of repair. At more than 9.5' wide. 6' tall, and 23" deep this massive decorative oak(I think) piece is absolutely amazing to look at. I recently moved from an much larger house and really do not have the room for this any more. This is HEAVILY carved and EXTREMELY decorative. The top section comes off for moving, but the bottom half will require at least 4 men to move it. This piece has 7 locking doors. 4 drawers and 9 beautifully carved unique outdoor scenes. There is one shelf running the length of the top and one behind the doors on the bottom. This truly must be seen to be fully appreciated. I am not sure of the age. But some have estimated 1860's. There are no obvious markings indicating origin or age. Overall the piece is in very very ... moregood condition. There are two areas of damage. On the very top there is a crack and some damage on the underside of the top concealed behind the right pillar. I can email you additional pictures if interested in seeing anything else. Orignial 18thc Antique Italian marble top console sideboard server claw feet
18th century Italian marble top console with paw feet. This console measures 61.25 inches wide at the top and 64.50 inches wide at the front feet. It is 30.25 inches deep and 38 inches high. The bottom shelf curves in to 11.5 inches deep at its center. It is 30.5 inches from the floor to the underside of the top skirt. The original marble is 1.75 inches thick. And shows some use marks and minor chip repairs commensurate with its age. The console is in excellent overall condition. Mid Century Modern Sideboard Buffet Credenza Antique Vintage
Up for auction. Mid century era Sideboard/Buffet. This piece I believe was made by The Lane furniture Company. It has a bottom shelf made from caning, there are a couple of small breaks in the cane but, no holes. Not sure on what the wood is, Walnut? The top in the back there is a really small area where it looks like someone dropped something sharp on it and made an imperfection. The back is wood. The legs taper down. This is really great size for a small apartment or home. Would make a great entry table or bar. Measurements are 42"L. x 14"D. x 29"H.
