Sharp Pottery Barn-like rustic. Weathered 2 drawer dresser with metal key holes and the original keys. The top key works and locks but the bottom one sticks. The very fragile paper tag(as pictured) fell off the back but contains a little info on the piece. Looks like it's from Detroit MI. I am not an anitque expert. They were primarily manufacturers of sterling items, however they did have a small line of silver plate items. In 1958, they purchased the Frank W. This 3 piece set consists of a mirror. Brush and comb. The mirror is approximately 12 ½ inches long and 4 ¼ inches at its widest. The mirror itself is beveled glass. The ... morebrush is approximately 9 ¾ inches long and 2 ¾ inches at its widest. The comb is approximately 6 ½ inches long and just under 1 ½ inches tall. Each piece has an empty cartouche, no monograms. As you can see in picture 12, the combined weight of these pieces is 465 grams. As to exactly how much of this weight is sterling silver, I can’t really say. The condition of this set is quite good. All pieces are hallmarked Webster Company Sterling(see pictures) There is some light spotting of the silvering on the mirror. Mostly in the bottom bevel area. There are some dings to the brush and mirror that are visible in the pictures but overall they are in great shape given their age. As always. This box is elaborately decorated with flowers all around and the image of famed opera singer Jenny Lind in a medallion in the center of the lid. This milk glass box is in very fine condition. There are no cracks and no repairs but there is a very small chip on the rim. Not to fret because it is small and doesn't detract from the appeal of the box. In the photographs what you are seeing on the bottom of the box are the brown remnants of what was a really old label. I have scraped off 99% of it. This is a gorgeous large porcelain and ormolu dresser box with large pale pink and yellow roses! It is a nice large and heavy weighted size at almost 5 inches in diameter by 3 inches high. Overall condition is excellent. I see one very small shallow chip to the very edge of the top lid on the gold area. Could be easily touched up if desired. Both bottom halfs are painted pale blue and the lids have delicate blue forget-me-nots. There is a chip on the underside of lid on hair receiver which is painted over so it was there when piece was originally painted. Otherwise ther are no other chips, cracks or damage. The hair receiver is signed by artist(looks like) Nullenunber but can't be sure. This mark was used between 1899- 1918. The pitcher& soap dish lid have cobalt Hydra handles accented in gold. Each of the flying birds throughout the set are outlined(detailed) in gold. The pitcher& wash bowl also have one flower(the same flower on each piece) that is accented in gold. No other parts of the pattern have gold accenting- a nice detail. All pieces have Mason's Ironstone mark& various hand written symbols or letters(mostly in Iron red) The set includes: Large Washbowl- 16" diameter; 5 1/2" tall- note that the outside of the bowl has flowers but there was not enough room to include a picture Large Wash Pitcher w/Hydra handle- 11 1/2" tall; 10 1/2" wide ... morehandle to spout. A beautiful piece of decorative porcelain! An Antique footed. 2-handled NIPPON DRESSER VANITY COMPOTE all decorated by hand. Features a raised relief dragon& tiny moriage beading. The BLUE"M" IN LAUREL WREATH backstamp mark is signed HAND PAINTED, NIPPON. This stamp represents MORIMURA BROS(which I think may have been affiliated with Noritake somehow) This compote is 100 years old, as I found a website that states this backstamp was used from 1910- to 1911. It measures 2 7/16" tall x 4 7/8" wide from handle to handle(4 1/4" dish diameter& 2 1/2" foot/base diameter) The dragon has turquoise blue enamel eyes& a mauve tongue. The slip-clay flames( are a matte greenish color. There's black enamel moriage decoration on the handles. Description: This listing is for a Fine 20th Century Reverse Serpentine Chest of Drawers. It is not labeled. But is of simply superb quality in every aspect. A large solid mahogany top, molded and incredibly carved on the facade and formed in the reverse serpentine of the chest, rests over a collection of four graduated drawers. The chamfered and fluted corners flank the drawers. Each fully serpentine in form. The flamed mahogany veneers framed in cockbead molding applied around the edges of the drawer, hiding the dovetail construction of the drawers on the front. These are exposed on the backs of each drawer, with oak secondary woods completing the frame of the drawers for heavy solid pieces that are built to last many lifetimes. ... moreThe case rests over four bracket feet, the front two also bevelled on the corners to mirror the chest. But it states it was made in Occupied Japan, so I believe that dates it to between 1945- 1951? Hopefully you will know. It also has a mark above the MIOJ print. I do not know what the mark stands for, so again, I hope you do. This box is made of some kind of metal that DOES NOT attract a magnet(except for the hinged area) On the inside cover you will see the name"Mutzie" who must have been the previous owner would be my guess. This does appear to have some handling wear and definately needs a proper cleaning. As it looks as though it has been laying around for some time. This sale is for this very nice and fancy ornate victorian era dresser mirror with a round beveled mirror. It has unique face motiffs in a five areas in the fancy lacy design. I believe this to be cast brass. There is a small iron loop to hang on the wall if desired.It has imprinted marks"P.E. Guerin N.Y. and No 298. The brass looks in very good condition. The mirror appears to be in good condition for being from this era. Some spots on the mirror, please see the photos. P.E. Guerin N.Y. made fancy metalwork hardware etc since 1857. For your consideration. I am offering the beauties shown in the pictures above. At an estate sale, I was told they are vanity scarves, maybe sampler dresser scarves. They were displayed on an antique vanity. It seems with all of these, they would have been more suited for a sideboard since there are 12 total. Maybe they were used on the sideboard and the dinner table. Please see the information I posted in the'item condition' Although most of them look like the pictures I have posted. Antique Birmingham England Sterling Silver Vanity Dresser Set 1903 and 1904
A beautiful sterling silver vanity set. With a nice floral design, with date stamps from 1904 and 1903 made in Birmingham England. The Maker's Mark is a little too worn to distinguish but the others are in good shape. The first is an Anchor which denotes the city of Birmingham, the second is the lion with a raised right hand which indicates sterling silver and the third are date marks, all indicate the"i" shown in the picture which is 1904 and one brush with an"h" for 1903. This would make a beautiful decorative piece but is also usable if you wish. Made of precious sterling sillver its bound to hold its beauty for centuries to come. It seems at some point the brush hairs were replaced and the silver needs shining. The comb holder would need to be repaired for if you wish to use it. For your consideration we have a Historical WWI era silk and lace dresser scarf aprox. 25 x 15 inches. This piece is around 100 years old! Its a three panel design with embroidery of crossed US and French flags surrounded with leaves in the center panel. The outside panels are flowering vines on gold ribbons. The panels are silk joined with lace the bordered on another style of lace. There is a dime sized brown stain on the border. The piece is somewhat faded. It must have been displayed rather than tucked away. The condition is fair I think especially when you consider its age. This listing is for a very nice Victorian Celluloid sewing box. This is a beautiful box. It features a Moon& Star on the top of the box with flowers and Fleur de Lis around the outside of the box. The inside is red satin and velvet. The inside is almost perfect. Its a little dusty and there are a couple small"crush marks" where the utensils sat. Really very minimal. The outside of the box has a couple darker yellow spots. Possibly where perfume or similar item has come in contact with the celluloid. Very. Very slight chipping on the high edges. Very Nice Antique earl y 1900's Glass Dresser Box in a beautiful Nut Meg Stain! You rarely see these in this wonderful color. It looks like maple. The top is adorned with a building or church possibly in Czechoslovakia. I believe this piece was made by Moser however it is not marked. It has the classic S clip in front and opens and closes perfectly. The piece is 8 1/4" in diameter and stands nearly 4" tall off the table. Just a super piece that I've never encountered! Lovely Primitive Antique Wood Dresser Top Drawer Box Glove Box Shabby White I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and shop with another ebayer seller from out of town recently- a real catfish moment. Because we’ve talked for years, but never met! No surprises, just all fun and did we shop until we dropped! I have lots of very cool items for you that I will be listing all week. Enjoy! loveLoveLOVE this one! It's an antique dresser top wood box. You know, the type where you'd have one on either side of the top of the dresser to hold your gloves and smalls? I don't know what happened to the dresser(or the other box, for that matter) but it's o.k. with me, because I got the best part! Made of solid wood, with raised decorative details, it measures 10 1/8" deep by 9 7/8" wide and stands 4 3/4" tall. It weighs a ... moresolid 5 lbs. As this box used to mount on top of a dresser, it does not have a bottom- when you turn it over, you see the frame of the box, and the bottom of the drawer inside the box. The drawer has its original lock and key hole, but I do not have a key. The drawer space on the inside measures 7 3/8" wide by 7 1/4" deep and 2 1/2" tall. The box is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. You can see that it has a white white painted finish that is shabby and worn- mostly on the edges and high relief where you can see it's worn down to the wood. The back of the box is not painted, as it would have been butting up to the back of the dresser. You can see that the paint shows dirt- especially on the top, where there's multiple grey spots of it- I have not tried to clean it in any way- they are light. What else can I tell you? It's a perfect box for storage, small enough to fit just about anywhere, and you could double duty it as a cool old pedestal too. Form AND function- you can't go wrong! This lovely large Antique Italian Ardalt Capo D' Oro(Capodamonte) Dresser Jewelry Box with cover dates from the Nineteenth Century. It features wonderful decorations and Cherubs in the Italian Renaissance style. I understand it depicts a story in the design. Ardalt is the finest quality Italian and Porcelain and is entirely handmade of pure porcelain. Their textures ring out in time and space. The imperfections that I have found are two flakes on one of the feet as shown in my picture and some roughness on the inside top rim of the box. Dresser scarf/runner and two smaller, oval doilies. They are made of a white, tightly woven linen, and are embroidered in a heavy white thread with highly detailed dragons, breathing or holding the ends of strands of floral swags that stretch along the outside edges of the doilies. On the larger piece, there are ovals, filled with tiny square drawnwork, just above and between the two dragons, which face away from each other. The embroidery is done in a highly detailed, fine style, with filling stitches, and densely covered elements. All three pieces have scalloped edges, trimmed in buttonhole stitches. One of the ways that you can tell antique age in hardware is to look for SQUARE Nuts(instead of round nuts. Which came much later) All Pulls are Brass(magnet will not adhere) square nuts and washers are iron) I love the graceful design of four leaf-filled tear-shape or heart-shapes on each handle complimented by the perpendicular ends and scalloped edge ~ echoed in the engraved handle(which can flip all the way over(and are removable(for polishing purposes) You can attach handle with the scalloped edge down. Or up, depending on your preference) Speaking of polishing, I have deliberately not polished. As I have learned that Purist Collectors prefer to either do their own polishing. There are six that are the same size[ looks like 1" x 1" and come with the bolt and nut. Then there are two that look like 1 1/4" long and two that look like 1 1/8" long but they are the knobs only- no bolt or nut- but the bolt and nut from the 1" knobs do fit. There is also one more 1" knob and a bolt without the nut. All knobs look to be in good shape.
