The large upper cabinet has flexible. Movable ... moreshelves and period glass doors. It rests atop a cylinder or roll top desk area with a small drawer and several pigeon holes. The writing surface is covered in black felt and pulls out to provide a larger area. There is a large overhanging drawer as well as two smaller drawers and a cabinet below, for even more storage. All of the drawers have brass pulls and escutcheons and dovetail joints. The lower area is spoon carved in a charming leaf pattern. This piece most likely dates from the late 1800's. This piece is in good condition. But does have some cosmetic flaws, as is to be expected in a piece of this age. Several of the escutcheons are missing as well as the door pulls on the upper cabinet. The drawer pulls are loose as well and one of the escutcheons looks like it has been reattached. There is a piece of wood missing from the molding below the desk top as well. See picture) There is also significant wear to the felted writing surface. No other significant damage or repairs. The entire desk stands about 88" 7'4" tall. It has 3 hidden compartments and lots of pigeon holes and small drawers. It comes with the keys for the upper hutch. The fold down desk and the small door inside but not the drawers below. It has the original glass, which is wavy and has bubbles in it, in both panels on the left side but not on the right side. One pane is missing on the right side but would be easy enough to replace. Lots of character on this gorgeous old piece. It measures 81 inches high, 47 inches wide and is 23-1/2 inches deep at the bottom. It comes apart in two pieces so the bottom part is 41-1/2 inches high, 47 wide and 23-1/2 deep and the top part is 39-1/2 inches high, 47 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Description Fantastically aged and fastidiously crafted. Antique, walnut or oak secretary, over 100 years old. Even better for the disorganized desk captain- as they can quickly camouflage a messy desk by simply closing the hand carved top. The desk boasts solid golden oak fielded panels throughout and features the original oak cup handles to the pedestal. On each side of the tambour. There is a posting slot for mail(this allowed people to post mail into the desk while the tambour was locked) There is an oak modesty board, with two pullout-writing slides above 4 drawers in each pedestal. The interior has 14 internal drawers and 13 internal compartments and with brass finger hooks and knobs. The desk features a locking mechanism when the roll-top is closed. The lock and key are in working order. The two top drawers feature a working lock& key. The internal drawers are constructed of sycamore. The oak has an excellent tight grain with a wax finish. This stand is in great condition considering it's use and age. There are zero scratches or dents on the base of this old beauty but there is a little bit of discoloration on the original paint. Total length is 12 inches high x 6 inches wide. The chrome stem(upper and lower) is completely free of rust. And pitting. Very nice condition. for auction is a wonderful solid quartersawn oak roll top desk. this desk has no veneers and the quartersawn oak flake is as good as i have ever seen or owned. an old man. Long dead, who dealt in many many roll top desk told me that if you had a desk with a 5 digit inventory number that is was made by stickley and brandt. at any rate i would stake a good bit on his opinion. the stamped in inventory no. on this desk is 18173. regardless of who made this desk, it is top quality material and workmanship. the desk is 50 inches tall with a s waterfall top with a tambur that rolls and moves with great ease, no stopping, catching, jamming, etc. it rolls like butter. the other dimensions are, it is 50 inches wide and 32 inches deep. the desk top is 30 inches from the floor. it has the original key cover plate and strike plate on the desk top writing ... moresurface. the old lock has lost it's guts so i replaced the lock. anyway the top will lock if you choose to do so. it has a wonderful set of cubbies, complete with two pencil holders, i forgot to open for pictures and one drawer with a carved pull. i expect there may have been another drawer on the other side that has fell by the wayside somewhere and time in the last 120 years. the remainder of the cubby holes are as they should be. they were never designed for drawers and the openings are a good bit smaller than the ones that would accept a drawer. it has 4 drawers of wonderful construction on the left bank of the cabinet portion, most of which contain dividers. the right bank consists of three drawers, the bottom is a double drawer suited for file folders, it has a divider long ways down the center. i also forgot to open the drawers for pictures. i have used the 12 pictures ebay allows, but if anyone want pictures of the inside of the drawers or anything else i will be glad to send them to you. the drawers all have carved pulls in mint condition. underneath the desk top are four scotch and secure blocks which slide into a groove about 1/2 inch below the top part of the

Antique 19th Century Sea Captains Lap Desk - Writing Desk - Inlay - Escucheons
Here for bid is a 19th century folding lap travel desk. I was told that this size of box was often used by sea captains saving room in there tight state rooms. Maybe just a theory not sure. I would consider this box desk in pretty good condition for its age and compared to others I have seen. However as you can see in the provided photos it is not perfect and has wear. Nicks, cracks and chips that one would expect to see in this old of a piece. It needs inkwell replacement so forth and so on. I have no key for this desk but they are easily found. Some of the brass or copper inlay has been tacked a few small pieces missing. This type of scowling inlay is very hard to find for they took a lot of skill and work to make I am sure. Overall this desk has a lot character and charm. The hinge is tight and closes correctly. There are several escutcheons ... morethat were with this desk which also leads to maritime. Seat has a small area that appears to have been taped several time- this also will likely rub out with the right process but I am not comfortable restoring it. Very Nice Quality c1890 Silver Plated Desk Burner and Spill Holder. This I think this would have been used for heating the wax for seals. You would light the central burner and the two outer spill vases would contain a combination of wax sticks and tapers etc. The central burner would be filled with a paraffin type of liquid and then you would light the wick which would give off a continuous flame. There is typical wear on this piece but very nice considering. The chrome stem glows and shows no signs of corrosion.just a hint of wear. The original 3 rubber pads are in excellent condition. I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original circa 1870s- 1880s large fancy cast iron base Hotel Tap Call Service Bell. It stands approx 5-3/4" to the top of the tapper. The bell is approx 3" diameter, the base 4" square,approx 4-3/4" diagonal. Rings with excellent tone! The base is extra fancy and large. It magnetizes so it must be cast iron. It is nickel plated but the plating is worn, beneath this appears to be another brass type plating. I do not quite understand this but this is how it appears to me. One of a kind. Very good condition woman's writing desk from Mexico, circa 1900. This one of a kind piece has no screws or glue, and fits like a puzzle! This desk was brought to the United States circa 1970 from Durango, Mexico by my Grandmother. She in turn received it from her piano teacher years before! The desk shows quite well, as it has only been used as a decorative piece since at least 1970. Please note, all pieces are present, although the drawer handle needs to be reattached.

It is 28 inches high. And the wooden top is 18 deep by 30 inches across. The flat top has a lip of about half an inch high at the back of it. The desk is steady and sturdy. Quite heavy for such a small thing. It is excellent quality and has a romantic vintage feel. The wood on top is in good condition and it just needs a little oil every once in a while to keep it that way. Perfect for a small desk. All are marked with the trademark of the Smith Metal Arts Company. This process of gold encrusting on bronze was unique to them. They were consequently contracted by Tiffany to produce some items for them with this same finish. All the pieces are in very nice condition with little loss of gold. The blotter does have some stains on the front as is to be expected. For some reason the gold looks different in the pics than it does in person, which is much brighter. The front inlaid cartouche and escutcheon are both made from Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell. Once opened. The top fitted section reveals a pen tray a lidded compartment for additional pens, and other necessities, two small sloped compartments for pen nibs and clips and two(later) brass topped glass inkwells. Antique Florentine 1800's TOSCANA Walnut PERIOD antique DESK includes original CLOCK. Carved CUPID, matching CHAIR This sale is for an all original finest quality 1800’s walnut desk. Matching chair, carved cupid and clock. Location is Italy and we provide all arrangements and paperwork with professional packing and shipment. Price will be according to your location. DESK Elaborate hand carvings throughout the entire desk include 2 beautiful ladies protruding from sides of desk. There are 5 carved open compartments for organizing and a hidden drawer that opens the full length of the desk with 4 divided sections inside. The top center includes a compartment that incases the original clock. On the lid is a hand carved cupid. Underneath the desk is a paper disposal original period brown velvet sack with a hanging cord attached to a lovely ... moreivory pearl stone set within a bronze circular ring with designs. A walnut wood weight is attached. The desk is in very good aged condition without repairs. The only thing I see is two tips missing from the delicate finials. Located on left side underneath the desk and on the right side bottom between the legs. You will need to really search in the pictures because they are very hard to find. T he desk measures 52" high x 34" width x 21" depth. This is Italian workmanship from the old days that can not be found in modern times. CUPID measuring 9" height and 6" at the widest part attached to the top that covers the compartment where the clock sits. Very good aged condition. CLOCK T he clock has 3 different hand designs and incased in bronze? solid brass. The face is a natural cream ivory? porcelain with black Roman numerals. The face is aged with some hairlines but the numerals are bold without any color loss. The clock has 2 front legs and a weighted bronze pendulum that you can view from the photo. It does move side to side and I hear ticking but is in need of adjusting. The clock is original and fits perfect to view from a circular opening made for it

Antique Victorian miniature wood furniture in the form of a desk or cabinet that actually serves as a watch stand. Made 19th century. Comes from the estate of the late Beverly Sills. Famous opera singer and society beneficiary. Measures 8 inches accross and 6 inches to the top of the arch. Miniature wooden chest or desk. Beautifully constructed with rounded and stepped edges and inlaid wood with wonderful veneer patterning. A hook for hanging a fob watch above an inset circle. The left side is a cupboard. Haller AG Rare ANTIQUE METAL winding alarm table desk mantle clock FULL FUNCTION
You are bidding on this very rare ANTIQUE Desk/ Alarm Clock from the German manufacturer HALLER A.G. In the time Junghans was growing. Haller and Kienzle merged into one company uniting under the name Kienzle. This clock is from the first decade of the 1900's. It's is in an excellent functioning condition and it comes in solid metal! Having a windable movement which is running great. The alarm also works perfectly by means of a large bell on top of the clock. It is very clear and sounds like it left the shop yesterday. On top of the bell you find a carriage handle. The paper dial looks very good and there is a separate second hand and alarm hand. The scale on the dial showing the present time has Arabic numbers; the scales at the second and alarm hands are also in Arabic numbers. Special about the dial is that the time is also there ... morein"PM" 13, 14, 15 etc. Of course the HALLER mark and the name HALLER AG are on the dial. The front is made of thick glass and all hands come in black metal. The hands showing the present time were once glowing in the dark. The way they are shaped is special. The dial is oilfree! Everything is original! This object is not new. Used products have signs of use. Please judge the quality by taking a good look at the photo's! This alarm clock runs approx 30 seconds per hour too fast. Which is very common with these types of antique clocks. Weight: 722 grams. Vintage Antique Retro Desk Table Lamp and Art Deco Tape Dispenser
Here is a really nice desk set for your home or office Vintage Desk Lamp and Art Deco Tape Dispenser I found this great old lamp and tape dispenser in a yard sale and had to bring them back to life. Cleaning these items and giving them a new paint job was an act of love. I am not certain that these pictures do the colors justice. The base of the lamp and the upright arm are black. The lamp cover and tape dispenser are both fire engine red. All of the electrical parts. Cord and plug are new. The tape dispenser is cast iron and weighs in at just under 7 pounds. The lamp base and arm are also cast iron and the total weight for the lamp is just a bit under 4 pounds. Add some packaging and a box to this and we are looking at a shipping weight around 15 pounds.
