The doors have inset, raised panels with a carved, Asian, rural harvest scene. Each of these depicts a person gathering the harvest. There are also thatched roof houses and palm trees in relief. This piece can stand alone as an end table if desired. The lower unit is a little wider than the top and extends in width when the hutch is placed on top. The top hutch unit is also adorned with carved relief panels. There are 6 small panels above each window. There are 2 different scenes on the hutch that alternate with each other around the top circumference of the cabinet. Thatched houses, trees and mountains are featured on these panels. The hutch has two hexagon glass shelves with fixed placements. The windows do not have glass but the hutch is designed for glass panels to slip down and into notched glides inside the unit. The hutch has a hexagon top that screws onto the piece. The cabinet is quite beautiful. It is solid wood(no veneer) with a reddish brown stain. The relief panels are either wood on may be a Mid Century type composite.hard to tell for sure. They are in a straw or golden tan color with darkened crevices. There are no manufacturer's marks or stamps on either piece. I feel that this is not an Asian made cabinet but rather a"French Chinoiserie" style which was so popular in the Mid Century. It was removed from a Hanover County Virginia estate. It measures 26-3/4" tall x 14-1/8" wide x 6" deep. Made in the early 20th century. It features a darkened and worn dovetailed case, a single door with a reverse beveled panel, the original brass hinges and knob/latch on the door, a clean interior with four shelves that have from 3-3/4" 9" clearance between them, and a back with two holes for easy hanging. Up for bidding is an antique primitive pine corner cupboard. It is likely that it was built into a house and the back was put on later. The backing is 3 1/2 inch wide tongue and groove boards. They have been painted green on the back but are white on the inside of the cabinet with one corner free of paint. There original structure has been sanded to remove lots of the chippy pain t. It reveals the various paint colors that have accumulated over time with the most recent tan over white over light green over dark green. The two metal butterfly hinges and slide lock appear to be original and very secure. I suspect the longer hinge at the bottom of the door was added later. But I am not sure. Here we have a wonderful antique wooden bookcase cabinet or cupboard in good used antique vintage condition. Has two doors that will lock. One door has two little push latches one on top and one on bottom. The other door has a lock with a skeleton key hole. I do not have a key to the lock. This was found at an estate sale in Palm Beach and it did not have the key. You will have to find the right key. This is just the most adorable cabinet I have ever seen. I don't know if it had a bottom piece to it at one time or it just sat on the floor as it is. It has a wonderful aromatic old smell to it. I just love to open it and smell that smell. Here is an absolutely terrific find. Recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh and in very nice condition for an early 20th century quartersawn oak cupboard, with beautiful carvings including detailed leaves on the banquet drawers and upon the doors and mirror back top. This lovely sideboard has a nice, large serving area top surface, measuring 59 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches front to back( 24 inches deep from the front of banquet drawers) with a surface height of 38 1/2 inches tall. These are the overall dimension of the bottom section of the sideboard, which travels easily in two pieces. The top mirror back section measures 40 inches tall by 55 inches wide and 11 inches deep, front to back, at it's deepest point, allowing both top and bottom to be easily blanket wrapped for safe and easy shipping. The mirror back top features ... morecolumns, candle stands on each side 12 inches above the top surface with beveled mirrors behind to maximize reflection. These mirrors measure 15 1/2 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide and are clear with beveled edges as is the larger central mirror measuring 27 1/4 inches tall and 19 1/2 inches wide. The cabinet has 2 drawers. One on either side below the top surface, each 14 1/4 inches by 14 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches deep, and two delightfully carved banquet drawers each 18 inches wide by 16 inches front to back by 3 1/4 inches deep. Below the drawers are cabinets with beautifully carved doors. The two side cabinets measure 18 inches wide by 16 inches deep and 24 inches tall. The bottom door latch has been replaced at some point and I'm not sure about the 2 drawer pulls if they are original or not. Glass is original to piece and in excellent condition. ANTIQUE WALNUT WOOD COUNTER-TOP OR HANGING CUPBOARD WITH A PANELED GLASS FRONT DOOR This is an outstanding example of a one of a kind primitive antique walnut wood table/counter top or hanging cupboard. It was removed from a local central Virginia estate. It measures 19-1/2" tall x 15" wide x 8" deep. Made from walnut wood many years ago. It features a nice aged patina, a single glass front door attached with the original five small hinges, a metal knob on the door, and a clean interior with three fixed shelves. Two of the shelves have small plate grooves in the back. There is 7" clearance between two of the interior shelves and 4-1/2' between the other. This is a primitive cupboard. For your consideration is a Good example of a late 1800's Child's doll Step back cupboard in pine and old black paint. The cupboard is in the Eastlake" style" with circular top shelf popular in the 1880's cupboards. Very quaint and looks wonderful with other doll's early furniture. Set of Ironstone dishes in miniature go with the cupboard. I bought this from long time Portland OR dealer. From a local estate. If y ou love early doll miniatures you will love this cupboard. Black paint is old I would say last coat is 1920's or 30's over original dark brown paint. Bottom doors are false. Miniature Antique Eastlake Cupboard Estate find in North Carolina. This is a great little decorative cupboard. It is Eastlake style with carved floral patterns on fancy back panel and on the two side panels that hold the side shelves. There are two shelves on the sides and a cupboard in the center. The cupboard has really nice unusual hinges and thick beveled glass on the door. There is a nice scalloped trim across the top of the cupboard and then a decorative back splash with great cut outs on the sides and across the top. Four cut out finials. Painted yellow with some wear to the paint, it could be left as is, stripped and refinished or repainted. It it a great little piece to use in so many different settings. The latch is tin that has a brass wash coating. It has aged to a nice rustic brass color. I cleaned the latch and washed it with water so it is ready to use for many years to come. It was made in the early 1900's. I put a drop of oil inside so it works well with a nice strong spring.
