OUTSTANDING! 1800'S RARE EARLY OOAK ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE CORNER CABINET CUPBOARD SIGNED AND DATED* Up for auction is this very unusual corner cabinet. It's old! We're not sure how old but the detailing puts it in the 1800's. Possibly earlier. This is a unique and rare cabinet/ cupboard. It has the original rich, dark black paint and a fantastic patina! On the front on the door, there's a painting of a vase of flowers. Only the flowers are very visible now as the vase has faded over the years and now you can just see the outline of the paint. The writing above the flowers says"Fanosi Josef Kesri" It's hard to read the rest but we think it says"tet* 869 BC" We are fairly certain this mean British Columbia. It might be 1869, maybe it's 869! Either way, it's still old! and fabulous! It ... morehas scalloped edge trim all the way around the cabinet. The hardware on the door is old and the bottom one may have been replaced at one point. There's a bent over nail to hold the door shut and this has rubbed off the paint in that spot over the years. The door is bowed out slightly as you can see in the picture of it laying on its side. To close the door you have to lift up on it a little bit. The drawer below the door is old and nicely dovetail mortised. Big. Primitive dovetails, just the way we like to see them. The drawer slides in an out on a little board that was likely added later to help it from flopping around. The drawer pull is a simple wood element and this may have had a finial on it at one point. The drawer requires a little wigglin' to get it to set in there also. But, when the door and the drawer are all set in, it looks amazing! The back two sides are old thick wood. And the cabinet is heavy as a result. Weighing a good 34 lbs. There are holes in the back wood, likely where they hung the cabinet from. It measures 33.5" H x 27.5" W x 14.25" D(middle) and 20.25" down each back side against the wall. This is a fantastic early piece and

This one is very cool, I have never spent any time on it, and I believe this to be in all original condition, right down to the hardware and the glass. The rear door knob“may” have been replaced, that's the only part I am not 100% sure about. It's also possible the inside of the door has been varnished in the past but all this case needs is a very thorough cleaning, I'd be happy to show you the process I use and the results I have had in the past. I think you will be amazed at how nice this could be with only a good cleaning, not refinishing. This case is 30 1/2" wide. 30 1/2" tall, and 14" deep. It has a wooden door in the rear, and a glass door in the front. In 100% original condition, the joints are all very nice and solid all around. ... moreIt has some bumps and bruises for sure but if you truly appreciate all things old, you know that just adds to the history of the piece. This even has the original makers tag on it yet, in excellent condition. I have always loved taking a great old showcase like this. I would never in a million years refinish something like this! And when done, there is no better way to display what you love most. There is just something special about taking something old and displaying it in a similar fashion as it would have been displayed back in an old general store! Kentucky Primitive style Solid Walnut Corner Cabinet Cupboard 4 Doors Antique
Normal 0 I had this lovely huge piece of furniture made for me when I was in Kentucky in 1984. I commissioned a retired woodworker who was about 70+ years old at the time and he lived near Clinton. KY.for the life of me, I can't remember his name but his work is some of the the best wood craftsmanship I have ever seen. I brought him a picture in Country Living magazine of a corner cabinet that I wanted and he made it to the exact specs. I was more than thrilled to see it when he finished. I moved to New Mexico in 1993 and this has been with me every since. I am downsizing and really have to have this beautiful cabinet sold as it is no longer a piece that I need. It is large and heavy and takes 2-3 men to move it. The doors. Drawer and top(dental work carving top) can be removed. The front and partial sides are made of solid walnut. Thick ... moregrade. It will hold a large TV.that is what I had it made for years ago when the TV's had a"bubble back" The far back sides which are out of view are made of Walnut thick grade plywood. This cabinet is still in remarkable condition even after being in the New Mexico dry weather all these years. The only things I should point out are minor but nonetheless I want to inform you. I drilled a hole(about 1 inch) in the far back middle and lower to accept the tv plug(you can see the holes in the pictures) and also at the rear of the top shelf there is a small hole drilled so that I could connect the tv to the VHS player. Also. The bottom side piece of walnut molding came off and I screwed it back in although there are no visible screw holes anywhere in this cabinet. The doors(lower and upper) have about a 1/4" gap of space between them. It may have been like this all along and you can probably decrease that space by adjusting the hinges. It's certainly nothing detracting but I just want you to know all that I see with the cabinet.

Antique Oak and Pine Cubby Cupboard
I painted and distressed the front and sides of this old cupboard and sealed it with matte varnish. 7" x 15-1/2" 24" tall. Most of the exterior wood is oak, the central panel and interior are pine or fruitwood, one shelf appears to be a replacement. Here is an absolutely fabulous early to mid-19th century heavy carved oak sideboard with hutch top in the tradition of a Welsh dresser with beautiful dragon motif carvings on the doors. A lovely form, hand dovetailed drawers and detailed carving on all edges and trim including dentition on three sides around the top. It has small cabinets behind the ornately carved dragon doors in the hutch section as well as display shelves, and has drawers across the top with more open cabinet space below in the base section, which is where you see the traditionally older construction front to back planking across the bottom. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design, quality, condition, construction and overall beauty of this fantastic piece as well as a detailed description above. This antique heavy carved sideboard with hutch top stand 85 inches tall and measures 69 inches wide and 17 inches deep. Front to back. It travels easy in two pieces- the top hutch top measuring 69 wide by 12 front to back by 50 inches tall. The two cabinets behind the beautifully carved doors in the top are each 13 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches deep front to back and 24 inches tall, with a shelf splitting that space with 11 inches clearance above the cabinet base and 9 inches clearance across the shelf. There are also display shelves, with 9 1/2 inches clearance above the base below the shelf, then 12 inches clearance above the first shelf and 24 inches of clearance above the second shelf, below the exquisitely carved bonnet or cornice. 2 pc antique cherry Jackson press cupboard Hepplewhite 1820's not sugar chest
This beautiful and unusual cupboard or press is probably from Kentucky or southern Ohio. The top and bottom have always been together. It is not a married piece. The base has exposed dovetails on the sides. It never took a molding to hide the dovetailing. The bottom of the top is also dovetailed as a picture will indicate. The brass hinges on the top and bottom are the same. The dovetailed drawer has a divider in it. The drawer took oval period brasses originally, but have now been replaced with wooden knobs, and the holes have been professionally plugged when it was refinished. The 4 doors all took locks originally one is original one is replaced and 2 are missing. The cornice is all original. the secondary wood is all tulip poplar. The cherry wood is very beautiful having both flame and fiddle grain. The cupboard measures 86 1/2' tall ... morebase 42' wide the depth of base 17 3/4' and the top counting the cornice is 44' wide. This is not a reproduction. This is an AUTHENTIC tin sugar bin for a Hoosier Cabinet style Kitchen Cupboard. It is COMPLETE including the lift-up lid for filling the bin. The bail pull-out handle, and most importantly, the slide-plate for controlling the flow out of the chute. This slide-out plate is complete with it's stop tab. The bin measures 12" wide and 9" deep. Including the runners on each side the width is 12 5/8" The overall height is 12 1/2" This sugar bin is in very good complete working condition. There are some very shallow dents which are more noticeable in the photos than in person. This is an Antique Medicine Cabinet. It is an older piece that is made out of wood with its original distressed old paint. The paint is now worn. Crackly, and chippy which gives it such a nice shabby look. It has the original door with original key for locking and a glass knob for pulling it open. Inside there are several shelves that is great for storage. This large cabinet can be hung on the wall, but you will need to add hooks to the back, as the original owner did, they screwed it into the wall as you can see the holes on the inside. Also, on the inside door these is a little hook for hanging things. They added the newer ball feet later, which just slip in and out, they can be taken off easily, they are not glued in or you can leave them for a different look. This can sit on a counter or another piece of furniture. Antique pine corner cupboard blind door 19th century narrow country primitive
A 19th century pine corner cupboard in a primitive country style. The finish is very worn and dry but not original… it looks like it was painted at one time and then stripped. The hardware has also been replaced; the lock plates on the back of both doors are missing but the doors do close and stay shut. It has a single door on top and a single door on the bottom. And it breaks down into two pieces for transport. The piece measures approximately 87" tall, 38" wide, and 21" deep- a nice narrow size. There is some later replaced wood on the back of the piece which visible in the photos. It is a well worn piece that has a nice country look… the molding at the top is a nice feature. South African Yellowood Genuine Antique Farm cupboard
This is a rare item in North America. Buyer please be aware that while it is a genuine antique. +-1850s made from the valued and sought after yellowood only found in that region, it is a very rustic piece that was been dragged from farm to farm for well over 100 years before we acquired it 50 years ago.
