Antique - 130 years old - Victorian - Robin Egg Blue - Wood Kitchen Cupboard
This great old cupboard came out of the little coal mining town of Wilkeson in Washington State. Great Grandma had it at least as far back as 1885. She most likely bought it new in Tacoma around that time. The upper shelves are all solid wood with an oil finish. They are each cut from a single piece of wood about a foot wide. The lower shelves. Behind the bottom doors, have gone missing somewhere over the years. Their replacements are cut from 3/4 plywood and have a varnish finish. All of the shelving is removable.This cupboard is made from fir and some cedar. It features fancy brass pulls on each of the center drawers, and a solid brass knob on one of the lower doors. Antique/Vintage Primitive Child Size Play Cabinet Cupboard 3 ft tall
This is an Antique/Vintage Primitive Child Size Play Cabinet Cupboard approx. 3 ft tall. Dimensions are 37" tall by 19" wide. It is in good used condition. It has an old paper scene of ladies and children mounted on the top portion under plastic. I do believe that the plastic is original. As I attempted to remove it, I was going to mount this under a piece of glass to protect it, but the plastic has actually fused in places to the paper. As you can see in the photos, the plastic is warped in areas and does not lay flat to the piece, but there are no tears or rips in it. The piece is painted and there are some paint ships and wear. Sweet antique wood hanging spice cupboard/5-drawer/original finish/late 1800s
A wonderful and diminutive antique hanging spice cupboard with original wood pulls. Circa late 1800s. Looks to be made of oak. Five-drawer. With top drawer carrying Baking Powder and Baking Soda brands in the wood- not sure if these were put on by the maker, or perhaps the drawer was made from a wooden box of powder or soda. Size is 17&1/2" high, by 10" wide by 5&3/4" deep. Weighs about 8 pounds. Condition is as found and as shown. Natural finish which I believe to be original- great patina. Nice dental work on top and bottom. Original pulls. There is some wood loss from a break on the rear left corner. I got it that way. There are three pieces of wood in one of the drawers that came off that break- they need to be glued into place- at which point most of the damaged area will be repaired. I would say an easy fix. Fraktur Folk Art Primitive Angel Cupboard Pillow Antique Style Country
Fraktur Art was a Folk Art practiced by the Pa. Germans between the years of 1750& 1850. Fraktur used Naive and primitive images including angels. Birds and tulips to decorate and adorn birth and marriage records as well as religious documents and songbooks. I use authentic Fraktur images as well as text translated from the original German. I was making these petite Fraktur Art pillows a few years back. My Fraktur painting-has been printed onto fabric-I used Civil War Repoduction Fabrics and used nice vintage laces. Antique corner cabinet Victorian Empire Curio Cupboard wall shelf American 1850
I am delighted to offer for your consideration. This antique corner cabinet. This piece dates roughly around 1840-70's. In the classic and lovely Empire style. Wonderful curved doors and arched wood detailing. Ones of this age and size and very rare and highly collectible! It stands 18 inches tall. From tip to tip at the widest point it is 17 1/4 inches. The two back panels that go against the wall are 12 inches wide. The top has a nice strip of inlay wood. It has it's original hardware but no key for the lock. The overall condition is very good and it is ready to enjoy. The piece appears to may have been painted at some point. Slight remnants visible. The doors are not flush and a space is present as seen. Also the bottom right wood strip on the decor needs to be glued down. As you can see a small piece of that is missing. Which ... morecan be repaired or left as is. Their glues and paints don't give off toxins that cause internal air pollution, and it's almost always cheaper to buy an antique than something new. This piece is a case in point. Having sung the many virtues of antiques.I've owned this particular piece for almost 20 years. I think it was made in the late 1800s. But it could be earlier or later. It was found in Vermont. It's made of solid wood. So it's sturdy and heavy enough that it's for pick-up only. It is missing its original top. But has a replacement piece of board that was cut to fit long ago. The board is strong enough that I displayed things on top of it with no problems. The hinges were replaced at some point with period-style. Iron hardware that gives the piece a very striking, interesting look. Its size is 17 inches deep by 80.5 inches high by 47.5 inches. It could be used in a garage to hold tools. Or in a bedroom to hold sweaters and sweats, or in a library for books, or as a kitchen pantry. Or you could use it as I did: as a linen cupboard for quilts, sheets, and towels. EARLY 1800'S ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE APOTHECARY WOOD SPICE CABINET CUPBOARD HANDMADE FROM OLD CRATES* Up for sale is this amazing little wood eight drawer spice cabinet. On the bottom of the cabinet it is dated 1892! It also says Jan(January) June- R. Start- Carpenter and M. Start- Printer. The cabinet was probably made in January 1892 and painted/printed on June 1892. How sweet that the owner's took the time to print this on the bottom so that it would be preserved for history! It has great dark brown/reddish patina and small(brad) finish nails. All of the drawers except one has the spice written on the outside. The cabinet is made from old crates(old dry wood) as you can see in the pictures- so cool! There are some cracks. Chips, on the back and front as you can see in the pictures. There is a slight smell in some of the drawers but this ... moreis possibly from the spices that were used. The knobs seem to be porcelain- but were not sure. The last drawer the back is broken and split at the bottom. You can see in pictures 3 and 5 the splits in the back and front of the cabinet- zoom in. You can also see in the picture where it is dated that the splits go to the bottom of the cabinet- still it is sturdy. There is scratch marks. Broken drawer, splits, smudges, and more- none of it detracts from the beauty and uniqueness of this cabinet! It measures 17.5" high x 10 3/4" wide x 4.5" deep. Great for many uses! This a cute. Unique little cabinet that can be hung on a wall and is a great conversation piece! There are nicks, scrapes, paint splash, chips, including some edge wear as you can see in the pictures. LG Kentucky Primitive style Solid Walnut Corner Cabinet Cupboard 4 Doors Antique
Normal 0 I had this lovely huge piece of furniture made for me when I was in Kentucky in 1984. I commissioned a retired woodworker who was about 70+ years old at the time and he lived near Clinton. KY.for the life of me, I can't remember his name but his work is some of the the best wood craftsmanship I have ever seen. I brought him a picture in Country Living magazine of a corner cabinet that I wanted and he made it to the exact specs. I was more than thrilled to see it when he finished. I moved to New Mexico in 1993 and this has been with me every since. I am downsizing and really have to have this beautiful cabinet sold as it is no longer a piece that I need. It is large and heavy and takes 2-3 men to move it. The doors. Drawer and top(dental work carving top) can be removed. The front and partial sides are made of solid walnut. Thick ... moregrade. It will hold a large TV.that is what I had it made for years ago when the TV's had a"bubble back" The far back sides which are out of view are made of Walnut thick grade plywood. This cabinet is still in remarkable condition even after being in the New Mexico dry weather all these years. The only things I should point out are minor but nonetheless I want to inform you. I drilled a hole(about 1 inch) in the far back middle and lower to accept the tv plug(you can see the holes in the pictures) and also at the rear of the top shelf there is a small hole drilled so that I could connect the tv to the VHS player. Also. The bottom side piece of walnut molding came off and I screwed it back in although there are no visible screw holes anywhere in this cabinet. The doors(lower and upper) have about a 1/4" gap of space between them. It may have been like this all along and you can probably decrease that space by adjusting the hinges. It's certainly nothing detracting but I just want you to know all that I see with the cabinet. THIS CABINET WILL NEVER BE LISTED AT A LOWER PRICE.

Antique Wide Board Primitive Cupboard
Dimensions of cupboard body: 45.5 inches long X 19.5 inches deep X 48 inches tall. Dimensions of cupboard top: 48 inches long X 21 inches deep X 3/4 inch thick. Wide-board period cupboard with warm patina on the exterior. Interior was painted blue by previous owner. Back of cupboard appears to have been painted gray by previous owner. Cupboard door was patched where the lock closure once was(also by previous owner) Other defects(see pictures) include: missing wood on back board is visible on the lowest shelf(I used the hole to thread wires through when I used the piece as a TV/stereo armoire) the two rear legs are missing wood and appear shorter than the two front legs. Although the cupboard sits on the floor with good stability; also, there's a gouge on the right side of the cupboard where one of the old hand-forged nails shows through; ... moreand finally, there's a piece of trim missing from the right-rear section of the top board. Of course, it also has the typical knicks and bumps in keeping with a well-used antique. This cupboard moved with me many years ago from an apartment where it was proudly displayed in my living room. However. It's been sitting unused in my current home because it's too large, so I've sadly decided it needs a new home where it'll once again be the centerpiece of someone's collection. Outstanding antique Welsh dresser or pewter cupboard with a beautiful dark finish. A striking centerpiece for any kitchen or dining room. Antique cast iron turn buttons 2 1/16" primitive bow tie cabinet cupboard latch
These antique cast iron turn buttons are 2- 1/16" long and 9/16" wide. They were used to hold doors closed. Such as those found on dry sinks, jelly cupboards, or primitive cabinets. They were also used to hold things in place such as covers and tools. These have most of their original black japanned finish. Where the finish is gone, the cast iron is a little rusty. There are casting numbers on the backs, 60" and"6" but no other markings. We are including 2 period slotted steel screws to attach them. The screws are 3/4" long overall(exposed thread of 1/2" This is a nice pair of turn buttons that would look great on many old primitive cabinets. If you have any questions. Please ask.
