Overall condition is good physical antique condition. The latch moves smoothly and the spring on the underside appears to be tight. It's an authentic latch. And not a reproduction latch, so some minor imperfections, surface rust, old paint residue are often norm. A little cleaning should restore it to its original appeal. It measures- overall length catch included- 2 and 3/8 inches long by 2 and 3/8 inches wide.

A fabulous find is this antique solid quartersawn and straight sawn oak cabinet with handsome designs of inlay on the door and around the drawers. Two of the three doors are false. However, the drawer area encompasses the entire area under the main cabinet and the bottom. The door has a fantastic inlaid shell design. The classic canted corners help display how beautiful the patina is on this old cabinet. The door to the inside is paneled and is chamfered on the inside. There are several shelves. Height to the top = 42" Width across the front = 24 3/4" Depth is 19" in the middle and 20 1/2" on each rear side. Canted corners are 4" each. Antique Country Cupboard, American 19th century, pine
The genuine article. A large rustic pine two-door cupboard with abundant signs of age and wear. Estimated age more than 100 years. Probably 150. The piece was made in a rustic, provincial style, but with a fine hand, as evidenced by the hand carving, and with some unusual details. In particular note the hand-cut pocket joinery(inverted pyramids cut with a chisel) with the original cut nail showing in the joint. The finish is old wax with a nice patina; the hardware and fasteners are all original, or perhaps added many decades ago, such as the mortise lock(no key) The doors are warped as slab doors with applied frame tend to be, but functional, and the typical signs of regular use for many years. Made from solid oak this lovely piece is hugely multi-functional and will work in any room you need storage in. A single door armoire with turned and reeded column supports to either ... moreside of the mirror door. There is a drawer underneath with a slide to keep out dust. And four(4) adjustable shelves inside with another drawer under one of the shelves. The finish is original and a good mid-brown colour with a lovely mellow patina which has developed over many years of loving use. There is a twin bolt lock which is still operable. This is a tall armoire with a height of 226cm(just under 8 foot) and is 107cm in width. The armoire is 57cm deep. The interior shelves each measure 96cm in length and are 38cm deep. This armoire is in good condition and the only issue is some spotting to the mirror. Which is so"in" today. It is possible that the back of the mirror has been replaced at some stage during its lifetime of approximately 115 years. However, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected. It has what looks to be original old pumpkin paint and fantastic patina! Even the sides of the drawers are painted the pumpkin color. Both sides of the outside of the cabinet have punched out decorative sides that are tin and painted- very different! It may have been a small pie safe with closed up doors and drawers to keep the little fingers from getting in to the pies! It has old. Different sized porcelain knobs that are dirty but are wonderfully old and original. Old paper lines the slide out drawer and there is barely any left. It's warped and worn as well as dirty. There are holes, cracks, paint loss, edge wear, crazing on the paint and more- exactly what you would ... moreexpect with a true antique! We love this piece and have never seen anything like it! The top drawer measures 11 3/8" deep x 14 3/4" wide x 3 1/4" high. The slide out doors area is(approximate) 16" wide x 6" high x 12 3/4" deep. The small slide out shelf measures 12 1/4" deep x 12" wide x 1 1/4" high inside. The bottom drawer is 14 3/4" wide x 11" deep x 3 1/4" high inside. The top drawer is SLIGHTLY bigger than the bottom drawer. I love the inconsistency! The top of the cabinet looks like someone put something on top of it that left paint. Wear and slight indentation. The bottom of the cabinet has a board missing as you can see in the pictures but this is not visible when the cabinet is sitting. The bottom two drawers have an old hole on the right side in the front as you can see. This is a fantastic early piece and probably would not be able to find another one like it! This circa 1910 medicine cabinet or cupboard has been up-cycled into a funky. Shabby, charming display piece. Two turned spindles with victorian styled fretwork have been married to the sides of the cupboard, allowing it to stand on it's own. The door retains it's original glass and lock, the stationary shelves reveal the layers of paint colors used throughout the years. Note in one photo, one piece of original trim around the glass is missing. While adding to it's character, the glass remains firmly in place. For your consideration. Here is a very nice original General store showcase. This one is very cool, I have never spent any time on it, and I believe this to be in all original condition, right down to the hardware and the glass. The rear door knob“may” have been replaced, that's the only part I am not 100% sure about. It's also possible the inside of the door has been varnished in the past but all this case needs is a very thorough cleaning, I'd be happy to show you the process I use and the results I have had in the past. I think you will be amazed at how nice this could be with only a good cleaning, not refinishing. This case is 30 1/2" wide. 30 1/2" tall, and 14" deep. It has a wooden door in the rear, and a glass door in the front. In 100% original condition, the joints are all very nice and solid all around. ... moreIt has some bumps and bruises for sure but if you truly appreciate all things old, you know that just adds to the history of the piece. This even has the original makers tag on it yet, in excellent condition. I have always loved taking a great old showcase like this. Cleaning it from top to bottom, it is always amazing to see the end results. There is so much great patina hiding under a little dust and grime! I would never in a million years refinish something like this! And when done, there is no better way to display what you love most. There is just something special about taking something old and displaying it in a similar fashion as it would have been displayed back in an old general store! Antique Curved Glass Oak China Cabinet/Cupboard 1900-1950
All original with swell front glass doors and shelves. Cabinet is in excellent condition with little imperfections. Dimensions: Height 58" x Width 36" x Depth 13" The oak cabinet is from the Ebert Furniture in Red Lion Pennsylvania. In 1852. Two brothers from a small German town in Oberstetten travelled by sail to Philadelphia were they trained as cabinet makers. The brothers Johann Georg Ebert and his younger brother Johann Adam were masters cabinet makers. They opened their own company in 1854 and closed it doors in 1959. The company was a success for a hundred and five years and their furniture is still around.

It has what looks to be original old pumpkin paint and fantastic patina! Even the sides of the drawers are painted the pumpkin color. Both sides of the outside of the cabinet have punched out decorative sides that are tin and painted- very different! It may have been a small pie safe with closed up doors and drawers to keep the little fingers from getting in to the pies! It has old. Different sized porcelain knobs that are dirty but are wonderfully old and original. Old paper lines the slide out drawer and there is barely any left. It's warped and worn as well as dirty. There are holes, cracks, paint loss, edge wear, crazing on the paint and more- exactly what you ... morewould expect with a true antique! We love this piece and have never seen anything like it! The top drawer measures 11 3/8" deep x 14 3/4" wide x 3 1/4" high. The slide out doors area is(approximate) 16" wide x 6" high x 12 3/4" deep. The small slide out shelf measures 12 1/4" deep x 12" wide x 1 1/4" high inside. The bottom drawer is 14 3/4" wide x 11" deep x 3 1/4" high inside. The top drawer is SLIGHTLY bigger than the bottom drawer. I love the inconsistency! The top of the cabinet looks like someone put something on top of it that left paint. Wear and slight indentation. The bottom of the cabinet has a board missing as you can see in the pictures but this is not visible when the cabinet is sitting. The bottom two drawers have an old hole on the right side in the front as you can see. This is a fantastic early piece and probably would not be able to find another one like it! This is not made in China like a lot of other"Primitives" you see on eBay. This is a hard to find. One of a kind wall shelf. It measures 75.5" L x 16.5" H x 7" D. It's a wonderful dark brownish black color- great patina! This wonderful shelf will be the focal point and conversation piece in any room in the house and fits in with most decors. It is absolutely a stunning true antique piece! It has a nice scalloped/ detailed top shelf-bar where you could put some crocks. Wooden bowls or plates and the shelf-bar would keep them from falling off. Then, below the top shelf there's a small shelf, great for all kinds of items. Below that there are 11 wooden pegs/ hooks, great ... morefor hanging up herbs, flowers, wooden spoons, utensils, etc. The top bar has some chips off the ends, probably from being moved about. You'd hardly notice them once it's hung up on the wall. There are some big holes in the back of the shelf both at the wooden pegs area and inside the small shelf area. These were likely used for hanging it on the wall. It is just my opinion but I think this shelf would be gorgeous with painted wood bowls on the top shelf! We're not sure of the exact age of this shelf but it's old and probably late 1800's to early 1900's. It looks like all original. It has some chips. It is dirty. The black on top is years of accumulated dust. A medicine chest taken from a home built in 1901. Hook added to keep door closed after the original hardware no doubt wore out. History The Hoosier Manufacturing Co. was incorporated in 1899 with John M. Maring is President. Houses of the period were frequently not equipped with built-in cabinetry. And the lack of storage space in the kitchen became acute. Hoosier adapted an existing furniture piece, the baker's cabinet, which had a similar structure of a table top with some cabinets above it(and frequently flour bins beneath) By rearranging the parts and taking advantage of(then) modern metal working, they were able to produce a well-organized, compact cabinet which answered the home cook's needs for storage and working space. Beautiful French Country Vaisselier or cupboard with plate rack. I bought the piece about 15 years ago at an antique shop in Kansas City. MO for $6700.00. It is a lovely authentic French piece not a reproduction. Circa 1850 or there about. I love it because it truly reflects the French Country simplicity. I'm not sure what region of France but it could be Brittany although it isn't as heavily carved as some Brittany pieces. This is a big piece standing over 7 feet tall- approximately 7'3" 24" inches deep at the deepest and 54" wide. These are approximate measurements. I'm not sure what kind of wood, could be old oak or chestnut or something else. The patina is gorgeous, showing years of use, in fact the plate rack has a slight dip in the lowest rung where it has worn down. There are a couple of dark marks on ... morethe top of the base where a pot was set down at some past time. It is a great piece for displaying your collection of china or antique pottery. I used it for displaying plates for different seasons or holidays, but alas we have moved to a new home without a dining room. It is an absolutely beautiful cupboard that has great presence. Antique Wood Inlaid Hanging Corner Cabinet Cupboard Walnut & Mahogany
We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique Early 20th Century Hand Made Hanging Wood Inlaid Corner Cabinet or Cupboard. This cabinet is in Excellent Condition with some loss to the bordering outer perimeter inlay at the top and pieces of the bordering inlay at the bottom have been reglued on. The inside of the door has a crack that does not extend to the outside. It is 100% secure. The inside top shelf sits and is not secured in, we believe this is correct. All the nails, the hinges, the lock and the 2 hanging hoops are original, we do not have the key. There is slight wear to the wood, you can refer to the pictures. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition of this piece. The cabinet measures 24" in total length x 16" wide x 9" deep, the cabinet section is 18" long and weighs ... moreapproximately 7lb 12oz. The cabinet is made out of black walnut and the inlay appears to all be mahogany with a bit of tin around her head that has gilding paint& the small circle appears to be abalone. Great detail, you can see the notes of the sheet music in her hand. A great arts& crafts look to this unique hanging corner cabinet that dates from the 1920's, possibly earlier.
