Antique 2 Piece Pine Secretary / Desk - Cupboard, Bookcase
Selling the antique pine Secretary/Desk c. 1790 shown in the pictures. The top is easily lifted off the base as shown in the pictures. The desk surface folds out and is supported by an arm that pulls out from the base. The secretary shows normal signs of wear and use and has some scratches that can easily be refinished. 20 ANTIQUE WHITE PORCELAIN DOOR KNOBS w SCREWS Old JAPAN Cupboard knobs Used
Group of 20 used white porcelain knobs were made in Japan. They measure approximately 7/8" across the top/front of the knobs. 5/8" across the back(Japan marked end) and are 3/4" deep. Their all original screws measure 1 1/4" long(not counting the 1/8" head) This leaves 1/2" of the screw to screw into the wood. The knobs are in very good condition without any cracks or chips. They may have some old paint. The screws are partially rusty which may clean off. As they seem quite sturdy and useable. This is a very nice group of old Japanese porcelain knobs. For auction. An old Quimper Breton wooden step-back china cupboard for doll house collectors. It's constructed and decorated with all the folk art details one would expect of this French style of furniture. The two doors open with the turn of the knob to reveal two inner shelves. The three open shelves on top have a turned wood spindle design to hold plates upright. And even the top of the cupboard is decorated. The piece measures 9 7/8" tall x 6 1/8" wide x 3 1/8" deep. American Primitive Painted Raised Panel Antique Cabinet Cupboard, 19th Century
AMERICAN RAISED PANEL PRIMITIVE PAINTED CABINET 19th Century Item# 410KYZ13 A rustic work that probably emanated from the hand of a rural craftsman or even homestead craftsman. It retains much of it's original surface, the whole being heavily worn and patinated. Broad reeded columns flank the raised panel door, each panel bevelled along all four sides of the front and set in the grooves of the tenon-mortised door frame- the door swings easily over it's original forged iron hinges, these untouched and retaining all of their original screws, the door locking in place with a carved wooden catch affixed to the know on the front with a tiny wooden peg. The interior is a tidy display of five yellow pine shelves, these replaced at some point during the 20th Century and in outstanding structural condition. On the side of the case is an etched ... moremotif common in the Pennsylvania Dutch community, a"Pinwheel" scratched beneath the painted surface. The top shows the neat rows of hand dovetailing that locks the sides of the case into the plank of the top. Resting over untouched original feet and plain surrounding molding, this is an absolutely gorgeous cabinet with all of the charm that comes with centuries of wear and oxidization. An exceptional selection for anyone with a home of rustic decor. Measurements: 38 1/2" W x 18 3/4" D x 67 1/4" H Condition Report: Extensively worn surfaces and structure throughout. The paint is very early. Almost certainly original at least in part. Backboards removed at one point to replace the shelves, the current yellow pine shelves probably installed in the last few decades; nails for the backboards are mostly replaced with modern nails, though a few original nails are retained along the lower edge; piece of sheet metal installed over an old mouse hole. Charming antique child's or doll dish cupboard or cabinet with original glass front door. This antique piece has some damage and shows its age and use and could use some TCL and restoration. There is wear to the reverse painted decoration at the bottom of the door. The cloth lining inside is worn, stained and held in place very roughly by thumb tacks, there are some dings to the wood,some missing veneer and there is wear to the finish. The cabinet has four shelves inside. The cabinet is a dark rich wood color we think it's oak or pine. It's got old hardware on the door. We're not sure of the age of this item but think it's from the early 1900's. The top on the back right side is lifting a little and could be nailed back down(see the last pictures) Also. The boot jack on the back right is missing a little of it on the back side. It's not noticeable unless you look for it. It has a nice patina to it with a few little spots of edge wear. For your consideration. I have an Old Turn of the century Stepback Cupboard or Dutch Cupboard. The top part sits on the lower base section much like the Hoosier Cabinets. The cast iron hinges on the doors are all from 1800's but I think the cabinet is circa 1900? There is wear to the molding at the bottom of the door on the base section. I think the small middle drawer has a replaced front. All the drawers are dovetailed except that small middle drawer between the two pull out bread boards. CA1910 Antique Doll's China Cupboard - Painted Wood
This beautiful little china cupboard is for someone special. It is an absolutely charming set back cupboard for doll or child. Off-white painted finish with hand painted delicate pink flowers and greenery. The doors are glass. The top glass doors have perfectly sized flip latch hardware. Antique Early English Hunt Cupboard Door Panel Carved Grouse Pheasant
Wonderful very old hunt cabinet or door panel measuring approx 30"x23"x5" Probably English. The bird is hanging upside down and his feet are tied with a ribbon(I have also shown you pictures of it hanging wrong side up so you can more easily make out the form) Excellent carving and composition. This panel is very heavy and probably dates to the early 1800's. It has a split on the left side and the tiny nails that secure the panel to the frame could use some reenforcing since the panel is loose. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE SALESMAN'S SAMPLER/ CHILD'S STEPBACK CABINET WOOD CABINET CUPBOARD* Up for sale is this very nice little wood three drawer apothecary salesman's sampler or child's cabinet. It's a little chest of drawers or a vanity and has three drawers down below and a mirror with two shelves on the top part. These were often used to demonstrate the actual items without the salesman having to hall a big one around. In this case. This might be a child's dresser. It's made from old crates which probably dates it to before 1940- I think this is older than the 40's. But we don't know the age of this item. The outside of the cabinet is a rich dark wood color with a nice patina to it. As noted above. The cabinet is made from old crates as you can see in the last picture. What a great piece to add to any collection! ... moreIt measures 25" high x 17" wide x 10.5" deep. The little drawers measure about 2.5" H x 14.5" W x 7.75" D inside. The drawers have little porcelain knobs with old rust flat head screws. The bottom drawer has some writing on it but we can't read what it says. You can see it in the pictures. The mirror has some aging spots on it and there's a few nicks and dings here and there- it is not clear- please see photos. On the back. There are some newer screws that someone added in order to hold the top mirror to the bottom drawers. You can't see these from the front. Also on the back, there's a little paper behind the mirror with some names on it. The names read"Emmie Niehoff" Uirg ma Niehoff" Clara Niehoff" Virginia Niehoff" Roland Niehoff" Some of the names occur twice. There are some nicks. Scrapes, chips, including some edge wear as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn't expect from an item of this age. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, plain oak open hutch cupboard in dark brown original finish. Two part construction, the case in Jacobean style having three doored compartments, barley twist legs with cross stretcher. The cupboard has three shelves with two groves each for plates. It measures 6'6" 78" tall by 6"6" 78" wide by 20" deep, the shelves 11-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: without chips or cracks, original finish unworn. Includes all three locks, no key.
