The chair shown to give a sense of scale Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably well preserved English Georgian Mahogany Kneehole Desk from the third quarter of the 18th century. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk. Just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. This beautiful example in good condition with a fine rich patina has a small cornice over three short frieze drawers each with brass swan neck handles above two large fielded panel doors enclosing hanging space being raised atop stile end feet. Each of the cupboard doors are finished with good brass H shaped hinged and fielded panels as are the sides. Fraktur Art was a Folk Art practiced by the Pa. Germans between the years of 1750& 1850. Fraktur used Naive and primitive images including angels. Birds and tulips to decorate and adorn birth and marriage records as well as religious documents and songbooks. I use authentic Fraktur images as well as text translated from the original German. I was making these petite Fraktur Art pillows a few years back. I have several left-these are the last of them. The center section is made of carved griffons. Another common feature of antique oak hunt cupboards. The drawers have a lock but no key. The upper shelves are adjustable with an alligator bracket system allowing you to customize what is put inside. You are viewing an original 2 piece hard wood antique step back cupboard. It has two wavy glass doors with three shelves for china. It has eight small cubby holes at the bottom for letters. Etc. there are four nice drawers above these with original pulls. One pull is missing. There are three dove tailed drawers on the bottom. the top one being the smallest. They have original wooden knobs. There is a charming fold out piece with pull out support under the doors for writing. The left door is missing a piece of hardware/latch. They do have a key hole as do the drawers. But are missing the key. There is a small area on one side where a sliver of wood has been regaled. It measures approximately six inches by one inch. a true craftsman could more than likely make it invisible. There is normal wear reflecting it's age, but no other areas of ... moreproblems. The cabinet measures six foot tall by 37 inches wide. it has nice crown moulding on the top reflecting ally he detail on this unusual piece. Hi for sale I have an old corner shelf made out of antique doors. The auction is for the pair of shelves. These shelves ate truly unique. They are quite large. each piece has three deep shelves. They are both sturdy and they were built well. Shelf# 1 this shelf is on the left of the photos. It has the full glass doors( no muttons) it measures: 80" tall x 38" wide and 24 5/8" deep on each side Shelf# 2 has the cross bars on the glass. Measures: 80" tall 38" wide on the front. You are bidding on a very nice antiques walnut pie-safe with very early heart and star punched tin in the sides. This is what would be called a combination pie and jelly cupboard and it is from the early 1800's and was found in eastern Ohio. The cupboard stands 69" tall. 48" wide and 16" deep and has a rare galley around its top, one tin with a hole and the piece has been refinished to natural walnut. This absolutely gorgeous antique cabinet stands 15 inches high, is 14 1/2 inches long at the base, and is approximately 9 1/2 inches wide at the base. Inside, it has one adjustable metal shelf, and four brackets, so that you may decide just how best to position the shelf, or decide not to use it at all if that is your preference. The brackets have seven notches each that can be raised or lowered by 1 1/2 inch increments. The inside of the cabinet is 13 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 7 inches deep. Offered without reserve is antique cast iron Cabinet latch from an estate. It has very nice designs that I think would date it to some time in or near the Eastlake era. Circa 1860's through 1880's. The knob slides to the side to release the catch, there is a spring return. A wonderful example of New England charm. THIS IS NOT A REMAKE FROM RECLAIMED WOOD. I have had this cabinet for about 30 years. It is from Vermont. I do not know its exact age. But it has to be from early 1900's at least. Small cabinet. More likely for jelly than a pie. The front door is made of punched tin. The rest of the cabinet is wood. Inside are shelves that are fixed. Outer measurements are 16 1/8" wide by 16 1/4" tall by 8 1/2" deep. Inside is 11 1/2" wide by 13" tall by 6 1/2" deep. Shelves have varied space in height.

It could date from the 1920's or 30's when other renovation work was done to make this one family into a two family home. It stood on a counter that had a cupboard below it. I am selling the doors to the lower cupboard in a separate auction. The cupboard stands approx. 72 1/2" hi gh x 52 1/2" wide x 16" deep and has three board shelves. The two doors have six panes of glass each with one pane cracked. They measure 15 1/2" x 31" The cupboard looks like it's pine covered with four or five coats of paint. Antique Ornate Victorian Cast Iron Cabinet Latch, Old Eastlake Cupboard Hardware
Here is an old cast iron cabinet latch with keeper. This antique latch was cast with nice decorative details. It was designed to be attached to the face of the cabinet or cupboard. It is about 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. It is about 1 inch tall at the tip of the knob. This latch has a porcelain knob. The keeper or catch is a close match for the latch but is not a perfect match. The shape of the end of the keeper is close but slightly larger than that of the latch. The keeper has some black paint over the original finish. The latch has its original finish plus some off white paint. The spring inside works so you can pull back the knob. Open the cabinet door, and then the latch will move back when you release the knob.
