Up for sale is anther great find from our grandparents 200 year old Indiana Farm Estate. We would love to keep this great piece. But need to make room for the next generations, so it is time for it to find a new home. This piece(not sure if it is considered a pie safe or china cabinet) belonged to our great grandparents, and may have been in the family longer, but we have photos of it in their farm house from the very early 1900's. I tried to upload some of these photos, but due to their age and point of deterioration, was unable to. This cabinet can be moved in two pieces. The piece is in amazing condition for its age. The only issue I could find with it is that it looks like one of the wavy glass panels has been replaced, but may have just been re-secured as it matches the other glass panels(see photo 10) The punched tins on the bottom ... moreare in amazing condition, and original to the piece. The cupboard has the original grain painted finish which has aged to a warm reddish-brown color. Very nice original vintage antique solid pine cupboard. Still has the original wavy glass. Pine slatted back, and I believe this is the original finish. Very sharp clean old cupboard that most likely dates back to the early 1900’s, if not earlier. This is 3’4” wide, 3’7” tall, 15 ½” deep. Most likely served as a special cabinet to hold someone’s precious china or something similar because it has a lock that opens with a skeleton key. The original skeleton key lock was replaced, but this one still old and very nice. Original key still with it. This is a very nice antique style rosewood carved Asian two door cabinet in very good condition. The front door its profusely carved with a very nice deep rich patina. C 1720.It has lovely proportions and great colour/patina with two moulded panelled doors enclosing a plain shelved interior, flanked on either side by fluted columns. The end panels are moulded with geometric square motifs. It is in good original condition with only minor surface wear. The top planks have warped slightly with age, but this merely adds to the character of the piece and is all very much as you would expect from something that is nearly 300 years old. These are stamped on the back with the number 1712. Plate is 2" tall the knob on the swivel 1 5/8" long. The original screws are in still attached.
