I am selling these gorgeous honey shade of wood Rway dining chairs with original finish and upholstery in very good condition for its age. The dimensions of the arm chairs are 36" tall. 22" wide and 18.5" deep. The side chairs are 36" tall, 20" wide, and 18" deep. All have a seat height of 19. The seats are wide and comfortable. The wood is secure, except one armchair needing to be tightened on one of the bottom side bars but that does not affect the structure. There are light scratches here and there, nothing bad, and scuffs on the bottom of the legs as expected with age and from use. Though crafted roughly one hundred years later in the first quarter of the twentieth century. Borrowing the square'd and undistracted lines of Neoclassicism. The chairs are of outstanding proportion and form. This is an antique dining room set consisting of a table. 3 leaves and 8 chairs made by A. Brandt Co. This particular style is hard to find. Without the leaves, it is a nice round table 42" diameter. Each leaf is 14" With all 3 leaves in it, it is 85" long and 42" wide. It has a 5th leg that swings down to provide additional support for the table. This style of chair is rare. The set has minor blemishes, but is in nice condition considering its age. The chairs have been re-glued and are sturdy and comfortable. This is a lovely set and is so versatile. We are pleased to offer this EXTRAORDINARY pair of antique chairs. The chairs are French. Louis XV in style. They are generous in size. They feature Canape or Corbeille form frames with an added bonus of asymmetrical backs which give them a Regency flare. The asymmetrical backs are mirrored so that, together, there is a"right" and"left" chair. The backs are extremely interesting. Elongated, tear drop shaped, cane insets punctuate the wood frames(almost as if an exclamation point) not only on the top of the chair backs, but just above the seat as well. The chairs are truly rounded and a unique, carved" faux ring" attaches at the intersection of the back to highlight the curvature. The curvature is extended to the seats as the front profiles of the seats are also contoured. The chairs have cabriole legs with incised/carved ... morepattern. The frames are mahogany wood. They have been, at some point(not by us) painted in gold. They have also been re-upholstered at some point. The fabric is flat woven and a heavy weight blend. It features GORGEOUS, vibrant colors of blue and gold. The fabric has a unique pattern that is plaid but, with the way the colors are arranged, it is also striped. It is perfect with the frames. The fabric is finished with gold trim. The chairs have a whimsical, beach motif fabric used under the seats. It is not visible unless the chairs are turned over. The chairs are in extremely nice condition. The gold paint has been purposefully"aged" and chipped in some areas so that the mahogany is exposed. The square pedestal split base table is tiger oak and an antique. Gorgeous claw feet with wheels under them. If you would just add a little stain on top it would be gorgeous or keep as is. One of a kind antique Cannell& Chaffin dining room chairs From Hearst Castle A little history behind these chairs and the history behind Cannell& Chaffin. The old-line Los Angeles interior design firm of Cannell& Chaffin was a high end. High quality furniture company that opened its doors in 1917. Founders. Samuel Bartley Cannell(owner/president) and George Chaffin sold these beautiful chairs to their client William Randolph Hearst for a project he called" La Casa Grande" known to everyone else as Hearst Castle. These chairs were used in Hearst's personal dining room. The chairs date back between 1927-1932. The chairs were given to a"then" maintenance company employee. Who kept the chairs until his death in 2010, at which time, I inherited them. Made of fruit wood. Doweled wood pegs(as seen in photos) and ... moregreat detail to the carving. Each chair is in extremely good condition. There is absolutely no give in the wood, no wobble, breaks, or cracks. The wood does NOT need to be refinished. The dimensions are 36" tall. 20" wide and 18" deep with a seat height of 19" I had the arm chairs made into side chairs so the seats on those two are 22" wide, but it's barely noticeable. Set of 2 Antique Victorian Chairs with Needlepoint Seats
Available is a pair of antique carved wooden Victorian style chairs with complimentary needlepoint seat covers. The wood is heavy and dark. The wood is in very good condition with only light signs of use. No major flaws. Cracks, etc. The needlepoint seat covers are similar but not exact matches. Both needlepoint seats are in good gently used condition. The chairs measure 32" tall and the seats are 16" by 16" The backs are somewhat rounded and the seats tilt slightly forward. Local pick up only. We are located Steubenville. Ohio in eastern Ohio. Our nearest city is Pittsburgh, PA. All items come from a smoke free home. No international bidding please. Antique Sette and Chairs Early 1900's
This auction is for an Antique Parlor Set: includes 1 antique sette(couch. Sofa, bench) and 4 matching arm chairs. Originally purchased(nearly $3,000) for theatrical use, however this furniture could not be used due to its value etc. it remains in the same condition and has never been used since we purchased it. The sturdy pieces show no signs of instability. Each piece seems to be in its original condition having had little or no restoration work; as a result there are some minor cosmetic issues, but these pieces are all extremely structurally sound. This set was manufactured circa early 1900's. Starting bid is much less than purchase price. Will take any reasonable offer, inbox me to negotiate.
