Unusual antique shabby dining table and chairs
We started with a beautiful. Solid antique table with wide round legs and solid, carved chairs that just needed a new surface and we did a five step process to make it simply gorgeous. We began with a light sanding, a full coat of Annie Sloan's Swedish red followed on top by another complete coat of her Provence color, then we lightly sanded to bring out the underlying color and then completed the entire set with her clear wax to keep the colors muted and sophisticated and protected. On the chairs- we recovered them with a Italian/renaissance brown pattern with just a hit of the soft turquoise and the result as you see, makes it a one-of-a-kind spectacular set. I would estimate the true value of the set to be safely from around $700-800 to approx. $1200. The center expansion leaf in the middle is painted to match and hides into the bottom ... moreof the table when not in use. The table seats six easily and possibly eight. for sale a great set of antique solid quartersawn oak dining chairs with nicely carved crests. the chairs are all rock solid and have not even a hint of a wiggle. Antique Barouqe Style Parlor Set with Couch and two chairs
This is what looks to be an original but its hard for me to date. It has a deep red velvet brochade uhpholstery that is in fair condition some fading and wear. One seat springs in chair and one side of couch are busted. Back fabric is particularly faded and worn, and is torn on one chair but the bones and guts are in great shape. Original upholstery tacks, wood carved and heavy sturdy frame, with gilded gold finish. Unusual Maritime symbol of"mermaid" playin a flute. This came from an Estate Sale in Savannah Georgia. I really wanted to have it restored, but just will probably never get around too it. Make an offer, I might even consider trades.

This chair model was designed by Clement Uhl. One of the original nine Uhl brothers who established the company. Elements of this chair's construction were patented in 1902 by company founder Joseph Uhl. Made of steel with plywood seats. These chairs are becoming more difficult to find and are very collectible. Up for sale is Antique pair of Carved Spanish Savonarola chairs. I do not know the origin of country. But most likely countries in Europe. They are manufactured around 1920-30's. Both chairs seats are splitted due to lack of oil for many years. We can see heavy carving around the frame. The chairs are strong and sturdy. You just need to replace the seats leather. There are all bronze or copper nails there for both chairs. The size of chair is 30"H. 24.5"W, 21.5"D, 17" seat high and 24.75" arm high. I am listing another pair of chairs. For your consideration is this pair of early century Mission style oak arm chairs. Each chair appears to have been hand made; as the wood shows signs of being hand planed. The joinery is all reinforced with 1/4 dowels(except for corner braces on the under side that I think were added much later. The joints consist of elaborate slat and groove construction. I could not find any markings at all on these chairs. There appears to be a very old repair to one of the legs; but it is rather obvious that it was done by an experienced person(maybe twenty years or so after being made) The chair are very sound. Charming antique cottage style chair with a wonderful aged patina. Oak frame with butter cream colored leather seat. It’sa perfect chair to pull up to the table for an extra dinner guest or place in a foyer beside a small lamp table. This is an antique double drop leaf dining room table which was professionally restored a few years ago in San Francisco. It has two hidden drop leafs which are cleverly hidden inside the table. Without the leafs it is 65" long. With first leaf it extends to 83" and with the third leaf it extends to 101" It is 41 1/2" wide. It comes with 6 matching chairs which were professionally reupholstered recently. The only issue with any of the chairs is that one chair has a leg which was chewed on by our dog, but the other five are in great condition.

1940's Antique Walnut Exquisite Dining Room Set! This is ornately carved set that has Inlaid Veneers in the China cabinet and Buffet. The beautiful table has twin carved legs at each corner with a Finial in the middle of the underneath frame. The top has a still nicely polished walnut matched woodgrain and has 3 original leaves to extend the table.The leaves are slightly darker than the table top as they have not seen as much light as the rest of the set. There are 6 side chairs and 2 arm chairs. These are also carved to match. The 6 side chairs have been recovered in a very nice off white"floral motif" fabric. There is a roll of matching fabric to complete the 2 arm chairs. This was my parents set and they just used the 6 chairs because of their limited space. Fine Pair of Gothic Chippendale Side Chairs, prob. American, Antique c. 1760-80
CHEST OF DRAWERS ANTIQUE CHAIRS TABLES BRONZE SCULPTURES FINE PAINTINGS SCHOOL OF ORIGIN SUBJECT LAMPS. LIGHTING PAIR OF GOTHIC CHIPPENDALE WALNUT SIDE CHAIRS. PROBABLY AMERICAN Probably Philadelphia. Pennsylvania- possibly England, c. 1760-80 Item# 130006JNC13 A most attractive pair. They exhibit strong Gothic influence in the tastefully restrained carvings and somewhat unusual splat form. Tenoned into the triple-humped crest rail, the single piece pierced splat is the statement of the chair- the splat depicts a row of spears with spade heads under inverted hearts formed in a complex swirl pattern that culminates in five tower-like formations that project into the splat. Along all prominent exposed edges of the chair, following the crest around the volute-ears, down the stiles and completed along the outer edges of the front legs, a soft ... moretwisted-rope carving elevate the form significantly. The splat drops into a shoe. This inserted into cut rabbets in either stile and resting over the frame- note, the somewhat unusual use of rabbet cuts in the stiles has eliminated the need for nails or glue in the shoe treatment as is typical. The seat is trapezoidal in form, the front edge of the slip seat bowed to conform with the curve of the front seat rail. The interior of the chair frame is joined with replaced blocking, these probably added during the late 19th to early 20th Century. The chairs are stretched over a box-stretcher, the medial stretcher tenoning through both of the outer stretchers for a permanent and perfect joint. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL pair of 19th century chairs. The pair feature heavily carved. Walnut frames. They are high back with a slightly Gothic profile. The backs are open in a Ladder Back fashion with large, rounded medallions at the tops. The rounded sections are arched and scalloped on their lower sections. They are exquisitely carved in an intricate urn and floral pattern which is similar to that of the French Brittany style. A carved, scalloped design is also present. The lower cross"ladder" supports are arched, with the arches notched in a flower petal design, and have a center carved fan shaped accent. The upper side supports feature sections of elongated turned wood and unique finials. The legs are turned wood with both upper and lower supports. The front legs are accented with double turned wood supports ... moreas well as an upper support which repeats the design of the ladder back pieces. The rush seats are original and feature thick fibers which are assembled in 4 distinct, triangular patterns. The chairs are in very good condition for their age. The wood has some minor areas of wear to the finish. The seats have some expected wear to the fibers but, in general, they are also in very good condition. From the back view, you can see where the two sections of the back medallions come together. The chairs are fairly heavy and they are sturdy. These chairs were likely made in Italy in the early 1800s. Clearly Northern Italy with some Austrian influence. One vertical on the back of one chair is clearly marked made in Italy(see last photo) Wonderful hand crafted pieces of solid construction showing time honored techniques. The decorative carvings on the two back splats enhance the lively play and movement within the wood. Up for sale is Antique pair of Church( Throne Chairs from 1800's. The previous owner told me they got them from old church in Riverside. California. Some people say they are Arts and Crafts style. I can see and tell some part of chair is surely oak quarter-saw. But I am not sure all parts are oak or not. They were used wooden nails not steel nails. Both chairs are sturdy. Well-made and very comfortable. They are really good condition except one chair back board venner lifted. You can easily fix it by puttingg some glue in the space. The dimension of chair is 26-1/2" width. 25" deep, 16" seat high and 39" back high. I prefer the buyer pick up locally or the buyer arrange shipment and pay the shipping fee. Gorgeous Antique set of 8 19th C French Fanteuil Louis XV Dining Room Chairs
This is a rare and fabulous set of eight 19th century French Louis XV Fauteuil dining room chairs. They are just gorgeous! The fabric is immaculate. It is a pinkish salmon color and the backs are done in a contrasting plaid fabric of cream, pink and green. I was told they were originally purchased by a decorator in France. They are believed to be from the late 1800's, and it is unusual to find a complete set of eight chairs! Please see all pictures as I could not fit the eight in one picture there are also two arm chairs. The chairs are beautifully carved solid wood and painted. They are all very sturdy.
