Antique 19th century 16 drawer apothecary cabinet. This piece has a deep. Rich patina to the wood and original wooden pulls. There are some imperfections, ex. one drawer has a chip(see photos) Overall it is wonderful and would make a great kitchen island and work space. It has a butcher block top that may not be original to the piece but is a very nice marriage of the two pieces. The drawers are solid wood except for the drawer bottoms, they are made of a pressed board. Being offered is an Exquisite Pair of Antique Donath& Co. Dresden 9 3/4" Hand-Painted Cabinet Plates. This particular mark seen in picture(12) was used between(1893-1916) The plates are scalloped and the décor features vibrant multi-floral sprays embellished with gold swags. Each is in GOOD CONDITION with no chips. Cracks or crazing showing no scratches, utensil wear or loss of gold only a few tiny rub marks from stacking. Large antique store cabinet. I don't know what kind of wood it is but it is very heavy solid wood. Top and bottom do not come apart. It is all one piece. It measures 7 ft 6 1/4 in by 6 ft wide. 20 in deep at the bottom and 14 1/2 in deep at the top. It has 2 large shelves to go in the bottom and 4 smaller ones for the top. It has been in storage and is dusty. We were going to fix it and use it in our house but have moved and no longer have room for it. Picture isn't very good. It is not wider at the bottom like it looks in the picture. It is just the way I was standing below it. The doors are missing and it needs to be refinished. You are buying a rare. Nearly complete early 1900s pharmacy cabinet. This beautiful cabinet is from Wheeler's Pharmacy in Lynchburg, VA. Wheeler's Pharmacy opened for business in 1911 and there is every reason to believe that this cabinet was an important part of that original pharmacy. The wood cabinet features metal tabs above each drawer; it was through these tabs that the various labels were pulled and applied to prescription bottles. There are 60 drawers for the various pharmacutical elements used in the drugstore- 15 of the drawers contain full rolls of labels; the other 45 have at least a portion of a roll of labels. The wooden part of the cabinet is in very good shape; the pictures show that there is a chip in the top of the cabinet. We also believe that the top wooden drawer front is a replacement although the workmanship ... moreis very good. No other issues with the actual cabinet other than the top chip. You are bidding on an antique wooden washstand from a convent. We don't know the age or the type of wood. It has a nice light oak look finish. It is very well made and has alot of carved detail on the front drawers and door. Each drawer has a working lock. The one key fits all locks. The key is not original to the piece but is of that time period. We are not sure if the front pulls or rollers are original to the piece. As you can see in the picture. The holes for the front pulls match up with the original holes in the drawers. There is a slight loss of finish in one spot on the backsplash. There is also finish loss on top of the towel bar where the damp towel would have hung. The washstand measures 48 inches tall from towel bar to floor. It is 30 inches wide x 16 3/4 inches deep. The front faces of the doors are two paneled and black lacquered. Each panel features a thick, textured application of a gesso type material. These sections have been finished in a cheetah or leopard pattern with amazing and realistic appearance. These panels are further accented with a raised, center, Neoclassical molding that consists of acanthus leaves and lotus flowers. Again, the designs are in raised relief so there is texture and dimension to these as well. This beautiful late nineteenth to early twentieth century quartersawn oak sideboard has beautiful carvings including g riffins on top. Carved lion feet, a large beveled mirror with candle stands and long display shelf above as well as a lovely server surface, drawers and open cabinet space behind decorative doors below. The wood grains on this pieces are gorgeous, the front edge has a slight serpentine front and the detailed carvings including applique and trip work are spectacular and appear to be intact. This piece is on it's original casters so it can be moved easily. I show the casters in close up behind the decorative front carved lion's foot. This large sideboard stands 79 inches tall and measures 47 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches deep. Front to back. It travels safely and easily in two parts. The base is 38 inches tall and includes ... moretwo small drawers, each 18 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches front to back and 4 inches deep, one of which is a buffet drawer, lined in old maroon felt. You won't be disappointed with this beautiful antique display case circa 1920's. It is made of oak and was very well made. The base piece appears to be solid oak and measures 72-3/4" in length. 28-5/8" in width and 30-3/8" tall. There is plenty of storage space in this base piece. The base is tin lined(appears to be original) The top piece has beveled glass on four sides with sliding oak doors at the back containing mirrors to the inside of the case. The sliding doors were a replacement more than 25 years ago and were very beautifully done. The top piece is the same length and width as the base piece and is 15" tall.
