The broken-arch pediment is striking and unusual. The thin arms lifting from the molded top in a cresting wave, curling into fine inlaid pinwheel rosettes; these opposing waves of the pediment flank a fine inlaid pointed urn finial raised on a plinth base of conforming inlay. The arched door is crafted with through-tenon joinery, the fragile corners supported with butterfly dovetails on the inside(possibly later) it features twelve glazed panels framed in scratched-bead walnut astragals, opening on original hinges to reveal a shelved interior. Each shelf is channeled to display plates and platters, the front edge of each shelf molded, one shelf crafted to hold utensils in the front edge. The case has outstanding proportions. These eased by the thick molding around the waist and the inlaid band around the shoulders- this easily divides the visual planes of the piece into graduated levels that are easier for the eye to digest. The bottom of the case has a pair of solid walnut doors framed in a matching inlaid band, each embellished with inlaid shield escutcheons to match the arched door, these opening to reveal a shelved interior. The entire case rests over original bracket feet. The construction of the case is very fine. The pair of stiles on either side of the case joined in some kind of hidden dovetail or butt-joint, running from just an inch above the ground through the molding of the crest. Condition for age and use is very good. Some marks and does have a split in the wood on the top but does not effect the cabinet adds vintage to it and it is only slight. This antique walnut cabinet is in 2 pieces. With the upper part attached on the back side. The upper part has 2 glass doors measuring 20 inches wide and 38 inches tall. The entire top is 52 inches tall and 12 inches deep. It has 4 shelves, with 3 of them adjustable(old round metal pegs) Much of the wood in this piece is 1 inch thick. The lower part of the cabinet is 33 inches tall and 18 inches deep. There are 2 drawers. Each 17 in wide by 15 in deep. There are 2 wood doors on the bottom and 2 shelves inside. All wood, hardware, glass, and finish appear to be original. The entire cabinet measures 85 inches(7 feet 1 inch) tall. It measures about 42" long x 47" tall x 18 1/2" deep, the lower shelf sits at 30" tall. This is a fantastic piece for storage, there is so much room between the two shelves and the cabinets. Unfortunately I no longer have room for this item. The finish is a waxed wood, the wood is a dark red, and there is some of the original paint under the wax. There are a few light scratches on the lower shelf which can be covered easily with more wax or wood oil. Due to age the lower shelf isn't completely straight, ... moreit bows slightly in the center. Additonally there are some splits in the wood doors, again, as one would expect with a country piece, and with age. The doors and drawers have their original porcelain pulls, the front door swings open from time to time, I just put a tassle around both pulls to keep the cabinets closed. This cabinet has it's original fretwork around the border, which is in lovely condition. Due to size and weight this is available for pick up in LA only. Antique Hanging Corner Cupboard Cabinet Blue Paint Mirror Primitive SE PA to start a new paragraph use- This is a charming old"make do" fancy piece out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a heavy piece and the frame looks to be constructed out of second hand hard wood crating boards; the boards are 3/4" thick. There is old paint on it. Looks to be several coats of paint on the front from over the years, none of them new. There is plaster molding trim framing the outside edges of the front and framing the door opening. That's what makes it a"fancy" make do piece) This piece is solid and sturdy. There is light chipping of the paint on the front exposing some of the plaster in the molding. And overall age to the painted surface, the door closes easily but there is a slight gap at the top, there are also some gaps ... morein the boards. The mirror is old and has some losses on the back, but all are small and it's perfect with this piece. The mirrored glass is beveled on one side only opposite the door handle and was probably taken from an old mirror. I'd never replace it. Fancy metal pull that was also painted over at some point. These type pieces are getting very hard to find and this came up in a small shop here in PA. It's a one of a kind. This is not a typical offering from us, but I just couldn't resist it. And it's been confirmed as fabulous from all the"ooooh and ahhhh" comments since I brought it home, even from members of my household who arent' into antiques so much. The unboxed weight is about 22lbs(shipping weight about 27lbs) Measures Approximately 27 inches tall, the front is 16 inches across, the two back side boards are 12 inches across forming a"V" in the back, the cabinet is 10 inches deep at the widest point from the center of the"v" to the front, with one small shelf inside. The bottom is flush, and this will stand on the floor as shown or could be displayed on top of a table or other piece you may have to complement it.

This is a fantastic and cool French vitrine from approx. 1890 to 1910 which has a black dark original finish. All original glass which is very wavy and old, an original mirror in the back, and is decorated with gold gilt trim and a romantic scene with several men and women on the front hand painted panel. It came from a great estate sale here originally 7 or 8 years ago and has been in the same place since. I was at that estate sale and remember this cabinet and not being able to purchase it that day. It is the interesting features of the carved moldings.the carving and color on the legs with the bellflowers and foliage.the beading around the glass panels.the lovely glass panels themselves.the original gold gilt rosettes with all present.the way the top is slightly raised.and the hand painted panels on each side.is what drew me to the cabinet ... moreoriginally years ago. Antique Victorian Table-top Cutlery Canteen. Oak Cabinet w 5 Drawers Elkington& Co Liverpool Circa 1900 Marked'Elkington& Co. Silversmiths, Liverpool' An solid oak table-top cutlery canteen with heavy brass carry handles. It has two arch panelled doors. With brass knobs and a sprung stud locking system(but no key, alas) which open to reveal 5 fitted drawers, also with brass handles. The doors reveal a brass inlay plate with the name Elkington& Co- as per the above markings. Cutlery people will be disappointed to learn that the drawers are empty and no longer fitted for cutlery. They are beatifully lined with velvet. And it is obvious that this has been used as a collectors cabinet, a function for which it is ideally suited. It has some problems. None of which detract from the overall appearance or function- but this is ... moretoo nice a piece for me to attempt repairs. A piece of wood, about an inch long has been lost from above the door hinge, on the top right hand side, and the solid oak back panels have shrunk, and have been carelessly glued back into place- and stand a little proud. I have a dilemma. In that the previous owner applied trim under the base of the cabinet to fit securely into an'ad hoc' stand. This is a more recent piece of oak, with a ply platform shelf, and was once probably a 1950s side table. It looks quite handsome on this'stand' the difference in colour and grain of wood is not too glaring, and could well suit those who want to use it as a collectors cabinet. I have decided to sell it with the'stand' included in the asking price. But if you do not want the'stand' I will deduct £10.00 from anty final agreed price, and you will likely save a substantial amount on postage- especially overseas buyers. Finally. It follows that those who want to return this to its original form, as a stand-alone table top cabinet, will have to remove the thin wood trims on the base, and(ideally) find some suitable feet- the holes in the base indicate that there w

I've owned this old medicine cabinet for at least 25 years and it was an antique then. Good condition and very usable for both function and decor. I like the interior shelf layout. It hangs via two built on hanger-hooks. It has a simple screen door type latch and a screw. Use it in the bath as designed or for spices in the kitchen or? Traditional stained pine. This is an early American Cabinet. Or converted radio cabinet, made in James Town New York by the Tillotson Furniture Manufacturing Corporation. The front of the cabinet is Tiger Maple. This is in beautiful condition with few marks or chips on the outside. The inside has holes where the radio(probably) was connected. Both sides of the cabinet open. The side not pictured is lattice work. All the doors open and close nicely. The top of the cabinet is also in excellent condition. The year of manufacture is from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Antique European Spice Cabinet w/ Drawers in old Red Paint
An attractive antique spice cabinet with 6 small drawers. interlocking construction, as pictured) and a wider drawer across the bottom. The cabinet is done in old red paint, and the escutcheons on the drawer fronts appear to be opaque glass, with European print on them. The cabinet stands 11 inches high on 4 small feet, not including the crest on top of the cabinet. That adds another 2 1/4 inches. This was meant to sit on a countertop, but someone added a modern hook on the back to hang as a wall decoration. The cabinet is just as I bought it, and I've done nothing to clean it or alter the condition. This is for the new owner to decide. Three of the drawer pulls will have to be replaced, to be of use. No reserve once the opening bid is met.

Exceptional detail in the layered top section of the cabinet which can be seen in image#7. I couldn't get a true translation of the Chinese script from the previ ous owner but he exp lained it to me an something like this. Vintage, Antique Hoosier Cabinet Hinges, Latches Lot 1
This is lot 1 of two lots of mostly Hoosier hinges. Latches, and handles. Some are Sellers some are Hoosier, some are Boone and I am sure probably some are other companies that made a form of the Hoosier Cabinet. I would say most of this is all Hoosier items, I have seen some other hinges, and I am not sure what they came from. These Hoosier hinges, actually have sold on here between 10.00 to 30.00 some for one item, some for 6 items. Great project for someone who knows Hoosiers to piece it out. Some are original some maybe reproduction. Some are in nice shape for the age, some are rusty, some maybe frozen, or bent, I am sure there is paint on them, or tarnish, scratches. In any case they are used. They are as found. You will also find some of the little screws for the hinges mixed in. The items in the pictures are the actual items you will ... morebe receiving. Antique Tiger Oak Printers Cabinet Work Shop Tool Bench Chest Factory Mill Store
The pics and condition above tell most of the story. This is too large and heavy to ship. Except I do use a shipper from Boston to NY along rte 95 and Manhattan. Also. Once in a while he goes to Eastern Maryland. Ask for a quote please. All the drawers have slots for dividers. This is a very heavy well made pc of furniture. It would cost a couple thousand dollars to make today. The walls are solid tiger oak, quarter sawn. This would look great in a shop or country store, even a restaurant. I think a printer may have used it from the ink spots. If your decor is Industrial or Machine Age this would fit right in, especially in a mill or factory loft space. Has shelf on top Antique Glass doors on top Two doors on the bottom This is a old piece. Some of the paint is coming off in some areas. This is a great piece like it is or you can redo it. Can be used as a cabinet. Hutch, bookshelf, China Cabinet, etc Name on the back is FW Kuhne Wellsville. What I found online There was a Mr. Kuhne Furniture store in Wellsville Missouri in 1915 it was called the finest store in the state. This piece might be from that store. But not sure. Pick up only. Antique Primitive Country Corner Cupboard Cabinet Crackle Chippy Green Paint
Up for bidding is an antique primitive pine corner cupboard. It is likely that it was built into a house and the back was put on later. The backing is 3 1/2 inch wide tongue and groove boards. They have been painted green on the back but are white on the inside of the cabinet with one corner free of paint. There original structure has been sanded to remove lots of the chippy pain t. It reveals the various paint colors that have accumulated over time with the most recent tan over white over light green over dark green. The two metal butterfly hinges and slide lock appear to be original and very secure. I suspect the longer hinge at the bottom of the door was added later. But I am not sure. What a great piece for an authentic country decor! Measurements: The cabinet measures 25 3/4" tall x 24" wide across th e front x 12 inches deep. ... moreCondition: This piece is the real deal. It is very old and shows it's age. Inside there is a board missing in the back corner of the top shelf and a small piece of the corner missing on the second shelf. The boards(especially the backing and moulding on the opening side) have knots and pieces missing. It is surprisingly sturdy for it's age. It's charm and patina are prized and are an amazing find! Antique 1900 20-Drawer Wood Apothecary Spice/Machinists Cabinet
Still has remnants of old red paint! We have an awesome antique 1900 20-drawer apothecary or spice or machinist's cabinet. It's latest use was for hardware storage. Like nuts, bolts, brads, rivets and the like. The brass label holders still have these old labels on them. Some of the drawers have removable separators in them. There are 2 extra brass label holders and some labels in one of the drawers. It's in great shape- timeworn wood and warm patina. The cabinet looks hand made to me. The drawers are not dovetailed. It appears that one of the drawers was remade as it is not made of the same wood as the others. Its the last drawer in the second column. Any way you use it.
