Some normal wear and tear on the chair legs but the table itself and the breakfront are in great shape. The table normally sits 6 people without the leaves. When the leaves are inserted the table can comfortable sit 10-12. Set comes with dining table. 6 chairs, china cabinet and hutch/breakfront, table pads, and china cabinet pads. The fabric was reupholstered a few months ago so the seats are in mint condition. One of the two table leaves(inserts) has a small chip in the wood but the leaves are only used when table is extended- so barely ever seen. The cabinet was hand crafted. Made in England. Circa 1980 Bevan Funnel Yew wood Gothic arched doors Includes key Excellent condition, There are several unusual features to this lovely corner cabinet. First. The wood used is yew wood. Yew wood is a native English wood that is not common, but has many of the same features as maple. The second unusual feature is that we know who made this corner cabinet. Usually English furniture does not include a maker’s mark. On the inside of the lower door is the mark for Bevan Funnel, a very prestigious English furniture firm still in business today. We have dated this particular model to sometime around 1980. From the Gothic arches on the glass doors to the sturdy bracket feet. No attention to detail was spared on this corner cabinet. Inside the top section are two adjustable wooden shelves. They adjust via a brass pin and hole system. The lower cabinet contains one wooden shelf. Both cabinet doors lock and one key is included. A moulded cornice crowns the top while a recessed panel door with trim really shows of the attractive qualities of yew wood. The fact that after over 30 years this yew wood corner cabinet is still in excellent condition is a testament to the quality of skill and care that went into its construction. It has survived with no noticeable wear and would make an excellent addition to any room of your home! This yew wood corner cabinet would look great in any corner of the home! Plenty of display and storage space that all locks with included key. Here is the label from Bevan Funnel. On the inside of the lower door. The moulded cornice looks great on top. Overall dimensions are 56.5"H x 46"W x 24"D. It is a hand made reproduction made in Georgia. USA. It is finished in a hand-rubbed, antiqued and distressed, midnight black paint and honey pine lacquer finish. The distressing helps make the piece look old and like an antique. It has old fashioned black pewter finish knobs on the small drawers, with pewter finish scroll metal pulls on the four drawers in the base, a solid wood pull-out shelf for extra work space, and dovetailed base drawers. This is a nice quality wooden cabinet with unique and interesting vertical handles on the drawers. It's a deep rich red stain color and parts of it have even darker color. The cabinet is in good shape for it's age and has a number of nicks. Dings and scrapes on it as you can see in the pictures. There is a noticeable color difference in the wood on the drawers and also between the drawers and the top and sides. The drawers have high sides on them as you can see in the pictures except for one drawer where one high side has broken in half and the top of the side of the drawer is missing. It has worn spots. Edge wear, scratches and nicks as you'd expect from and item of this age. It's old but we're ... morenot sure how old. On the inside of the drawers is written"Mr. Mueller" and"8-16-26" We anticipate that this is when Mr. Mueller obtained it and that it was in 1926. The lower right door sticks a little when you try to pull it out but the others work fine. The cabinet measures 31.75" W x 16.5" W x 20.25" H. The drawers measures 8.75" W x 14.5" D x 7" H inside. This is a beautiful Stickley piece. There is no key for the door and it will come open if not on a level floor. It is 66 inches high and close to 3 feet across the top. Reclaimed from a century-old barn in the Sierra Foothills. Now look at all the pictures below to see how beautifully the project came out. It's been responsibly stored since its restoration. Now it's time for it to move to a new owner! Handles are original. New durable. High-gloss exterior paint was custom-blended to match the original color, including the black along the base. A note on the pictures: the two full-length shots of the cabinet. Front and back, were reproduced from glossies taken before the counter went into storage. They're not accurate as to color. Fantastic Arts& Crafts Cabinet With Minton's China Tiles depicting Aesop's Fables The details on the doors suggest this may have been made by Kimbel and Cabus. Given the use of Minton's tiles, the decorative flat hinges, and there is a paper label on the back with a New York address(but most of the writing is obscured) It is also possible this was made by another NY firm that was influenced by K&C, since this probably dates to the 1890s, maybe even up to 1910, which would have been at the end, or past the end of the Kimbel and Cabus business. Another possibility is that the doors were repurposed from an earlier K&C cabinet and this was made by someone else, circa 1900 and it was built around the doors. The keyholes do not have an actual lock and there is no sign of a lock ever on the doors. The patina matches on all ... moreof the wood. We are selling what you see and providing information to be helpful. We are not suggesting any value based upon the possible maker of the cabinet. Overall good condition with great old patina and and lots of wear to the wood. A few of the teeth across the front are chipped off. The back boards have some cracks and the space between them has probably widened over time. Due to the wood shrinking& drying-out. One side of the compartments is missing the shelf, which could be replaced, but maybe a bigger space on one side is better. This has a castle-dungeon look and while the roughness is part of the style, it still needs a good cleaning. The hinges are fine and custom-made, not hardware store stock. There is an old, partially obscured paper label on the back with a New York address. Overall about 37-1/2" Tall x 27" Wide The 2 enclosed compartments are about 12" x 12" x 8" deep The lower shelf is 7" tall x 25" wide x 5" deep*Due to the size shipping will be through Fed-Ex. This antique Italian secretary is a work of art. It has fold out top doors and beautifully made miniature shelves and drawers. Each piece fits only where it is now. This is a super old door that could have went off of an old medicine cabinet or really any kind of cabinet for that matter. It has crazy old mirrored glass. The back looks to be lead paint, and the wood itself is 1 inch think exactly which shows the age itself. It has the original porcelain knob still on it and lock mechanism on side for a skeleton key. Also, has original brass hinges. It does have some wear to it but could definitely still be used to make a killer cabinet. I have not attempted to clean this at all. It came straight out of an old barn in Maryland. This is a fairly heavy piece due to thickness of wood. Measures about 18 x 28 1/4 x 1. Ask any other questions you make have. To Describe: Offered is an appealing old cabinet with a lovely glowing honey patina that appears to have been handmade way back when. I have never done anything to clean the wood other than dry dusting with a soft cotton cloth. So as to not disturb or possibly ruin this patina…it appears that it might have been paste waxed at some time, simply because it has that soft waxed glow look about it. If you look close at the slightly uneven cute top scalloped top. You can see this was not a factory made cabinet. And it appears to me to be both pegged and nailed. With some old golden tan filler on it… However. My husband who taught industrial arts for 30 years and also has made some great furniture, said it was handmade from old fruit boxes and put together with“Box Nails- Old Style with Wood Filler Over Them” The sides are made from old boards that ... morewere stamped or embossed with letters inside an overall oval design into the wood and I believe they spell out; FROM THE LAND OF SUNSHINE- FRUITS” It was difficult to read all of the partly worn center words. It was sourced in Brussels and french polished to bring back its original beauty. The cabinet has a shelf inside and a smaller drawer at the bottom. Six(06) Antique wooden cabinet feet removed from circa 1840s court house cabinet. Half of the feet remain unpainted.the other three are painted. Two have some bug damaged as seen in photos. One has damage where it attached to cabinet and the other on one side. Feet are 6" h) x 3" w) and possibly made of maple.but not sure. Very nice pieces that were turned on a lathe an individually hand sawed off. Bug damage is minor compare to the overall quality of these feet.
