Antique English Sterling Silver Covered Buffet Server London 1800's 56+Ounces
Make an offer on this lovely piece of English Sterling Silver from the 1800s. First of all.I had taken this to a local antique mall.and all they did was basically weigh it.I did a lot of my research on the marks online. The piece weighs approximately 1770 grams.or nearly 57 troy ounces. The entire piece is 15.5" x 8 7/8"about 7.5" tall. Each piece was made by a different person.in a different year. I found this odd. But the piece do match nicely. Starting with the lid.you will see a handle which looks like bone or ivory. The hallmarks are on the inside of the lid. R.H. was the maker. I found out that is Robert Hennel III. The city was London.and a scripted G for 1843. There are some scratches and a couple minor dings in the cover. The is a crest in printed as well in the lid.which reads Audaces Fortuna Juvat. I did my best ... moreto get some nice pics for you. The handled tray portion also has the crest imprinted on the inside of it. It is also hallmarked London with a date letter N.1808. I do not know who the maker was on this.its marked R.C. or R.G.but I can't make it out. There are also scratches and such from use.however.I don't see and minor or major dings/dents. My favorite part of this ensamble is the base.with its beautiful craw feet! The base was not polished or cleaned like the other 2 pieces were.so it still has a nice patina. Nicely marked with the London mark.and a date letter F for 1801. The maker on this was W.R.I could not figure out who that was. Please look at all the pictures closely before submitting an offer. I will consider all offer.so long as you don't try and get me for scrap prices. If you are not happy with the item.you may return it for a full refund.but please note.I do not do partial refunds. Late 1800's to early 1900's, ecru linen buffet runner or mantel scarf with needlework and dangling balls(that are heavier then they look) This gorgeous Victorian runner measures approximately 69" long x 20" across(including the needlework border but not the dangles) It is in good condition but does have a few areas of discoloration from age and use and one, small worn through spot in the top right(see photos, I have not laundered it) This is another very rare piece of Victorian handiwork that will look beautiful displayed in any collection. The hutch is in two pieces. The top has 2 shelves and the bottom has 3 drawers and 3 cupboard doors. The bottom cupboard is open without dividers so long pieces can be stored. The assembled piece is 82" x 58" x 20" One Christmas. A candle burned the edge of the bottom shelf(last pic) but I do not feel it detracts. It looks like a knothole. In 1985. Spectacular& rare customized antique side table Check out the stunning gorgeous walnut flame/burl grains on the top.incredible beauty which was hidden under a failed opaque finish I restored this table using my own special black distressed hand rubbed finish.The entire finish was hand restored including hand scraping& sanding the top. By design. I left nicks, dings, veneer chips, and character marks in the wood prior to restoration. You can see the beautiful chestnut colors show through the hand rub distressed black finish. I sealed the black with hand rubbed varnish as a glaze to provide a special depth and beauty. The table dates from Circa 1920.the Kiel company operated their second plant in Milwaukee. Wisconsin between 1912-1932 Made by Kiel Furniture Company of Milwaukee. The entire leg/stretcher rail assembly was carefully taken apart and restored by gluing/clamping and screwing everything in place making it non-removable, the table is now rock solid, it was very wiggly-jiggly prior to restoration. There was no need for the sides/legs to be removable, so I chose to make it much more solid I love the original trim around the edges of the top. It has great details The top is made from a 4 way book-matched(4 pieces of veneer book-matched together)walnut burl veneer.I meticulously hand rubbed 10 coats of varnish to achieve the incredible luster and depth which showcases the walnut wood.there are small natural cracks& a few tiny dings in the center of the top burled area.all character is consistent with its age. That is what makes it a beautiful antique The medallions on the ends. Sides& legs are made from Bakelite(original resin) or Bakelite type material. The medallions have some cracks and a few medallions have cracks& small pieces missing. LOT OF 2 TWO Antique Tapestry Table Runner 49 x 13 & 45 x 16 buffet cloth
Up for bid are these 2 different table runners. I found them in a box along side what was mostly tapestries. I can't be sure about age. But a few of the other items I found in that box were marked with 40's to 60's manufacture dates.so again, these for sure have some age, exactly how much is up in the air. One measures about 45 x 16 inches, the other measures about 49 x 13 inches. Maybe you can see in the photos I think these are considered reversible? Not sure what material they are made from? Really good condition, notice a few minimal frays at corners etc. These are really nice. I anticipate buyer to be thrilled without question, but if not I will refund no problem.

This is an antique buffet cabinet. My best guess is about 100 years old. Makers mark: Nelson Matter. Co. Grand Rapids Michigan. This was one of the quality furniture makers that made Grand Rapids famous along with Berkey& Gay, etc. Everything appears to be original, no prior restoration work has been performed. Beveled glass mirror, book matched veneer on doors. All hinges and knobs appear to be original, one knob needs to be re-attached, one keyhole brass rim is missing. No key for the drawers. Antique Buffet cabinet think Cherry wood with pull out liquor shelf good shape
I don't know much about this piece it measures 6 foot x 37 inches x 18 inches at widest edge. I've owned this cabinet for 20 years and only need to sell because I'm down sizing and this cabinet is to large for my next house. I believe the wood is cherry. The cabinet has four doors on the front. Two of the door have a wire see through front and the inside back wall is mirrors. These doors need a little repair but nothing is missing. The outside of the cabinet has some scratches and the top need to be refinished. In the inside is three removable shelves the top shelf pulls out and has holds to hold glasses and the center is a glass mirror and the back section that pulls out is mirrored. The Table is 38" wide, 62" long when extension are put away and 96" with the open extensions. The Side Board is 66" long, 21" wide and about 37.5" high. It has 2 end doors, 1 large bottom middle drawer with silverware holder and 1 smaller center to drawer. It also has a glass top that sits on top of it. There are 6 chairs only 1 has arms. This buffet turned out gorgeous! There are so many details to this piece. Like the blue glass knobs on the middle drawers, drawer liners, claw feet and painted doors inside and outside. The whole piece is almost all solid wood. This would look good for a pop of color in your living room. A credenza in a dining room or in a bedroom as a dresser. Antique Walnut Wood & Beveled Mirror For Buffet Dresser Mantle Sideboard
Very nice vintage or antique mirror that looks as though it came from a buffet. Sideboard cupboard, or a mantle. This is a very heavy item. The wood frame is a dark wood and looks like walnut but could be oak. The top of the mirror comes to a swirled point and then into a square. The back is put together with nails and wavy staples. There was new picture wire hanger that was added to the mirror when I purchased it but I removed it. that is why there are two holes on each side. There are no markings or numbers on the mirror. Measures 27-1/4"L x 17"H x 3/4" thick. The mirror is beveled around the edges and does have dark silvery spots in places. Absolutely gorgeous antique French? Shabby chic, country sideboard or buffet cabinet made of oak. A real gem& stunning. There is one large drawer with 2 knobs, which has a removable inset to divide the drawer into 2 sections. There appear to have been one or two further insets which are no longer there. The cupboard has 2 shelves.I have painted the exterior(excluding back) and the interior of the doors in 3 coats of Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint& then tastefully distressed it to highlight the beautiful carvings& to give it a shabby chic look. It has then been given a good coat of Annie Sloan clear wax to preserve it for many years to come.I have left the back in it's original condition(please see pictures to see raised splits which do not affect the solid craftsmanship) to maintain the history of the item. The inside of ... morethe large drawer& 2 shelves have also been untouched. The thick oak shelves are lovely& have been beautifully made. The top of the sideboard has opened up a little( see photo) due to shrinkage commensurate with a piece of furniture of this age but does not affect its function. Circa 1960 Yew wood Locking doors with one key Repaired foot Darker circles to top Light surface scratches and dings Sturdy. Good overall condition, Yew wood is an indigenous wood to England. Where this buffet or console was made making full use of the beautiful grain and color that yew wood has. This antique style console is the perfect size for a variety of uses including as a dining room piece or to go under a TV and house TV peripherals. With three drawers and three locking cabinets, there is plenty of storage space in this yew ... morewood buffet. Each cabinet door houses one shelf that has three different height adjustments. The piece sits up on bracket feet, which makes it appear less blocky and more airy. We figure it was made around 1960 or so. You will notice from the pictures that there are two circles of darker color on the top. This is probably where two lamps or large hurricanes sat and kept the light from hitting the top of the sideboard in those areas. This meant that the wood underneath did not patinate like the rest of the wood. The front left bracket foot has been broken and repaired. The repair is strong but visible. There are also very light surface scratches to the top. They are hard to see unless you have the right kind of light which is why we took a picture of the top with a glare on it to highlight those marks. There are a few dings around the mouldings as well. But overall this is a very sturdy and good condition piece of yew wood furniture that will serve any home or office well for years to come! It features a four section design, with the top section being an upper shelf with a decoratively carved backboard finished with ... morefinials to each side. The mid section of this glorious cabinet has two parts- the servery top and its features. Together with drawers and cupboard beneath. The servery top has a marble slab insert, in brown, cream and grey colourway, and a small raised shelf on beautifully carved and turned supports. Beneath the servery surface there are two drawers, with lovely heavy age patina, original handles and deep, quality carving. The 2-door cupboard has carved central panels to each door. The piece is finished with a substantial undershelf, again with lovely carved and turned supports. The piece sits on squat bun feet.
