Icanthus leaves and other carvings including column front legs ... moreand rush bottom seats, imported through Edinburgh, Scotland and in a Henry II style, these most probably were manufactured there in Scotland or perhaps England in the early to mid-twentieth century. I have noted in my description of condition above that one of the rush bottom seats on this set is broken through, and simply replaced at present with a wood board underneath the seat cushion. I have taken this into account and am selling these chairs"as is" for a great price for someone looking to invest a little love into bringing them back to their full glory by replacing the seat(s) These side dining chairs stand 37 1/2 inches tall and measure 17 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches front to back. The seat height is 18 inches and the seats themselves are 17 1/2 inches wide tapering to 14 inches wide across the back and 15 inches deep. Front to back. I show in my final two photo's that I have a second very similiar set of chairs that could be used together for someone looking for 12 dining chairs.
