And not dirty. They are just mighty aged. And have not been restored. So, authentic chic'n shabby, as shown. My intention. Was to strip and refinish. But that didn't happen. I kept these beds on hand for extra guests. Each has 2" wide Steel'L' shape brackets to hold a platform. And I just added a 3/4" thick strand board from Home Depot. Cut short for ease to 32" x 72" And these hold a ton. No prob. These beds come apart. 4 pieces each, and are easy to assemble by hand. I do not know that these size beds are called twin. I believe that they. Are a little longer and a bit narrower. These were made using Thick Wood. The Side Rails are 1.5" thick. And the footboards and headboards are 1.25" thick. Here are the measurements: The Headboard height is 47.75" 48" in height at the Center. The Footboard height is 32" from the ground to the top at the center. The Widths of these beds. The headboards and footboards, is 39" The Width at the center. From and including rail to rail, is about 36" These rails are 78" in length. ANTIQUE Blue Toile Bed Curtains. Spread, Valences 1850s An extraordinary and one of a kind item. This is an ensemble for a four post tester bed and it consists of a bedspread. Valences, bed curtains, and canopy. The cloth was roller printed with a large scale indigo blue motif on an antique white background; the pattern is an Oriental pheasant chinnoise. The fabric was all hand loomed. Pieces were all hand sewn and several were fringed with a hand knotted cotton trim. The fabric is a linen and cotton weave. I believe it was probably made sometime around 1850 but some of the fringe seems to be several years earlier. It seems the ensemble being re-worked at some point and the project was never finished. There are several pieces and a huge amount of fabric that can still be used(there's more than 12 yards of it) Following is an itemization ... moreof the pieces. Sizes, and condition. Canopy Made from two panels. Fringed on three sides; unfringed side had tabs sewn to it(possibly for use as a large curtain) Measures about 86 inches x 89 inches. Five inch fringe was machine made but hand knotted. Some fading on about half the cloth, some oxidation were cloth was folded(effects about 1/16 of cloth) Bedspread Made from two panels. Fringed on three sides. Measures 72 inches x 78 inches, fringe adds 5 inches. Cut for a four poster. Slight fade along bottom edge, a few dark spots. Pair Curtains(2 Panels) Tabs sewn to tops. No fringe. Each panel measures 48 inches x 87 inches. Both panels have a strip of fabric(same pattern) sewn to what might have been a center opening. Oxidation line down center of one panel and along a selvege edge(about 8 inches) Single Curtain Made from two panels. Tabs sewn to top, no fringe. Measures about 80 inches x 88 inches. Faded, old repair at one corner of top, oxidation along a few crease lines. Pair Valences Extra wide and long. These measure 38 inches x 92 inches. This is a copper and brass bed warmer. It has a plate on the front that reads" Prince George Hotel London" According to information I received this is from about 1930. It has a long decorative wooden handle. With a ring for hanging. It is in very good vintage-antique condition. There are some signs of age and use, such as patina built up around the brass, and some"dings" in the copper, mostly to the backside. It still displays wonderfully, and makes for a great conversation-piece. It's measurements are just under 37" from floor up. The pan is about 10 1/2" wide. The weight is difficult to register accurately right now, because it's not in a box. It's at least 3 lbs,probably about 6 lbs packaged. Antique queen size four poster bed with top rail
Beautiful antique queen sized bed made of solid mahogany. The bed was assembled from two antique single four poster beds from the early 19th century by a master carpenter. In addition to the four posts the bed has a carbed rail that goes all the way around the top of the bed. The bed can be disassembled into eight pieces for transport. I couldn't get a photo of the entire bed because the bed is in a smallish room and I don't have a wide angle lens on my camera. The bed was valued at $1000- $1500 twenty years ago by an expert appraiser. So this is a true bargain. The bed is in excellent condition. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the top rail but it is not noticeable because it occurred before the bed was assembled and refinished. Local pickup only or delivery in the D.C. area for the cost of a rental truck.

Absolutely yummy antique/vintage hand crocheted bed coverlet in full size. 72 inches x 90 inches) It is stain free and wear free. No rips or tears. This is a rare pattern and is assumed to be within 1920 and 1940 though it is absolutely possible that it predates that time. Crochet for larger items like this one was most popular between the late 1800's and the 1930's. This is some type of pinwheel pattern and the design forms somewhat of a dahlia flower. The owner of this estate piece was a collector but we were unable to locate her information on this particular piece to be any more specific. It was stored nicely and I have given it a wash.
