These white ground fabrics are quite difficult to photograph well! ~*~ ~ this textile is an antique French bed curtain panel dating c 1880 ~This wonderful curtain panel would have surrounded a very large, French bed in the late 19th century~~ the gorgeous fabric was block printed using hand carved wooden blocks ~ ~ this wonderful panel is a very finely woven, linen and cotton mix ~ stunning antique white ground with muted golden caramel, ruddy deep red and charcoal black/ brown ~ The top of this panel tis 100% hand stitched and gathered for hanging with a lovely linen tape at the back~ ~*~ the bottom has a beautiful hand stitched hem. Antique tambour on net lace bed cover. Silk stitched flowers. White"petals" surrounding pale pink centres alternating with pale pink"petals" surrounding white centres. The beautifully soft net is a creamy champagne colour. Ruffle for sides of bed is about 16" deep. Scalloped edge with thickly embroidered large pale pink and white flowers. Above is a 4½" border of the same flowers running the whole length. The centre is about 50" wide. Plain 3" net lace edge top and bottom. About 90" long. There are some small holes and quite a few repairs(see last photos) The repairs look as though they were made at the time this lace was embroidered. Same threads and stitches. The embroidery work is in the center panel and is 24" x 15" The turn down is 34" deep. The embroidery is a lovely floral ROSES flower motif on the turn down section and the words BONNE NUIT(Good Night) The bed sheet also features cutwork and drawn threadwork pulled threads along the 3 sides of the turn down area. There are also button holes so that you can thread a ribbon through the bed sheet. Turn down Top Bed Sheet Measurements 92” x 110” approx. The weight of the bed sheet is 920 grams. This is an older bed sheet as it has been made with 3 linen panels. Antique Wrought Iron & Brass Crib Converted ToToddler Bed/ Day Bed Display Piece
We are pleased to offer to the market this great antique crib. This piece is made from wrought iron and has brass accents on the head and foot rails. It has been converted to a day and is being sold for display purposes only. The previous owner had cushions made to use as a day bed/bench. This piece measures as follows: Height = 41.5" Width = 29.5" Length = 54.5" 16" from floor to top edge of box spring. There is a 3" space between the rails on the end pieces and the side pieces have a 4" space between the rails. The metal box spring is intact with no damage to the springs. Both of the side rails are with htis piece. the fifth picture shows the unattached side leaning against it. One of the rods for attaching the side rails is bent. A second rod has the hook to hold side up broken and there is a very minor bend/sag ... morein the bottom part of one of the side rails. The piece has the original metal to hold the casters but does not have any casters on it. There are age and use appropriate scratches and dings to the paint. We purchased this from an antique store several years ago and it was missing a leg. My husband is an expert wood craftsman and matched the leg perfectly. I challenge you to identify the replaced leg. Also included, would be the foam mattress we had custom made. We were told that back then, they used straw or other materials to fill large cloth bags for the mattress. The bed size is odd and a double mattress is too big, twin is too small, so we had a foam one made. We also have a mattress cover for it. It is all included. Antique Metal Lathe, flat bed, nice legs, some tooling/accessories...real cute
Welcome I am selling an early lathe as shown. I have searched pictures upon pictures to identify it but I haven't come close. It has a flat bed that seems to be in good condition. It measures total 44" It is 6" deep from outside to outside ways and 1-1/2" gap in between. The legs are unique due to the"shelf" Which appears to be cast as one piece. The steady rest is brass(as far as I could see) The chuck is a 6-1/4" E.Horton. The tailstock moves left to right by turning the key which is included. There are 25 gears included. One small gear has 2 half broken teeth. One small gear has small chips on 3 teeth. 2 leather belts are included as well as a chunk of machined metal that fits on the bed. As you can see. The countershaft is intact and quite nice looking. This very nice looking lathe was assembled for use ... moreand well cared for. Only i am sure it can be classified as as antique, whether it is 19th century or 20th century.It has pins, and hooks to support a box springs and mattress. with a width of(47 1/2 inches) or to set on the bed rails which would expand to(width of 54 1/2 inches) And a length of 71 inches. It has pins that line the bed rails, i don't know why, as i don't know much about cannonball beds. Wood appears mahogany, with signs of wear, but no serious damage. It is quite heavy. You're looking at 3/4 of an antique"Bars" quilt from Greenville County. S.C. mostly pieced using an old treadle machine. The bars are different colors of the same fabric except for the red ones ~ which bring a great pop of color. Dating to the 1920's. Measures 70" x 62" perfect for hanging or for a twin bed. Backing is a bold white with black stripe fabric which was brought over to front for binding. The binding is pretty shot but someone went around the quilt with a machine and sewed a line completely around, about 1" from the outside, which has stabilized it. Nevertheless, you would probably want to replace binding. Body of quilt is in remarkably good shape and quite visually pleasing. A few not large stains on back.
