'20's folk art "Bars" antique quilt, Greenville Co., S.C, twin bed, 70" x 62"
You're looking at 3/4 of an antique"Bars" quilt from Greenville County. S.C. mostly pieced using an old treadle machine. The bars are different colors of the same fabric except for the red ones ~ which bring a great pop of color. Dating to the 1920's. Measures 70" x 62" perfect for hanging or for a twin bed. Backing is a bold white with black stripe fabric which was brought over to front for binding. The binding is pretty shot but someone went around the quilt with a machine and sewed a line completely around, about 1" from the outside, which has stabilized it. Nevertheless, you would probably want to replace binding. Body of quilt is in remarkably good shape and quite visually pleasing. A few not large stains on back. Antique French Louis Philippe Day Bed, c. 1820-40, Biedermeier
This is wonderful French Day bed from the Louis Philippe era(1820-40) but beautifully veneered and designed in the Biedermeier style(1815-1840's) that the rage at the time. It measures approximately 82" long. 36" tall and 28 1/2" deep. The front rail is 12 1/2" high, and the back rail in not veneered(so it could not sit in the middle of the room) The head board and foot board are connected to the two rails with hand forged screws with holes at the top. The piece is in excellent condition except that the top right has a piece of missing veneer. This piece just came in and we wanted to get it on line. After the new year, we will check with the restorer on having this missing piece repaired, and the asking price will go up slightly. I will be lisitng other parts from a treadle sewing machine. This is a RARE model WHITE sewing machine with a beautiful scene on the bed it is amazing this should be in a museum. I have never seen this model before and the metal name tag looks great. This has the bullet style bobbin and a working thread winder and the wheel has a release lever so it can spin freely. The Last in Bed to Put Out the Light" Welcome to my auction! For your consideration is a lovely Victorian porcelain Fairing"The Last in Bed to Put Out the Light" Hand painted. Made in Germany during the mid-to-late 19th century, most likely by Conta& Boehme. There is an impressed number"2851" on the underside with a couple of other number markings. The base measures approximately 3 x 3.5 inches(7 x 8.5 cm) Stands at almost 3.5 inches(8.5 cm) tall. The weight is nice and heavy at about 12.4 ounces. Although this is a very common fairing, this is a very good, old example. Good Antique Condition: No chips or cracks. The candle is intact on this piece(these were very often deliberately broken off during the Victorian period) But I am not sure if it has had a repair or not. ~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ Glorious and RARE ~ this wonderful textile is an antique French toile pelmet/ valance that dates c1830-1835. This wonderful fabric was printed in Mulhouse and is the most stunning raspberry pink tone! The design is glorious! ~ This textile would have hung from a 4 poster bed. This textile weighs just over 3 pounds ~*~ The backing is a wonderful. Nubby heavy homespun hemp and the original tape for hanging is still intact on the back. This textile has a wonderful return on the back at the bottom of the scallop. There is a medium weight cotton batting between the layers and this textile is 100% hand stitched and quilted. A very very high quality textile! This textile appears to have had a layer of fabric on the outside that was removed AND peeking under the side, I can see another layer of printed toile ... moreunderneath this layer!~ The left facing side is cut and the bottom, top and right facing sides are all trimmed with a linen and cotton natural trim. A GLORIOUS textile ~! Another beautiful piece fresh out of an old antique chest at an estate sale. I found this lovely handmade crocheted bedspread or coverlet. It is quite large and much heavier than the other one I have listed, so I believe it is a bedspread rather than a tablecloth. It has a star design and beautiful border that is scalloped in a pointed design. Condition of the table cloth is very good, again, with a little dust and I only found one very light faded small spot. Would really be well worth restoring with some TLC. This is a dying art and I am seeing less and less of them in my travels. One can only imagine the time it took to create this work of art. This textile has hand stitched hems on either end. the tone of the stripes is lovely! This textile has some fading. Which is gorgeous! So, the stripes vary gradually in tone from red, to a lovely faded pinky salmon red! Found in an old barn in northern New Hampshire is this old fashioned soap stone warmer.In good condition and still plenty usable. Description Vintage hand-made crochet bed cover coverlet“sunflower and popcorn” Off-white in color, extra large in size! It measures 94 inches across the top where there is no fringe, and 90 inches long. There is 5 inches fringe on all three sides except for across the very top where your pillows locate. Unique and stunning off-white color textile is an estate-sale find. This textile is knitted with ecru and sunflower cotton and has significant weight. Beautiful raised rosettes. Two borders are scalloped(in a zig-zag) while other two borders are finished with a raised“popcorn” design. Hand work is incredible. Condition: Clean. But some very minor stains.

The longer one was on the center leg of the table. A couple have small chips but not on the rolling surfaces.
