Vintage Chinese Silver Filigree Jade with Enamel Flower Bracelet and Brooch
This beautiful well made Jade bracelet is being auctioned off. Made in China circa 1950 it has a vermeil finish that does show some age. However still appears a warm golden color. That said, the turquoise and lilac enamel flowers are in mint condition, with no cracking or chipping. Jade stones measure 1/2 inch across and 3/4 inch in length. These doomed marbled jade cabochons are smooth and glossy and test for jade. The bracelet measures slightly less than 7 and 1/4 inch in length. The closure is tongue in box and closes securely and is stamped silver. This bracelet shows no irregularities or signs of repair. The bracelet is of substantial weight. Along with this bracelet comes a matching lovely Jade brooch measuring 1 1/4 inches long and a just a tad short of 1 inch. Jade is somewhat darker in brooch. This is a beautiful Vintage/Antique Chinese Sterling Silver and Enamel Victorian Filigree Spider Web Bracelet. There are seven. Octagon shaped spider webs, sterling wire as fine as thread, each with an pink and green enameled delicate sterling spider on top. The bracelet is 7 1/2"L x 7/8"W. It has a slide pin closure. These Chinese"Lucky" Spider Web bracelets are hard to come by, but this enameled version is really rare. I had my jeweler test this and it is sterling. This beautiful old piece does have wear and imperfections. When I acquired it. Half of the enamel was either chipped, or completely missing so I went ahead and restored the enamel matching the colors as true as possible. I used a cold process that involves the use of liquid enamels and durable clear polymer that mimics fired glass enamel very effectively. Lovely Chinese Export Silver gold gilt enamel bracelet that has all enamel intact as well as the gold gilt. The stones are most likely adventurine. And are genuine stones, not glass, being tested on a gem tester. The gem tester is showing jadeite but I am NOT selling this as it is coming up on the tester because the stones look more like adventurine. The tester does show that these stone are not glass, or they would come up in that range. Anyone familiar with the Presidium will know this. It is all hand done with intensive and careful work. It weighs 21grams. Perfect except for. The inner chip.which can be repaired.It is 3"inches in diameter. 9"inches all the way around. The enamel. This is an outstanding carved jadeite enamel bracelet that is in near mint condition. I have changed from mint in this decription to avoid any problems with buyers who may feel in their interpretation that this is not in perfect condition as these are very old bracelets. The bracelet is hallmarked silver on the clasp. Coy fish enamel work embellish this heirloom piece. The jade disks have absolutely no chips or flaws. The enamel is bright with no major fade. We had an apple green highlight Jade pierced and carved stone custom fit into this bracelet. The carved jade piece is being shown tested on a Presidium Gem Tester. The bracelet is silver with no copper. Hallmarked China and silver. Most of the tarnish has been removed from this bracelet and it is restored to its original patina.
