Vintage Antique Chinese Silver Filigree Ox Bone Scrimshaw& Painted Flowers Bracelet! You are bidding on a vintage Antique Chinese Silver(tested between.900 and 100% Silver) Filigree bracelet with Scrimshaw carved Ox Bone and hand painted Tiles of Flowers. There are 6 colorful handpainted inset tiles that make up this intricate and very impressive bracelet. Each in a setting of ornate filigree silver. Each Ox Bone Scrimshaw image measures 1/2" long, by 3/8" wide and the bracelet measures 11/16" wide from silver edge to edge. This is a very old Chinese Bracelet dated from the early 1900's. It is in impeccable condition with vibrant colorful flowers on each Ox Bone tile. There are no broken or loose metal work in each setting, in the hing coils that connect the settings, or in the clasp. The clasp closes with a nice snap ... moreand remains closed. The top of the pin when pressed down releases the clasp and opens the bracelet up. The clasp is exquisitely detailed in fine filigree! This bracelet measures 7 1/2" in length from end to end fully open, although one has to remember that the pin inserts into the clasp, so when the bracelet is closed on your wrist, it measures 7" This bracelet has a warm vintage patina to it, and portrays many different flowers and flower combinations. The bracelet could use a light cleaning only by a professional, and there is a little bit of paper on the back of the clasp(seen best in photo 7) that will easily come off with a damp cloth. I do not polish my bracelets, leaving that decision to the buyer. The bracelet has 5 intricate filigree panels with a orange coral stone in the center of each panel. Each panel measures approx. 1 1/4" x 7/8" The total length of the bracelet is approx. 7 1/2" including the clasp. The bracelet is marked"Silver" then what looks like the word"China" although the N and C are backwards. There is another emblem which I can't make out. The total weight of the bracelet is approx. 34.2 grams. This bracelet came from an Estate. I did not try to clean it in any way. It does have some areas of discoloration to the silver and will require cleaning or polishing. Some panels do not lay perfectly flat. The 3 in the middle have a slight curve to them. Antique Chinese export silver coral filigree bracelet, rare, huge, superb!
This is the finest example of an antique silver filigree bracelet that I have seen. I have researched many long hours to find one that can compare. My very best guess is that it is an Asian export that dates around the Nouveau period. The filigree work is without equal and comprised untold hours of painstaking silversmithing. The design of filigree appears to be Asian. It is marked.800 for silver and when acid tested, did turn deep red. The natural corals are in splendid condition as are the freshwater pearls that adorn this bracelet. The largest of the coral measures 15mm X 10mm. The inside circumference, closed, is approximately 7 3/4 inches. I have shown in a photo a tiny 5mm area of filigree of damage which can easily be repaired by a competent jeweler. I have put off having it repaired as it is so small that not one admirer has ever ... morenoticed. The height at the tallest area is just over 3 inches and the height at the clasp is just over 1 1/4 inch. The clasp is tight and the hinges as well. The weight is 75.3 grams. Due to my wrists being freakishly thin, the few times I have worn this, I have worn over my cuff. This bracelet carries a beautiful patina and I would not recommend cleaning this excepting only by a competent jeweler. Vintage Chinese Silver Filigree Jade with Enamel Flower Bracelet and Brooch
This beautiful well made Jade bracelet is being auctioned off. Made in China circa 1950 it has a vermeil finish that does show some age. However still appears a warm golden color. That said, the turquoise and lilac enamel flowers are in mint condition, with no cracking or chipping. Jade stones measure 1/2 inch across and 3/4 inch in length. These doomed marbled jade cabochons are smooth and glossy and test for jade. The bracelet measures slightly less than 7 and 1/4 inch in length. The closure is tongue in box and closes securely and is stamped silver. This bracelet shows no irregularities or signs of repair. The bracelet is of substantial weight. Along with this bracelet comes a matching lovely Jade brooch measuring 1 1/4 inches long and a just a tad short of 1 inch. Jade is somewhat darker in brooch. This is a beautiful Antique/Vintage Chinese Sterling Silver and Jade Filigree Panel Link Bracelet. There are seven. Gorgeous, brilliant green Jade nugget-shaped cabochon set stones, surrounded by intricate filigree details. The bracelet measures 7 3/4"L x 5/8"W and it weighs 22.5 grams. It's stamped"Globe Sterling" on one side of the clasp and"Silver" on the other. I also had my jeweler test this and it is sterling. This listing is for and absolutley beautiful vintage or antique Chinese silver possibly vermeil(not marked) filigree 3 panel bracelet with incredibly detailed scrimshaw engravings of graceful brids set amognst tiny calligraphy and a red mark seal. Each panel engraving is flanked by a gorgeous silver setting with two butterflies. There is one issue with the clasp that needs repair-it doesn't latch and would need to be soldered by a jeweler but shouldn't be too expensive to have this done. Rows of elegant wavy filigree provide an elegant background for an applied sterling Chinese character and dancing men with raised details on either side. At the top is beautiful repousse work of serpents as they move across and flower details on the other side. It measures 2" wide and the the inside diameter across is 2 1/2" on one end and 2 3/4" on the other and the opening in back is 1 3/4" It weighs 49.1 grams. For sale is a 7" long 5-link sterling silver and jade filigree bracelet. I am not an expert on this type of filigree. But a similar piece was listed as Chinese, Made for Export. The only markings on this bracelet is"silver" stamped on the latch. Extremely ornate and detailed filigree work, with each link meauring 1 3/4" x 7/8" and about 1/2" to the tops of the jade cobochons. Please use the pictures and your own knowledge to decide. This is a magnificent Vintage/Antique Chinese Sterling Silver Gilt Carved Carnelian Filigree Bracelet. There are three. Large, hand-carved rich Carnelian stones in Buddha likenesses, each one slightly different and surrounded by beautifully raised and intricate filigree work. The bracelet measures 7" length and it is just under 1 3/4" in width and it weighs a very substantial 86 grams. It's stamped"Silver" under the clasp, but I also had my jeweler test this and it is sterling under the gold gilt. The carved Buddhas on each side each have a small crack which I didn't even notice until I photographed this piece, photo 3,5) and I'm not sure if there are part of the natural stone or if it is from age and wear.
