Fabulous antique Art Deco or possibly earlier Chinese Silver and finely hand carved pale Celadon Jade hinged cuff bracelet. Amazingly detailed engravings of an under water world filled with sea life completely cover ever part of the Silver's surface. I can see lobsters. Crabs, octopi, fish, eels and lots more including some very strange looking sea creatures. An incredible piece of workmanship. The large jade medallions are carved into ridges. Highly polished and very smooth. The geometric shaped of the ri9dges is what made me think this wonderful bracelet was made in the 1920's to 1930's Art Deco Period, but is could certainly be mush older. Interior of bracelet is stamped in an antique font, CHINA SILVER. Bracelet measures 1 1/2" high X 7 1/2" in interior circumference and weighs a hefty 67.7 grams. Beautiful and quite large and heavy antique Chinese Nephrite Jade and Silver gilt hinged bangle bracelet. The jade bangle measures approximately 13.5mm in diameter. Exterior measures 3 5/8" and interior measurement is about 2 5/8" Weighs a very hefty 102.3 grams. Entire outer surface of jade is exquisitely hand carved with animals and deities. The large Silver Gilt hinge and clasp are both hand engraved with flowers and vines. Clasp opens when you turn the lovely screw mechanism which both locks and unlocks the bangle. works perfectly and is very secure. Silver is stamped with a tiny partial Chinese character mark I have tried to photograph for you. Quite difficult to see. But definitely there. This auction is for a beautiful genuine Vintage jade bangle bracelet with yellow gold plated engraved hinges and safety chain. It measures approximately 7" around the inside. 9 3/4" around the outside and opens approximately another 2 1/2" with the safety chain.The hinge and clasp are in perfect condition and the clasp closes tightly. It is stamped 14K on the inside of the hinge. The bracelet appears to be in Excellent Condition and is described to the best of my knowledge.
