Loads of photos below- I wanted you to see how very special this stunning early bracelet is! I sold this piece some months ago on ebay(the high bidder was in China) It came back to me stamped as not having been picked up from the post office(I'm assuming that the purchaser didn't want to pay the duty/customs charges) So the buyer's money was refunded and back on ebay it goes- needless to say. I no longer ship to China. It's a superb, highly detailed piece, signed on the interior in areas(a total of 5 hallmarks) Quite hefty for such a thin piece, it weighs 23 grams. As you can see from the photos, there is some bending to the metal, not visible on the outside, one darkened are on the interior and age related wear to the metal. I'm not sure of the silver content- it does look like sterling to me, but I'm hoping one of ... morethe marks on the interior will give some indication to those who can read Chinese. Vintage Antique Chinese Silver Filigree Scrimshaw Flowers Bracelet
Vintage Antique Chinese Silver Filigree Ox Bone Scrimshaw& Painted Flowers Bracelet! You are bidding on a vintage Antique Chinese Silver(tested between.900 and 100% Silver) Filigree bracelet with Scrimshaw carved Ox Bone and hand painted Tiles of Flowers. There are 6 colorful handpainted inset tiles that make up this intricate and very impressive bracelet. Each in a setting of ornate filigree silver. Each Ox Bone Scrimshaw image measures 1/2" long, by 3/8" wide and the bracelet measures 11/16" wide from silver edge to edge. This is a very old Chinese Bracelet dated from the early 1900's. It is in impeccable condition with vibrant colorful flowers on each Ox Bone tile. There are no broken or loose metal work in each setting, in the hing coils that connect the settings, or in the clasp. The clasp closes with a nice snap ... moreand remains closed. The top of the pin when pressed down releases the clasp and opens the bracelet up. The clasp is exquisitely detailed in fine filigree! This bracelet measures 7 1/2" in length from end to end fully open, although one has to remember that the pin inserts into the clasp, so when the bracelet is closed on your wrist, it measures 7" This bracelet has a warm vintage patina to it, and portrays many different flowers and flower combinations. The bracelet could use a light cleaning only by a professional, and there is a little bit of paper on the back of the clasp(seen best in photo 7) that will easily come off with a damp cloth. I do not polish my bracelets, leaving that decision to the buyer. This is a lovely detailed vintage Antique Chinese Silver/ Sterling bracelet with gorgeous Ox Bone Scrimshaw tiles and hand painting of flowers. The photos above show the bracelet in full. I believe this bracelet dates to the early 20th century. Probably was a Chinese export piece. It has lovely mottled colors in the pierced and carved oval prong set jade medallions. It is unsigned as to maker, and is signed"Silver" on the clasp. I tested this for sterling by using a safe, non-marking acid test, and it did test positive. It is a wearable 7" x 3/4" and has a slide in clasp in good working condition, which holds well. It weighs 16.5 grams. Vintage to Antique China Chinese Charm Bracelet. Articulated Fish. 1900s-1920s
These vintage to antique early 1900s to early 1920s CHINA charm bracelet s are becoming so scarce. They are so precious—handcrafted pieces of history that offers tiny snippets of life in China 100 years ago that you can still wear and treasure today. This is a great example. Killer patina and wear to the enamel. Just great. As is typical. This is made, I think, brass and copper or some related alloy with, of course, the enamel, and each charm is a little view into daily life in China back in the day. You can see see very nice color on the bracelet's enamel cabochons. Which isn't always the case, and vestiges of color on the charms. As well. The engraved box clasp, carrying the old style CHINA mark on the back, works, and the articulated fish- worth the price of admission as these fish charms are highly prized- seems totally intact ... moreand moves easily. I love these but I'm no expert on them. But I think the charm on the end near what looks like a pagoda would have been a ricksha originally and probably had wheels. On the other end. Note the open handled sedan chair, its metal beautifully textured to suggest wicker. The bracelet is about 7 1/2" long. Vintage Antique Chinese Bracelet 7 hand painted tiles of Chinese figures
This was in my mothers jewelry box but unfortunately I do not know much about it or the material it is made of. A vintage Antique Chinese hand painted tiles bracelet. There are 7 beautifully hand painted scenes each different of chinese figurines as seen on the picture there is an 8th tile with nothing on it. The backs of the tiles are white almost like ox bone. The clas is tight and works but the 2 tiles are tarnished. I dont know if something was supposed to be on the one tile or if the two tiles are supposed to be plain. It is most unusual and unique. When closed it measures 2 1/2" in diameter. When open 7 1/2" includes clasp. Each tile measures 1" by 3/4" I strive for 100% satisfaction so feel free to email me with any questions prior to buying. Here is a very nice vintage. CHINESE GOLD GILDED SILVER and ENAMEL CUFF BRACELET. These were exported for sale from China around 1890 to the 1950's. I am not sure when this was made. But it could have been much earlier then when they were exported. This bracelet does not have the carving that is usually in the opening on its top. It was usually made from Jade. Jadeite. Or some other type of stone or soapstone. It was like this when I got it in the late 1960's. This bracelet is silver with gold gilding and has carved. Blue. Green. And turquoise. Enameled pieces mounted on it. The gilding is intact and very nice and the enameled pieces are xlnt with no wear. The figures on some of the pieces look to be of fish. It has the export hallmark. SILVER. Stamped on the inside of the clasp. It is 2 3/8" wide. 6" long when open. And ... more2 3/8" across the wrist opening. It is 1 1/8" across at its hinges and 7/8" across at the clasp. Beautiful Antique Chinese Bracelet Vintage Carved Bamboo Early Lacquerware
Up for auction is an antique or nearing antique aged bracelet made of lacquered bamboo or similar plant material finished with hand carved floral/foliate design. It is a coral to salmon red on the outer most surface. Please see close up of carved areas for under laid colors(Pics 5-7 are taken with flash to help show this amazing detail) It is a bangle style with an inner opening for wear of 2 3/4" a linear length 9+" and an outer diameter of about 3 3/8" for stacking purposes. The carving is super nice with gouge work and cross hatching at the center of the flowers, where some of the other color may be seen) and along some of the'veining' of the leaves.
