RARE Large Ornate Antique Chinese Export Carved Pierced Wood Silver Bracelet Hello bidders. Up for bid today is a truly stunning pierced carved wood Chinese bracelet. This bracelet has a stunning pierced design of flowers. Vines and flowers. The hinge and closure are chased silver. I have not tested the silver content of the silver. The silver section is marked with a block CHINA signature. The hinge is missing a small rivet which makes the hinge just slightly loose on one side. The bracelet measures just over 1 3/4" wide. The bracelet measures 9" around on the outside so should easily hold a 7" or so wrist. The bracelet is quite stunning. The silver could use some cleaning. The wood is free from any damage. I believe this bracelet dates to the early 20th century. Probably was a Chinese export piece. It has lovely mottled colors in the pierced and carved oval prong set jade medallions. It is unsigned as to maker, and is signed"Silver" on the clasp. I tested this for sterling by using a safe, non-marking acid test, and it did test positive. It is a wearable 7" x 3/4" and has a slide in clasp in good working condition, which holds well. It weighs 16.5 grams.
